- There's a lot of very fair criticism around Suicide Squad Kill The Justice League, but I do think that there are a lot of people weaponizing the passing of Kevin Conroy and using it in a very disrespectful way. As someone who really admires his work, his life and his attitudes, it has left me very frustrated. I understand people feeling this game disrespects Batman. I understand people not liking the story. I understand people just hating the game. That said, I do think that the way people are using this specific situation is a little too far and is disrespectful to his memory and his life. #batmanarkham #suicidesquad #gaming

The game is still a churned looter shooter that consists with repetitive play templates and pressured microtransactions with each forthcoming season. People don't want clicks, just a good/decent overall game.

Thats just the monetary template. The story was tossed to a 3rd service "sensitivity writing" company for "assessment" . Really? why hire a 3rd party "sensitivity writing" studio for "assessment" when all of Rocksteady's previous writing has ushered profit? Sry my dude, its pretty easy to see who dafuq got in the way of actual work being done.

It's little things like that where I genuinely cannot believe the game was ever intended to be canon at any point during the actual writing process. Given that you could completely toss out the Arkhamverse connection with minimal rewrites and what few references do exist are often contradictory, I fully believe it was a last minute marketing gimmick.

People forget that Kevin was an Actor and He did a few Bad Batman projects in His career before SSKTJ.
Mystery of Batwoman, Killing joke, Batman & Harley and Batwoman live action. No actor knows if a
role is going to be a Hit or Not. All they can do is there best performance. People were mostly upset, because this was his last Game performance, though most have calmed down knowing He'll appear in Crisis on infinite Earths Part 3.

I think the issue is that people want to see a GOOD send off to our favorite actors. not just peeing on our heroes and shooting them in the head and the game feels like an insult to those heroes, the actors, the fans of the games and universe. now I wanted to get this game. me and my friend were looking forward to playing it, I have no problem playing villains but this game has the worst possible way of doing just about everything that I'm glad I saved my money.

Jay said the same thing like 12 times now - terrible send off for these characters including Batman, but to act like that correlates with Kevin's passing is just using a tragedy for benefit of narrative instead of people being smart enough to just analyze the merits of the story being bad on its own.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if Mr. Conroy already recorded the dialogue for the upcoming seasons, given how far in the future some of the leaked audio takes place it. We already have dialogue from Flash coming back, and dialogue from Lois addressing both Flash and Lantern coming back. Assuming we're bringing back one JL member per season, that's at least two seasons of dialogue already recorded.
Yeah I actually saw some kind of leaked audio from season 4 I believe as well that was datamined. I don't really show any of that on this channel because I don't want my videos to get hit with claims. But you're right that a lot of the times these projects are done far in advance. For example, his lines in crisis part 3 are supposedly done, and have obviously been done since before he passed. That said, the movie still isn't out.

And I feel like that's 100% fair. In a lot of ways I feel the same way. That said, I Believe the people who are making it seem like they dragged Kevin Conroy from his home though and forced him to record this and that they purposely dissed him as a human being are taking things to a level I don't agree with.

And you're entitled to that. But Kevin knew what he was getting into when he agreed to voice the character for SSKtJL. He could've said no, and they probably would've gotten Roger Craig Smith again to reprise the role from Origins. But he didn't. Nobody put a gun to his head to force him to play the role, he did it of his own volition and was obviously having a blast playing this cartoonishly evil version of Batman.
Using Kevin as a weapon to attack the game, its devs and the people that enjoy the game makes the person who does so a scumbag. It makes them worse than the people they hate.

When you finished the story and get his tribute cutscene you get a fucking loot box cutscene. It’s completely tone deaf
Tone deaf 100% on a couple decisions and I think that they should actually change that with a patch. I don't like the timing of that either. I don't think it was intentional though. Like I don't think somebody sat down and they said " Let's do a tribute, JK now let's spit in his face with throwing a lootbox reward." I just think it was a genuinely stupid placement that should be rectified.
I actually don't understand why the tribute is even there at the end of the game, instead of just being something you can activate on the wall at any time in the hall of justice. And I think they should have had the same for Arleene Sorkin tbh.

