    Since I've started juicing my headaches have gone away, I do not take naps, bloating is gone, hair looks and feels tons better and my energy is through the roof. I mix fruits and vegetables and I also eat one solid meal a day between 6-8:30pm. If that is bad for me, I'll take it!

    You guys are normally on point but sorry to say you was off with this one. Cold pressed juicing is one of the best things you can do to improve your health. I have a serious chronic illness that I was born with. I used to go into hospital up to 25 times a year and be taking up to 30 tablets a day. I started with a 14day juices cleanse and have continued juicing on a regular basis only with other dietary changes... I haven't been on hospital for over 5years and no longer take meds. I've also helped a ton of people improve their lives with juicing.

      Juicing isn't healthy for the majority. Your positive experience could have been due to something juicing provides but for the majority without medical complications, it probably isn't healthy. There's a difference between juicing and making a fruit/vegetable smoothie.

    🙂 Hand on heart. Vegetable juicing is the healthiest and best thing I have ever done in my life. Cleared psoriasis up with it (combined with diet and supplements). Given me an amazing complexion, so I don't need to wear makeup coverage. Given me shiny hair naturally. Given me amazing energy and clarity. Helped my eyesight improve. Come flu season, I hardly ever get sick, but if I do, a few days of extra juicing gets me well in no time. Plus on top of all this, it has helped me get off junk food and into a healthy diet and lifestyle. I gave up coke cola, and replaced it with homemade veggie juices. In fact, just having a kale carrot combo now. People try to say it is dangerous or unhealthy, and I think they are completely *bonkers*.

    I used to be pro-smoothie and anti-juicing, but after I had gastric surgery I can't handle all of the fiber in smoothies. Juice doesn't make me sick to my stomach and digests easily for me. I still think smoothies are great for MOST people, but some of us have different dietary needs

And you feel absolutely great consuming it. Is it medicine ? I will say ya and no it all depends on the the juices you drink and the things you do outside juciing. But for me it worked great 😊

    "The body doesn't NEED juice" is a pretty poor argument as a "con". We also don't NEED essential oils or bone broth for example, never heard anyone on this channel mentioning that though..(something to do with the fact that they sell essential oils and bone broth powder but not juicing machines maybe). We're not all here because we NEED this. Some just want to take this info to help take their health and fitness to the next level. Also, sugar in veggies is hardly a problem. Fruit is a different story I agree. But wouldn't it be nice if consuming carrots and beets were people's biggest problem when it comes to sugar consumption? As for "probably won't help weight loss" doesn't that depend on what exactly you're juicing? Some veggies are known to help promote weight loss(such as celery). Am I not getting the same benefits with juicing(minus the fiber) vs eating the whole veggie/fruit?

    High amounts of fiber in smoothies give me stomach aches. Juicing is the way to go especially if you are very sick (coming out from a chemo or radiatio). Digestion begins in the mouth with saliva and so ideally to maximise the nutrient intake one must start by properly chewing the foods at each meal. The method of juicing can be a helpful adjunctive mode in consuming one's foods for various reasons but should never be seen as a replacement to eating any of them.

    I lost 33 lbs juicing. He should compare juicing to blending to eating the whole fruit or veggie. On an empty stomach drinking veggie juice, minimizing fruit hence sugar, was great but my poor discipline I gained it all back by juicing only every 3 days. He should have compared it to blending as then you consume the whole veggie and just minimize the fruit you blend in. I well know that I would have to chew for hours to consume the amount of raw organic vegetables I blend. He doesn't emphasize organic and he should. I'm also sure I'm absorbing much more nutrients than if I were chewing it. Blending satisfies my hunger much longer than juicing. I only lost 6 lbs in about 12 1/2 days so far. I have cheated some missing regular food, yet 90% of the time blending. I'll come back here too to let you know how it goes. I think that's very important where many never return after a comment. I wish this guy wouldn't shout, I wear headphones not to disturb others in my high rise bldg. He's excited about his topic so that's good.

