Dany was born to sing this song. Don-music has a remix on his channel where he brought the bass up a little bit. It doesn't overshadow the vocals but gives Ale the showcase she deserves.
Update: looks like they soundchecked with all or some of the original lyrics, then performed in front of an audience with the clean lyrics. Saw the full performance on YT, before it got pulled down.
DPA killed this. Ale making Flea's bassline look easy. Love this version. Kind of a full circle moment too. The Warning opened for Foo Fighters shortly before Taylor Hawkins passed away. Taylor played drums for Alanis on the Jagged Little Pill album tour.
@DaneBramageROCKS don't forget the dead poet society collab hurt.2 versions the audio with all the girls and live from aftershock with Pau singing with them.
Pau, for her it's like when you're walking around while listening to the music you like on your headphones... She moves with the tranquility, calm and confidence of knowing that she's a multi-award winning and renowned musician and with the inner peace of recognizing, being very satisfied with it, that this is not another of her moments to shine. Ale, like her sister, is developing with the tranquility that comes from having spent years practicing on her bass with jazz exercises, leaving her own and well-known "mark" of excellence in her performance. Dany... With just this Dany shows us why she is the vocal leader of this tremendous power-trio... and that's it!! The band continues to evolve exponentially according to its potential in a constant, unstoppable, unavoidable virtuous circle... and this is the warning!! Thanks and greetings from México!! 🇲🇽 🤘😁✌️
I truly am fascinated by their growth and how well they are evolving. Each era brings something unique and it's just a blast to see this happen live. I agree. Thank you so much! Greetings and Merry Christmas
They do kind of have a Christmas song. On the "null" channel, there's a video titled "The Warning with Rudy Joffroy - Jingle Bell Rock," featuring their manager Rudy on vocals. This performance was at a Christmas party at the Dakota Bar in Monterrey for his company, Creative Dreams, in 2017.
Dany absolutely Crushed it, and Pau was feeling it also (Paulina's favorite breakup song), but Ale... Thunder Goddess strikes again !!! ⚡Viva The WARNING⚡ NWSU/FloorFan/Epican/Ayreonaut/TWA/PauFan🤘😎🤘.
They have also performed this song at least two other places. They played it at a charity gig in Florida right before the Latin Grammys and at a French TV show.
They did this on French TV and explained how they changed it up. Ale explained that she added to the bass line. th-cam.com/video/YltyVavVMOA/w-d-xo.html
Pau in a box, ugh. But apparently the box is to keep the drum sounds from getting into the vocal mics. I asked about it in another performance, I think it was TW on Sirius XM, and that was the explanation. Pau was using a snare brush in a couple places. Cool to see and hear, very rare if ever in performance. No surprise she nailed it, really, I'm sure her drum coaches made sure she has it mastered.
I suppose that makes sense. It is a small contained room Afterall. Yeah it was cool seeing her use those, I was like "Oh, Check that out!!" Great performance. 🤘⚡Keep on Rockin'⚡🤘
I'm a huge fan of *Jagged Little Pill,* Alanis Morissette's album that includes the original. So I was a little skeptical when I saw this pop up in my feed a few weeks ago. Then I heard it and had to scrape my jaw off the floor! THEY KILLED IT. Everything about it is better than the original, except that Pau in the box is NOT a good visual. However, I get the need for a drum isolation booth in that small studio. Recording studios love to isolate instruments and vocalists so they get pure sound without bleed-over to another track. It makes the mixer's job easier. It probably also contained the sound from the rest of the building, which presumably houses other studios. Ale's bass and Dany's guitar pedalboards could have been hot-wired into the mixer, or their amps mic'ed in the booth with Pau. (They use InEarz monitors, so they don't necessarily need to hear their amps.)
Yeah, I understand the concept as well of isolating the instruments and even though she was in a box, it was worth it because the sound was just perfect. Such an amazing cover.