This. As a fan of Monty's from before he was hired by Rooster Teeth and someone who actively loves RWBY, I hate how often I see people going on about how "his vision was ruined, this isn't what Monty would want" like they actually knew the man better than the people he worked with and were friends with. Same thing here with Kevin Conroy.

He wasn't a writer, had no idea how to write a script for an animated TV show, which is why he had other people write for the show.

Kevin Conroy has played an evil Batman in the 'Crisis On Infinite Earth' crossover TV show where he gets killed by Batwoman. So this isn't really anything new that he would signed off on that and this.
My issues are that they have been trying to destroy Batman and Superman for years now. My other issue is that WB and Rocksteady would hire a garbage company like Sweet Baby Inc. to write their games.

Me and many others have been upset ever since Tom King turned him into a mommy's boy in the comics and had him follow catwoman around, letting her fight his battles for him. We stayed quiet when all these woke infestations happened, and it's everywhere. Now, it's much more difficult to get rid of them. The only thing we can really do is vote with our wallets, take everything back, and gatekeep from them.

Her jumping in front of Peter to protect him when he is the one with that is the hero and had super human reflexes. That 15 minute boss battle speech about him being a hero isn't as important as her writing a book. And him apologizing every sentence. And her stealth scenes literally made me do the office " NOOOOOOOO!!!!" MEME. Miles wasted his precious story time and hero time to help a gay dude ask out another gay dude. People ignored those problems cuz even if Peter retires we all know he'll come back. At least they didn't kill him like Batman and Luke Skywalker...

I truly think this video explains what most Kevin fans feel like. I 100% agree with you and your views on Kevin and the character of Batman. I have tried to explain the same view to people and they just try and make it seem Kevin had no idea what he signed up for. If Kevin trusted the story of the game and the future of the story. Then I should too. Never got to meet Kevin but, I have seen countless interviews of him or about him. He was a hero on and off screen.
As a lifelong fan of Kevin, this is unfair. To say those invoking Kevin's name are wrong or bad people is just plain unfair. We are sick of being lectured, we are sick of being expected to just lap up the slop, we are sick of all of it. We all grew up loving Kevin and this is the last thing he ever got to work on. And the way things have gone and continue to go, something tells me Kevin did not know the extent of what would happen to his character or how fans would react. I doubt Kevin only ever took a job if he loved the story too, so. Just a bizarre take. But okay

Batman’s story was told so I had come to terms with his death, but seeing the league just get killed without any games establishing them as characters, that upset me.
I feel like it wouldn’t be that bad if the game’s plot about killing the Justice League was the third entry in the Suicide Squad along with a Justice League game.

I hate the game and mentioned how it hated on batman but never ever used Kevin's name he is a great man and THE BATMAN in the purest form let him rest love his work appreciate who he is and what he did but dont shame others for liking a game and using that man's name in vain it makes you look like a truly negative individual.

I think regardless of whether the Justice League we killed becomes clones, or they reveal that we've not been playing in the Arkhamverse at all in a future update (because they were definitely supposed to be the actual Arkhamverse Justice League in the base game), it's not gonna change anything. Sure, they can bring back the Batman and the Justice League, but Tim Drake is still dead, and they already irreversibly fucked the universe and shat all over the ending of Arkham Knight.
Regardless of whether they knew about Kevin Conroy's cancer ahead of time or not, there had to have been time for rewrites to this awful script. They definitely could've just cut some dialogue and had Batman escape into the shadows, and they could've removed Tim Drake's mask from the Batcave. They definitely should've known about the backlash and made some preemptive changes. I mean, the game was delayed how many times? Rewrites were possible. So yes, I do feel this is disrespectful to the Arkhamverse, and to Kevin's version of the Batman. And I say that not even being a big Batman guy.
Either way, I just hope Kevin Conroy gets to rest in peace.

