    All of Oberts bands have been good IMO. The black ones are ridiculously resilient to tearing. They lasted WAY longer than the Simple Shot black. The grey are excellent for hunting and pretty resilient too but, not as resilient as the black, and overpowered for anything less than 11mil.

    Sense you’re testing Amazon, have you thought about trying one of the releases? I’d imagine once you get the hang of it, that it’s be a pretty solid choice giving the exact same ball/pouch release each time.

    Would you recommend using 3/8 steel with this set up for hunting?

      With 3/8, there likely won't be enough power for hunting unless you have a longer draw length

    I use to use the red version of that pouch from gm&bw. They are fantastic pouches

      They're much nicer than the pouches on those green sets from my last Video

    What will happen when shooting a slingshot with a little pouch? Will it be accurate?

      as long as the ball fits in the pouch it should be fine.

    I have learned a lot watching your videos but band size and taper and what kind of performance I should expect is clear as mud. I see Chuckin Steel shooting 330 fps with 3/8 and then watch ATO shooting 1/4 inch at 350 with .45 bands and then see you use .6 bands with 8mm at 270fps and think that is fast. Could you do a video on what size bands are appropriate for what ammo and what kind of performance is normal. I think that might be a tall task, I will use your link to get some of those bands. thanks

      I'm accumulating a ton of info right now in order to do a thorough dive on bands. Material, sizing, matching to ammo, draw length, draw weight, etc. Some things to consider upfront: Chuckin Steel uses a long draw and that adds so much power and speed. ATO does band tests where he is maxing or nearly maxing the bands to try to keep everything consistent. I personally do not do much long draw, nor do I max my bands. The important thing to remember what do you personally want to get from the bands. Speed? Hunting? Consistency? Longevity? Cold weather? Price? There's so much to consider...

    If you teach yourself to aim off the band and not the frame you can shoot any width frame with any handset.

    What size of ammo matches .65 flat band?

    • @TheSmoShow1
      @TheSmoShow1  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      9.5mm steel works great, or even 8mm steel if you use a thinner taper

    What is the taper after trimming?