    I occasionally make homemade juices. I like using the vitamix better then an actual juicer. I blend the stuff up real good and use a nut milk bag, the bags used to make almond milk, and just strain out all of the juice. It's a little more time consuming because there's more steps, but you get more bang for your buck. I don't have to use a lot of produce to get a whole glass of juice. Maybe I missed it but I don't I heard him mention the enzymes in homemade unpasteurized juice. That's really the only reason why I drink the stuff. Store bought juice has been pasteurized. Raw foods have enzymes which is beneficial to the digestion process. Raw milk, raw dairy products, and raw eggs all have enzymes too. Even raw meat and raw fish, and contrary to the trendy belief raw meat is very easily digested. Just don't eat store bought meat raw. Get it from a local farm that feeds their cows nothing but grass. You want fresh and healthy meat when eating it raw. I normally marinate mine in lemon and olive oil which kills off any harmful parasites that might be lurking. The raw foodies frown at marinating and freezing meat(freezing is another way to kill parasites), but it's better safe then sorry. Raw foodies also like eating raw chicken, which is something I don't recommend you try regardless of how it's raised. Just red meats and fish. Raw foods are important for their enzymes and their superior nutritional content. Just don't start buying into the fad that we aren't suppose to eat cooked foods. Most of our diet should be cooked. Cooked foods free up the calories for our bodies to use more efficiently. Anything higher then 50% raw is carrying it a littler too far.

    i think i would mostly use the juicer for veggies such as kale or celery as i would never eat them raw

    I juice and blend daily, and I focus on eating healthy - it's creating a healthy diet for yourself and juice/ blend as well. I mean come on it's the biological science, also you never touched on how important fiber is as well. I mix organic Psyllium I get from my doctor's office with my health shakes or blend it in with my vitamin drinks, and wow it's amazing - I feel better than I have in forever.

    Thu video is deceptive especially in the sugar segment. Fruit sugar (fructose) is different from vegetable sugar (glucose) fructose is not only a simple sugar but it doesn't require insulin production to enter cells. Lol @ too much sugar maybe from veggies and maybe from juicing. I used to juice but got tired of wasting produce (pulp) I make smoothies now.

    This doesn't make any sense to me. If I juice fruit it may be too much sugar. But if it's blended, does the sugar disappear?
    I don't juice fruit. Only kale, spinach, wheat grass powder and lemon. (Ok that fruit only). So I don't see a problem with that.
    Am I missing something?

    • @LoganAddisMusic
      @LoganAddisMusic 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sugar doesn't disappear, the fiber slows down the digestion of sugar which helps with the harmful insulin spikes

      I get you, totally. So if that's the case, there shouldn't be a difference between juicing and blending then, right? Assuming you're juicing and blending the same ingredients.

    I think of juicing as only the best vegetables and fruits thru your own juicer etc,
    not most already bottled juices in the stores I like his idea of blending some cucumber etc to add some fiber , juicing the rest

    Hi! I'm back! I lost 8 1/2 lbs. I received my vacuum blender on 4-23-18 and it is now 5-31-18. It does satisfy my hunger longer blending, however, consider that with blending one can be more creative with ingredients than with juicing. One example is nuts. I add almonds and/or walnuts and also I will sprout organic seeds like mung peas or garbonzo beans (just use a jar with a screen as a lid and soak and change water) and add a cup of that, so in effect I'm raising the calories and maybe satisfying part of my hunger that way when I can't do such when juicing, so take that into account. Before I added nuts or seeds or tofu I found it did still satisfy my hunger longer than juicing. I have to admit I slacked off too much and missed the texture and taste of food and would make a peanut butter sandwich or eat some berries whole, or if I got weak exercising like riding bike I did eat part of an energy bar or take along a peanut butter sandiwich, so I was cheating. I have to try more as my weight loss since last entry here 3 weeks ago was only 2 1/2 lbs less, so in last 3 weeks I lost 2 1/2 lbs more. I hope I helped. I am very glad I now have a blender and wish I would have purchase that instead of a juicer, however, I keep my juicer as I know I will use it sometimes.

    I wouldn't say sugar is a con to juicing just as much of a kind it is for smoothies or any meal, you get out what you put in. Simple more greens less fruit

    I do juicing every day. Fruits and vegetables and I add animal protein powder chia seeds and flaxseeds. I have beans legumes. I have meat 🥩 meals with it. Fish, chicken, turkey, beef, all grass fed. Juicy is very healthy, just add the right ingredients to it less sugar. I’m 49 years old and feeling better than I did years ago. 😀

    Doesn't juicing remove the fiber from the whole sequence? Don't we need the fiber too? I'm confused.

    • @greenkitty82
      @greenkitty82 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      JoAnn S. I think with the juicing thing, when you juice, by extracting the fibre you make the nutrients more readily absorbable so your body doesn't waste energy breaking it down so the nutrients go instantly into the cells. The fibre you take away you would excrete anyway as fibre is indigestible so you've basically done your body's job for it. You also pack more nutrients into a juice that you wouldn't be able to consume by eating the vegetables whole. We need fibre yes but we can get them from other sources and if you include smoothies too in your diet you should get enough fibre. It's a big debate I know but I would do what is right for you.

      You just get a lot more vitamins out of them. Most arent going to sit here and eat ten carrots, but you can easily drink a glass of carrot juice from ten carrots.