I bought this game to honor Kevin Conroy and, Arleen Sorkin. I tried to give the game a chance. It suffers just like the Halo Tv show. They dont respect the story or lore. There was no reason for them to go up to the Skull ship. For Green Lantern. The ring would stopped working for him. It would of sent a distress signal and send back up to Earth. Theres no way the ring would of worked for King Shark. What makes things even worse is the Batman death scene. The writers try to do a woke agenda saying oh you hate gay people since we dont like the death scene. No we hate the bad horrible writing and how disrespectful it is to all the fans. They seriously could of done better. People are mad since they choose not to. They got lazy. They 💩hard on everything. They couldn't honor Kevin the right way too. I spent 100 bucks on the game. It wasnt worth it. I have very little time to play games. When I do. I must use my time wisely. I played it for 2 hours. Im very disappointed. I honestly played it that long due to Kevin. Hearing Kevins voice was kind of sad. Knowing hes not around anymore. When I heard the news of his passing I was devastated. I believe my vity was as well. I noticed for a full week. The hotels in the area would shine giant spot lights up into the sky. There is a fair in my area as well. They were doing the same thing. It was amazing experience seeing the area honor Kevin's passing. It was a nice tribute. It definitely wasnt cheap keeping rhose spot lights on.

Given what I've already seen, I have absolutely no intention of playing that live service piece of software ever, so could someone please tell me if the Kevin Conroy tribute was respectful or disrespectful ? Is it true that the tribute basically comes down to something that could be translated as 'In memory of Kevin Conroy. Now go buy all our upcoming DLC, seasons passes, cosmetics, etc ... Yeah, in memory of Kevin, now go buy our stuff' ????? Is it true ??? I'm very cynical of that game - and for very good reasons - but I am still, somehow, willing to give them the benefit of the doubt. Was the tribute really respectful or not ?

What amazes me, is that this story went through so many proper channels. Not one executive thought you know what let’s change some things around. WB/Rocksteady cashed all there chips on this, and said we have a hit. The development stage was a mess, like when the game got pushed back. Not to mention waiting 9 years for this. So again at some point, none of them thought or had the back bone to speak up about how terrible of an idea this is to Kill the Justice League? Maybe even change around the arcs. Like put Batman in Wonder Woman’s place, it would’ve been more believable if he helped Suicide Squad neutralize the Justice League. Or a more compelling reason to cross that line for Batman’s narrative. All in all it wasn’t a great decision to make this game. I’ve been saying Rocksteady should’ve made it; World’s Finest Saves The Justice League. Same premise, but the primary focus would be on Batman and Superman getting the Justice League back. After each boss fight, the character is playable. Letting us choose who to end the story with. That way Justice League could’ve had a proper introduction in the Arkham verse. Just something of that nature.
Knowing how the internet is, it's not going to go away anytime soon. It'll more than likely slowly sweep into the inevitable trend of hate & debate, until the internet finds a new "Gotham Knights" or "Suicide Squad" to hate on.
As much as I find it entertaining seeing people run to delusion and try to ACT like it doesn't exist, the hate and controversy is going too far and it's getting pretty old. Can't wait for developer studios to start defending themselves, and attacking the hate mob. Things will get worse for gaming...
The suicide squad did one good thing, they reminded me how good the Arkham games are so I bought them and started playing them again.
I appreciate that after the boom headshot, Harley actually declares that Batman won after all -- specifically because that wasn't the real Batman, and he would have wanted this to happen. She's actually pretty upset and is sort of rationalizing things around in her head about it. One of the other squad acknowledges that it was thanks to Batman's planning that they were able to stop Flash and GL.
Ive recieved nothing but criticism over this crap game just over the fact that I mention its one of Conroy's last works. I only mention it as in a disappointment to my opinion. Every single time i recieve the youre a -ist , -phobe because Conroy was gay irl. I dont care if he was gay. Why does that matter? Conroy wasnt defined by his sexuality, he WAS DEFINED BY his accomplishments. Im disappointed because this was a "PROCLAIMED" part of the "ARKHAM" universe and the writers crapped the bed when it came to pushing out its legacy mc and plot. I understand outrage over the Conroy portrayal since it was his fleeting moments. But weaponized his circumstance on either side of this argument is stupid and ironically disrespectful. This game and story is just crap due to its management and writing alone. Simple as. Enjoy Conroy in the other two last medias. Its really unfortunate. Im there with you.

