I actually had to look at my X-S10 to see if it has the filter setting... I have never used it!
I will say this: The X-S10 is a great camera, but the X-S20 is the realization of the true potential of the X-S series. Fuji really pulled out a lot of stops with this one.

X-t10 and iPhone 7 has worked perfectly for years. I believe it is hit or miss depending how the wifi chip in the phone interacts with the wifi chip in the camera. Apple used both intel and Qualcomm in the iphone 7.

Agree 100%. This is frankly an insane camera for a hybrid shooter. If this was around I may have stuck with Fuji instead of switching to the recent Panasonic S5II.
Very similar specs minus a few video & "pro" features (e.g., waveforms, dual slots, weather sealing, etc). And of course, full-frame vs APS-C, which shouldn't be an issue for a lot of people.
Both Panasonic & Fuji are knocking it out lately

Thats why I am probably getting both. XS-20 on order rn with the XF 18-55mm, however Sony gonna release alot of new cameras till the end of year or the next (A7Cii, Maybe A7V, A7Siv,fx3ii etc etc) so il have to wait and see what they have to offer, but currently aiming to get S5ii as an A cam later in the year. XS20 gonna be a daily cam for me, I dont need weather sealing since im not gonna use it in any harsh weather. @@ywmedia

Just got mine today!!! After using the X-H2 for almost a year, it's a breath of fresh air to have something this compact again. I can put it in one of my small camera bags.
The improvements fulfil everything I wanted from the X-S10, especially the buffer and battery. AF is just a huge amount of icing on the cake.
The 8mm lens is a good idea but I think Fujifilm missed out when they didn't package this camera with the 30mm f2.8 macro which I think is a much more useful lens for most folks.
Step up from the X-S10 includes 10 bit instead of 8 bit video.
I hope this camera sells like hotcakes for Fujifilm. I've already talked a friend, moving from Canon DSLRs, into getting one.

I’m still watching the video so it may be touched on, but I’ve gotta say, it may be a great secondary for me. I shoot drift events and this would be a great pair for say the 56mm f/1.2, 50mm f/1.0, or event one of Fuji’s 33/35 lenses.
Leaving my workhorse (still rocking the X-H1) to run something like the Viltrox 75mm or 100-400/150-600 for the action shots and/or video.

I don’t know why I haven’t seen your videos in a while, but you popped back up while scrolling just now. At the end of the video you ask what people want to see more of. Since it’s been a while, I don’t remember if this is something you do, but I’d love to see some pov photography videos. It’s more interesting to see people actually shooting than talking about gear. Don’t get me wrong though, I like some gear videos too. Did watch this til the end after all.

When I read the early leaks, I was like “no way.” The specs are definitely a deliberate choice by Fujifilm to compete with Sony’s ZV vlogging cameras. I didn’t agree with the early takes that said the AF was better than the flagship cameras. Fujifilm aren’t dumb. I was fairly confident that they had been using the newest AI AF that Fujifilm already had in development for the Processor V.
But for what you get for the price, this is a pretty good camera. But for a bit more cheddar, you land on the H2.
    Great review, as always Gajan.

I have the Panasonic Lumix S5 Mark I and am saving money to get the Panasonic Lumix S5 II.
If I was in the position of wanting to level up my phone camera and delve deeper into content creation the Fujifilm X-S20 would be on my short list.
So far the Sony ZV-E10 was one of the best sub 2000$ (together with a lens) options but it is 8 bit and has bad stabilization.
This Fuji is much better (especially with workable Auto Focus) but it costs 2X the price camera only.
But the difference is about 6-700$ depending on where you live.
But if you keep the camera for 5-10 years that puts things in perspective.
In the end of the day I have a longer outlook on the gear I purchase and sometimes you just do not have the money.
Regarding the question of what we want to see:
I would like to see a professional photo shoot with a camera like the Fujifilm X-S20. Not bad but not top of the line.

Did you know this little beast has a hidden dual gain iso feature when using flog2
The second gain iso kicks in at iso 3200 and cleans up the noise nicely making it a capable low-light monster just like the blackmagic 6k pro and xh2s with the ability to produce organic pleasing noise that is easy to clean in post.
This feature allows for the use of fast zooms that top out at f2.8 in low light situations making a compact little event filming beast.
Now if you pick up a metabones speed booster with a zoom f2.8 lens like for example the Tamron 2.8 24-70 with a black mist filter plus a variable ND
This thing becomes a beastly versatile indie filming rig with an Atmos recorder.
Now you have a semi-pro commercial budget rig that can still fit on a gimbal and turned into a handheld rig
Just add a zoom F3 with XLR mics
Now you have a 32bit float that shoots 12bit 4.2.2 raw video rig that still fits in a bag

For 6 years I've been fully invested in the Fujifilm X system, hoping they would eventually reach the AF performance one can see in others. Having had the top of the range cameras and lenses within their offering (my last was the XT5), I was sad to realise that they never really reached Sony's level (or even Canon / Nikon's, these days). I still love the ergos and fuji colours, It's a shame, but now every 9 out of 10 shots I take of my kid (At least) is a keeper.

what would you say to someone who’s trying to decide between xs 10 and 20? do you think it’s worth going that extra 100/200 for the xs20? especially for a beginner in fuji? most used would be home short films, lots of architectural photography, not much in terms of professional use. but i’ve heard that xs10 doesn’t have 4k, which i’m not sure how much of an issue that will be…

Actually I think that this is not an entry level camera, more like the midrange. The entry level Fujifilm camera nowadays in my opinion is the xt30 mark ii, which is 500$ less than the xs20, and doesn't have the latest bells and whistles, and more importantly the xt30 doesn't have ibis. I really think that the major camera manufacturers, such as Fuji, Sony, Canon and Nikon, release new mirroless "entry level" apsc cameras with ibis staring from 1200-1300$, and I think it is a problem for low budget hobbiest like me, who has v e r y shaky hands and doesn't want to carry around a tripod or a monopod. Also, currently it is more and more rare to get a good constant aperture lens w i t h stabilization...

Honestly had they bumped the price by 100 this is a good deal. But a 30% bump against only 11% inflation without upgrading the sensor and EVF makes this underwhelming to me. I'm not interested in Canon these days but only 100 more gets you a R7 now which has a superior sensor and autofocus performance. The X-S10 was unbeatable for it's price at launch, the followup isn't really a bargain, it's a decent camera priced like a decent camera.😊

@@tjkrueger2655 I am not trying to make the case for an R7, although the glass options for RF-S are rapidly expanding and of course EF adapters are well supported. I am saying that while the X-S10 was a no-brainer at it's price the case isn't so clear cut for the S20 compared to the rest of the Fuji lineup and the competition. Especially with Sony supposedly about to launch a bunch of updated bodies and the R7 price coming down.

Here in Australia, this camera is less than $300 less expensive than the XT5. Too expensive considering the XT5 has a better EVF, 40mp, dual memory cards etc. Oh, and as at the firmware update, the XT5’s autofocus has been updated so that is now on par. Too expensive.

This camera I feel like is what I would have wanted but in a xt-40 body. A small portable hybrid camera smh it sucks that Fuji is making this well rounded camera but it completely takes away the Fuji soul. Aside from the color the looks and retro dials are one of the main reasons I switched over.
