Not sure what happened to my previous comment🤔🤷 but.... Peel base coat was meant to peel off polish so when using it underneath our extensions we have to do a few things differently 1. Instead of etching the nail bed use a sponge buffer to smooth it out after cuticle cleaning. 2. No need for primer remember you need to peel off not adhere also depending on your nail (oily) you might have to put the peel base only in the middle of the nail bed this prevents the cuticle and side walls lifting before you want it to I have dryer nail bed so I can apply to all of the nail this usually lasts me 2-3 weeks before it starts lifting another important thing to note is the length of the free edge I keep my free edge so I apply a little extra on my free edge to make it easier to peel. some peel base come away after soaking in warm water some with oil I've been experimenting with debonder and had good success my current peel off base coat is Gaoy 16ml from Amazon $6.99 I also use a cheap peel off clear polish from Shein under my color so I can change the color if I want to at $1.80 its worth it 😊😊. But as with all peel off if I buff the top of my extension (as I should before applying gel polish) my color and design last up to 10 days if I smooth it out it peels after 2 hope my tips are useful to someone else 😁

Thank you so much for sharing this! I know there are probably a bunch of things I did wrong in this video because I was just going off of package instructions! But your right, prepping my natural nail for adherence was not smart... lol I'll definitely look at this for next time!!!

@@CozyGirlFancyNails I've been using peel off base coat for about 8 years now back then it wasn't as popular so there were only maybe three or four at the most companies that made it UNT was always $14 so I tried the one from Bundle monster $5.99😁 I peeled quite a few layers of my nail bed trying to get it to work 😅😅 I finally got it to work after watching a nail TH-camr describe how she got it to work but... it was on top of her hard gel extensions so I tried it under my extension and it finally worked and that has sent me down a rabbit hole called self discovery because I didn't know that learning to do my own nails would teach me so much and allow me to truly understand myself. Lesson #1 I hate the removal process so peel off base coat will forever be an essential item on my nails list 😅🥴

@@queennetta6815hey girl! So if I want my short natural gel nails to last 2 weeks with UNT, should I smooth out my nail before applying? And should I also leave a thin perimeter around my nail bed without peel base so it doesn’t lift early?

Excellent point about capping the free edge of the natural nail. I learned that lesson the hard way and it was frustrating and painful. In fact that was almost six months ago and I still have a few nails that are damaged from all the extra work it took to get the beetles one to let go of my natural free edges. Thankfully we live and we learn, but I think I will always be a bit bitter about that one.

Koko & claire have a great gel peel off base coat. You have to cure it and it lasts for a long time until your ready to peel it off. I use it on my nails and my toes when i use gel polish and dont want to file or soak off the color.

That’s smart to use it on toes!! 👀 I’ll definitely have to try it out!!

I really like Makartt peel off base too. One layer for lasting easy off and two coats for instant off that survives filing.

Try soaking your hands in really warm water before you pop them off next time. I usually take mine off in the bath unless I use UNT. I found a de-bonder type of oil on Amazon. It's called 'ohora pro easy peel remover' (but the rest of the label is in Korean so I just sort of played around with it and I LOVE it! If I used Makartt and am just NOT feeling that set of nails, I soak in a bath and then wiggle under them with an orange stick until they lift just slightly and use the dropper to apply the ohora oil under the full cover tip. Wait a few more minutes and they should come right off. Unless you used beetles; in which case time to get out the e-file because that stuff either hates my nails or is nail glue masquerading as peel off base. I was so mad I didn't even bother returning it, I just threw it in the trash where it couldn't hurt anyone else and left a lousy review.

I actually just discovered that Dashing Diva has a product to help remove their gel strips and it works WONDERS when taking off nail with peel of base coats!

Murron UV peel off base stays until I want to remove it. You have to put your hands in really hot water to melt the glue. I'm waiting for a debonder I ordered on temu to make removal easier.

I just used beetles on Friday to test it out. I hope I don’t have to soak off. Cause no! lol I did it on my toes too just to see. I use press off for my nails usually. It’s amazing. I’ll prob try that before soaking but I’m ready for these nails to come off. I used a shape I didn’t care about and woo they’re ugly! I just popped one of my thumb nails off. I’ll report back lol

Ok!! I found a hack! If you use something like Dashing Diva’s magic off it helps pop them RIGHT off!! 😭 I had my nails on for 4 days and wanted them off so I used some of that and they popped off!

Unt works well but you looked like you had way too much on brush and nail if you want to last longer apply really thin for the win.