my main issue is that i really like the premise, i think a suicide squad game is a good idea, the writing of the playable characters are amazing along with traversal, and i think this game falls apart because of a mandated Live service being stitched onto the game where the game really ends at the mid point thus ruining a full story because of the live service needing to continue it. along with that I think killing the justice league is fun its a good twist on super hero games, however again it gets muted when we know that most likely in one of the last seasons of this game if it even gets to that will have the clone twist or something that fully ruins the story. and personally with the disrespect with all of the justice league is good, it commits to the premise of being a bunch of bad guys, boomerang would never respect the flash but that's why batman's i think is good, Harley and Batman have been interwound together because of the joker and obvy she'd have more to say about batman and respected batman in the way she could.

I think ALL has been said about this trash game, every single controversy from developers choices to canceling bad reviews on steam, it s time to move on and let this game slowly die by himself (since the active players can be count on a hand)
Nobody forced Kevin Conroy to play this role. He could have easily rejected the role based on the script's quality. He chose to take the money and record the lines. People are having some difficulty accepting that they cared more about Batman's character than Kevin did. I imagine most actors reach a certain point in their career that they just stop caring about the quality of the overall product. Passion fades over time. It's just a job for them by the end. I'm curious how all this controversy would have gone if Kevin was still alive. Do you think people would be bashing him online the same way they have the other VAs?

I never thought it was disrespectful to Kevin himself, he read the script knew where they were going and agreed to it. They just disrespected Arkham Batman, we followed him for 3 (technically 4) games and he definitely should have been switched story wise with Wonder Woman. He should have been the only one who wasn't corrupted or broke the corruption and went down fighting. Not sarcastically belittling the squad. Idk that's just me. I love Kevin and his work as Batman, he delivers all his lines flawlessly. You can tell he liked the role too, he revels in his role as an evil Batman
Haven’t played the game, probably won’t for a while but I agree with what you said. It’s easy to forget that there are people who work on these projects and they by and large don’t have anything against people who just don’t like their work. Plus, Kevin Conroy did willingly sign on to this project presumably knowing how the story was going to go and the writers couldn’t have seen it coming that he was going to die. It’s fair to have your opinion, but you don’t have to defend it by erasing the agency of a man a lot of people looked up to who recently died and evoking his memory to shame people who did nothing to you who just did their job or disagree with you about a video game.
Even if that Batman was a clone, even if the real Arkham Batman comes back and is treated with respect as a character that would never lose to the likes of the Suicide Squad, it still wouldn’t matter. Not only would it be too little too late, but also there’s still the matter of how the other story elements are completely incompatible with the end of Arkham Knight. Not to mention, if Arkham Batman does come back, he would be coming back into a world where presumably the entire Bat-family is dead, who the writers killed just so Harley could have a cheap joke about Batman “taking out the middle man.” This game should’ve taken place in its own universe separate from the Arkham games. It would’ve saved the devs from this mess/headache/PR disaster, and it would’ve saved the fans from a lot of disappointment and heartbreak.
i persolly think they shoud have done a batman who laughs aproch, thay way harly quin killing him would not only "feel feninsetly empowering" but it actualy make sence of the diloge befor him bitting the dust, i alwas wanted to see who he would play that version of JOKER BATMAN.
What I’m more angry about is this mindset that these writers have (Sweet Baby writers especially) that fans/players wants and needs come second to the “creators’ progress” and whatever the writers want to do. They assumed that fans wanted “something new” by replacing all of these beloved characters with this next phase of characters. Kevin’s passing has nothing to do with it to me, that pain that we all feel of his passing really has nothing to do with it. The disrespect is of the established character(s), not the people behind the character. You could just as easily have the same problem with Harley’s character being butchered compared to how they wrote Harley back when Arleen was voicing her when she was still alive. Harley’s seen better days too, imo. This past week I went back to Arkham Asylum and have been playing all three of those Arkham games. Harley used to be VASTLY different. She started as just a gullible sidekick to the joker but she was actually funny, she had sex appeal, and she flourished as this chaotic villain who wasn’t very bright but still lovable as a villain character. Now these writers are trying to change that to make her a badass hero for the girls I guess? I’m all for having characters with badass girl boss energy but… Rocksteady already had an established Harley and an established Batman which they threw BOTH away in order to make room for this slap-in-the-face of a game marketed to Arkham fans. 🤷🏻♂️ Now with Kevin, no he wasn’t held at gunpoint but I doubt he wouldn’t have seen this coming from fans, assuming the original script he read was close to the same as the final product. He was very in tune with his Batman fans and the Arkham fans. He was all about fan service when it came to this character. I don’t buy it that he would’ve read that executing Batman scene AS IS after working on the previous Arkham games and just gave it his stamp of approval without at least asking questions or warning them of fan backlash.

