Did the Osprey mother just go back to sleep while it's baby was being killed? I don't know much about birds, so I'm not sure if that was the mother or what, just curious.
I wonder if it's been confirmed that the chick was killed or maybe the Goshawk abandoned the attack after going over the edge and the parent coming after it? This has been a really really bad season for Ospreys globally. Goshawks are relentless killing machines afraid of nothing.
I think the parents were brave protecting the young. One of them even did a lethal blow to the predator, but unfortunately the predator had its talons firmly in the baby and had to wait for gravity to do its thing. I wonder what happened after both predator and baby fell from the nest and parent went after it. Both parents flew so fast it was hard to see even at the slowest speed. 😢

Osprey parents are one of the worst parents among the birds. Parents are not ready to take any risks for their children

The parent didn’t notice anything wrong with it’s baby until it fell out... sad
Ospreys don’t seem to be very good at protecting their young. This is the second video I have seen of a goshawk having free reign at an osprey nest.
A trick : you can watch movies on flixzone. Been using them for watching lots of of movies these days.
