  • Today’s video is all about that (peel) base! See below for products I used and check out the section titled Savings for discounts!
    Ways to use peel base:
    With Gels-
    Method 1-Apply builder gel (video link for builder gel- Aimeili Builder Gel Application
    • Aimeili Builder Gel Ap... ) then apply peel base
    Method 2- Apply a layer of gel base, cure, apply a layer of gel top coat, cure and then apply peel base
    With Dip Liquids-
    Apply as many dips of clear as you would like to your nails using dip liquids; activate, buff/file/reshape, activate again, top coat and then apply peel base when top coat is dry
    Natural Nails-
    Apply 1 coat of peel base to your entire nail after prepping (prep video- Updated Prep || Preventing Lifting
    • Updated Prep || Preven... ) If it pops off too soon try the horseshoe shape where you apply it everywhere except the cuticle and side wall areas. If that is still too much, try just a stripe down the middle of your nail or just a dot in the center.

    I'd do gel topcoat for the glitter, it makes it pop more plus tends to be shinier. And you can use both gel and dip on a nail

    • @dippingpixie
      @dippingpixie  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Most tend to use all gel liquids or all dip liquids, so that is why I did it that way. With the products I use, I don’t notice a difference in shininess between gel top coat and dip top coat. Everyone has their own preferences though💓

    Great video. I can't use regular gel. Allergic. Slowly experimenting with 7 free gel. For now, I use the process you suggested but I found starting with 1-2 layers of dip base prevents the lifting of the dip used as base and applied before peel base and regular dips. Adding those 2 coats is a game changer for keeping the base on my nails without lifting.

    I’m a newbie to dip powder and doing my nails myself… I wanted to know why you apply some of the dip powder with gel base and the rest with dip base? What is the difference? Does it last longer with gel base? Is it stronger? Sorry for so many questions, I’m just curious to know the “why” and what difference it may cause. Thank you for sharing.

    I swear by peel base. I do my nails once a week and have found peel base to be far easier and faster for removal. I use gel polish directly on my natural nail and this lasts 7 full days before I take them off. There is minimal chipping but it works great.

    UNT works fine on hard gel - non soak off. wont have anything to do with ur body chemistry because the product is NOT touching ur skin or body it is only touching other product.

    Gorgeous colors! Does peel base stay longer on top of builder gel or a coat of base coat? I really want something that lasts at least a week with easy or easier removal than using acetone. Thanks for all the tips! 🌸🌸💕💕

    • @dippingpixie
      @dippingpixie  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Peel base needs a shiny surface or it won’t pop off, so I don’t know if a base coat will work because it’s still tacky. You could try wiping the tacky layer off and maybe that will work. You could also try putting the peel base on most of the nail. Put it everywhere but right at the cuticle and side walls and that may make it last longer 👍🏻

      What are you putting the peel base on top of? Builder gel, tips, bare nails?

  • @theBoringL
    @theBoringL 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    hi! just came across your video. the info is super helpful I am trying to start using peel base. I have some additional questions. 1-does using peel on my natural nails damage my natural nails? if not, that's my preferred method. 2-I like the idea of clear dips then peel base. what's the benefits of that? so when you pop the peel base off, you still have something on your nails and when you are ready to redo nails , what do I do? just wipe it down, and start with base coat+dip? thank you!!

    • @dippingpixie
      @dippingpixie  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi! Peel base could damage your real nail which is why a lot of people use it on top of something. If you do clear dips on your real nail then it would protect your nail and most people just fill in the clear dip powder instead of removing it. You need a top coat for the peel base because it needs a smooth shiny surface to pop off correctly. Ideally if you could use gel, a gel top coat on the clear would be best. Then when you pop it off you would just wipe the nail with some alcohol and as long as the top coat is still intact, you would apply the peel base and then start your dip process. You just need to make sure the peel base is completely dry before dipping.

    • @theBoringL
      @theBoringL 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@dippingpixie thanks for the info!I considered using it on my bare nails because I don't always do my nails. Think twice a month so I think maybe using peel base will be ok. I have dips so I can do clear dip. With that, eventually doesn't the clear base still have to come off?
      Regarding gel, is it possible to simply use a gel base and then gel coat then cure, just as a protective base before peel base? I really am not feeling getting into builder gel and all that. If it is just a matter of something between the peel base and my nails, I wonder if a simple base and top gel coat would do?

    • @dippingpixie
      @dippingpixie  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have done a gel base and gel top coat which does work, it just wasn’t enough protection for me when I didn’t have dip on. As long as the clear dip isn’t lifting, it can stay on. A lot of people only remove their clear base or builder gel a couple of times a year. The problem would be if it’s lifting and moisture is getting in there. Other than that there’s no harm in keeping it on.

    • @theBoringL
      @theBoringL 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@dippingpixie ok thank you so much for your kind reply! I may try to use them on my natural nails first. Like I said I only do my nails twice a month if that. Ans when I do dips, I get bored after 3 days with the color and take them off. It doesn't seem like enough time or frequency to cause too much damages. But I will also try out the clear dip too since I already have it. I'm sure it's a trial and error too. I'm also worried about using a clear dip then dip powder would be too thick. I thought 2 layers of dips were thick enough but maybe I'm just not used tk them haha

    • @dippingpixie
      @dippingpixie  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I hate when my nails are thick 😂 Just do 2 thin layers of clear and file it, top coat it and see how you feel. It is trial and error

    Peel base is so temperamental...I can be doing the same thing with the same brand for a ton of manis and then all of the sudden one mani won't pop off. 😒 I won't do a mani without it though. I hate to soak off.

    • @dippingpixie
      @dippingpixie  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That’s frustrating! Make sure your peel base is totally dry before doing your mani. That’s the only thing I can think of to cause that issue. Especially since it’s all the same products. 🤔