I think one think people seem to misunderstand or forget is that you're playing the villains. The suicide squad are villains. They're doing a good thing for self-preservation not because it's the right thing to do. So what everybody gets upset that they killed the heroes and they did it the way they did the game literally is called suicide squad kills the Justice League. They are the bad guys

in addition to what they did to Batman, even if it ends up a clone or something, what bothers me is that Harley is a character you basically one punch in every game and she's the one to kill Batman? another less talked about issue is Deadshot, they decided to make him black and theres been many black versions of the character so if he were meant to be one of those there'd be no issue, but he's supposed to be the Arkham Deadshot who is established as white, and rocksteady's explanation for this sudden and unnecessary change is "oh well the other one is an imposter". overall it feels like rocksteady put very little effort into this game from a story and character stand point.

this was a very good video i actually got emotional because I was going through a lot when i was given Arkham origins,Asylum,and City and i was blown away by the characters the stories the relatability kevin was amazing and he was amazing because he was batman a flawed man who inspired others with his bravery and Heart i wish people were better at handling delicate situations and their Emotions better.

I see this game’s story like I see the Disney Star Wars films. I don’t accept it as my personal canon but I can appreciate the work for different reasons.

I do agree with you. People are definitely using it as a weapon. But Kevin did choose this. Even if for a paycheck. Thing is Death sucks. We don’t know this answer or this void. So unfortunately we got left with a sour taste in our mouth rather then a good sunset. It sucks but I’ll regardless if the man did bad jobs or good jobs for a check. I’ll always love him.

I understand where people are coming from and don’t get me wrong. It’s understandable to be upset that this is the last time we ever hear Kevin play the role of Batman (unless that leak about crisis on infinite earth is correct) but remember he isn’t Batman, he’s a man. He’s not some arguing point to validate harass writers, animators and developers who are just trying to do their job. he was a man with relationships and people in his life.

My opinion. I'm like a lot of people.
Batman, especially the Arkham Batman, feels like it's part of me. When I first saw it, I was very upset. But that never once made me think the game looked terrible or looked like it would stink or whatever. I see the game and how they made Metropolis look. The whole aesthetic, the whole atmosphere looks incredible. The gameplay looks like it would be a very fun game. I haven't played it, and I don't intend to. Reasons I will give shortly. They're nothing bad. It's about personal preference.
When I see a character as awesome as Batman, I do still have an understanding that nothing lasts forever. So, I realize that if they made future Arkham projects with this exact character, he would eventually retire or die or maybe both. In my opinion, I want them to still head in the direction of old man Bruce Wayne retiring, and we eventually get Batman Beyond. That would be absolutely amazing. Bruce Wayne will always be my favorite Batman, but Terry is another great Batman, too.
If they did kill clones in the game, that's awesome. That means we can hopefully bring them back and maybe get a Justice League game, or they just continue with the roots of Batman, how it's been from the beginning.
If they didn't take out clones and that was actually them, well, I just hope the best for them, The direction simply isn't for me, but I hope they succeed.
The reason I won't play the game has nothing to do with the deaths of some of my favorite heroes. It's, I personally don't care for playing as villains. Games where I can play as villains are cool, only I playing as the hero is also an option. This is a Suicide Squad game, so that's obviously not an option. I grew up being bullied. Super heroes are what inspired me to be a better person, a better man. They showed me an example one right and wrong and inspired me to want to be the same way, in my own way, of course. So, a game souly based on the villains I couldn't wait to lock up in Arkham Asylum,Arkham City,Arkham Origins,Arkham Knight,Injustice Gods Amoung Us,Injustice 2,ect. It doesn't catch my eye. It doesn't make me wanna play it. That's just me, though.
Never say never. I say I don't want to play the game. But, what if it goes on sale? What if they add more to the game and eventually finish the game. Tell the full story they wanted to tell, and maybe heads start to turn, and it shows a much brighter perspective on things. Maybe the heroes somehow do come back. I might try it. But that's just me. I don't think they disrespected Kevin Conroy. I, as of right now, don't think they handled the deaths correctly in the game. After watching the game on TH-cam, it didn't sit right with me. It just didn't. But, you gotta try to say positive and optimistic. Rocksteady might really surprise us. I mean, look at their track record. To me, they've done nothing but give us great stories and hours and hours of entertainment. They're good at what they do, and I encourage them to keep doing what they're doing. I'm sorry that the fan probably, including me at one point, was so rude about that. I can't apologize for everyone, but if Rocksteady sees this, I'm not sure if I said anything out of the way that would offend them. I do my best to stay as respectful as possible to everyone. But if I did, I'm truly sorry.

Imagine how sweet it would've been if instead of a SS game we got a game about Jason leading a team to stop the justice league and save them, while taking on the mantle of the arkham knight once more. Him risking his life to save the entire league from themselves because bruce did that for him during the events of knights, maybe he brings bruce back into the light and then bruce offers his life to save jason one last time wouldve been a beautiful send off for this version of batman.
He died as he lived; playing Batman the way he wanted.
my biggest problem with this game isn't necessarily Harley shooting Batman in the head and as soon as that leaked I was like there's no way there going to end the arkham batman like that and this has to be an alternate universe where the events of the arkham games happened but not the actual arkham universe or clones or something that it's not actually them but if it is the justice league it's the same thing as prequel and original star wars trilogy fans that hate the sequels and now the prequels/original trilogy and everything in between are pointless or sullied because we know that it's leading up to something that you hate! with this game the only way to save it is dlc or something finding out it was clones or a scarecrow drug trip or simulation of some kind! but my biggest problem is it's an online only game and I hate those, I loved dc universe online until I pretty much maxed out leveling up with what I could do in the game and starred getting my ass kicked constantly by other players lower levels than me that paid to win and I just refuse to do that plus I don't like games that take forever to deal enough damage to beat the opponent and on top of all that in sick of Harley Quinn and the suicide squad is overrated!
Great video Jay and even though I haven’t played this game myself I just been watching you and Nate play it on the let’s play channel but it’s is sad that certain people are disrespecting Kevin name like this because this is his last role as this version of Batman and I agree with a lot of what you said about this game story and I understand why people are mad but I still believe Kevin see something in this game to have him take this role and maybe we still haven’t see what he see in this game yet but we have to see with the future seasons
I haven't played the game, but I have watched the scene as well as other reviews and here my thoughts: While I do think how they handled Batman's death was disrespectful, I also think that people need to stop using Kevin's name as a way to criticize the game because THAT is disrespectful.

I'm mostly done with this, already moved on with the hype train to Helldivers 2 and Stellar Blade. Without knowing the dlc,to have Batman get such an epic and ambiguous ending in Arkham knight.they bring him back and gets easily brainwashed (after all that was done to him in the Arkham games) and die by having Harleyquinn execute him by shooting him in the head easily. Seems really really lame

Imo if they REALLY wanted to make a game where you kill the justice league they should have made a game where the league is formed to protect the world from some sort of global threat and after all their effort they fail and end up mind controlled by say Brainiac or something and the game ends on a cliff hanger. THEN go and make Suicide Squad Kill The Justice League and probably should have made it separate from the Arkhamverse or at the very least DO THEIR RESEARCH bc that obviously didn't happen here (both games done preferably without Sweet Baby cringe lol) (and honestly I would have LOVED to seen one from WB Montreal bc of the suicide squad references in Blackgate and Origins but that's probably never going to happen) Imo I would LOVE to fight a well scripted and well programed Justice League, under the right circumstances, that sounds like a lot of fun. But ultimately what we got was just lazy and my personal problem with this game is that it completely disrespected all the Arkham games and comics that came before it in the Arkhamverse whether it's resurrected Batman, resurrected Poison Ivy, resurrected Boomerang and King Shark (they died in an Arkham Knight prequel comic), how GL's ring is miss used or whether it's race-swapped Deadshot which is literally NEVER explained (which they actually do bring to question in-game by Boomerang and then counterfeit Deadshot shuts him down immediately, and no Twitter doesn't count that's just cringe)... the list goes on and on
Never really understood trying to weaponise Conroy's mere existence, from either end. Obviously, killing off a character he played while he was still alive isn't particularly disrespectful (not to him at least), so I always thought it was a bit of a stupid argument. The devs are complete eejits who deserve most of the criticism they get, but the Cinroy argument is just weak and gives them an opportunity to try to weasel out of more legitimate backlash. On the other side of the coin, saying that he signed up to it in defence of the game itself is equally stupid. Conroy was not some infallible God-being, every actor is capable of working on bad projects and his work on it was by no means a glowing endorsement. This was something I particularly saw in the lead up to release and it always came off as cope to me.

It wasn't the first time Kevin Conroy voiced Batman in a bad story. Unfortunately, it was the last. None of us knew, probably not even him. It's what sucks about his passing. It won't taint his legacy, though.

I think it’s embarrassing if you’re bringing up Kevin as some kinda gotcha in your online suicide squad criticism but also it shows a lack of care on Rocksteadys part to not change some stuff around after his passing. Maybe not give him such a disrespectful, throw away send off and then a line of text. I think that was very foolish. It’s as foolish as Lucasfilm not re editing 15 seconds of footage in the Last Jedi so Luke doesn’t die at the end after Carrie Fishers real life death. I completely agree, Jay. The anger towards Batman in Suicide squad, mostly feel misguided. Sure some of it is bad, but people using Kevin as fuel to the fire feels off. Some people are probably doing it for rage-baiting and to be honest fuck them but I think most people are either using Kevin to mask their criticisms or are just sad at his death and don't really know how to handle it.
Its like I've said many times, people are gonna have a different experience with the same game. You are free to like or dislike a certain video game as long as you provide valid points and not have horrible takes or shame someone for enjoying something you don't. If it bother's a person that much to a point where it makes them upset, maybe they should go outside and ask themselves, "Is someone having a differing opinion than me gonna affect my life?" Honestly people need to remember Kevin Conroy signed on to this so he was on board with the vision this game had in mind, just like how Kevin was on board with Batman in BvS. So if you respect Kevin you wouldn't say the writers disrespected him because at the end of the day he lent his talent to this game because he wanted to.

they focused on the humor of the suicide squad too much, nothing about the way the heros think/act isn't quite fitting but the way the squad acts works perfectly as a middle ground of the humor of the two movies, batmans body along with probably everyone else was grabbed by brainiac and brought back to the ship off screen; (can been seen if you noclip in the scene while they talk to superman)their bodies dont just dissappear, and boomerang is drawing ideas on what to do once he takes down the flash, and one of them is him pissing on him. the plot armor is insane but that was also thw case with both movies of you think about it, they're meant to be kind of a joke team that pulls off masaive stunts, kinda like a squirl girl, so it doesn't land when we've know this batman for like over a decade and know the possibilities of the leauge without brainiac's buffs, but its not batmans game, and not the leauge's game, its a suicide squad game, and the main character needs to pull through
