Cord to Cordless Hedge Trimmer Conversion | RYOBI HT 4200

- This is a 100V hedge trimmer from Japan, made by Ryobi. It is hard to work with electric source. I modified its motor from AC to DC by rewinding the armature and replace the field by permanent magnet. It powered by 18V Makita lithium battery. I use this tool to trim the garden at the end of this video.
I hope you find this video useful and enjoy it!
Furthermore, I am happy to receive feedback, suggestions to improve myself.
!!! I'm sorry for the mistake if I did in this video !!!
Thank you very much for your likes, comments, and subscription!
Have a nice day

That conversion looks like it came out of the factory that way very cool 😀👍
Doesn't speak but is still a better instructor that college professors.
13:39 set the rulers at a 45 degree angle to present a blade like edge to the shaft. Also, if you wanna make fine adjustments, but not upset the whole affair (waste less time in setup) you can put screws from under in the wood, as you adjust them, you just thread them in more, thus raising the blades. Source: it's in one of the Popular Mechanics magazines from back in the day.
Okay, thank you so much for sharing the great tip.
It's a pleasure to watch you work. Brilliant result. Tont

What country are you uploading videos from?
The garden clippers and power screwdrivers being repaired are Japanese specifications.
To be honest, this garden clipper is not worth repairing in Japan.
It would be nice if it were new, but it's quite an old model, and in Japan it's the kind of thing that would be thrown away at a scrap metal yard because it would be cheaper to buy it, but it has been carefully repaired.
If you are uploading from outside Japan,
I can really feel the respect they have for Japanese products.
Thank you.
from Japan
mashallah my brother.
If everybody would do this, we may could save the world♥💪

Gear show: let’s put a damn 18v battery and see how it sucks !
Hey quick question, is there a undervoltage protection in the battery? The battery could drain too low otherwise and get dead no?
Imagine coming up with the engineering for this
amazing bro, keep uploading videos
I will try my best, thank you!
Wow 90W for that winding is really not bad.
Q: Do you have to tamper with the motor in order for it to work with a battery, I have added a battery to my corded Strimmer to make it cordless, however, it doesn't give the same power?
I hope to be like you someday
Were do you put all the things you fix
Ellerine sağlık. Harika
one question what circuit board for the batteries you make or where can i get similar circuit boards ??????
رائع👍
How do you figure out how to rewind the motor for a different voltage
The same question in my mind
He said in other videos, in comments, that he uses reference from DC motors with the same size, so he can count the turns and measure the wire gauge. But I bet there was some trial and error in the past.
Witchcraft and human sacrifices.
@@Ucofatoffski that's another possibility! 😂😂
Search and learn
Would love just one of them to be done with an of the shelf motor instead of re wiring one. Lol
Excellent video, thanks for shring. Where do you get your batteries and adapter from?
Thank you! I bought this adapter from China.
Convert to dc you can be use dc motor and shaft connector for this product renew al because this convert ion take more time and difficult to do this process
I like your restoration for the tools but why you didn't sharpen the blade?
I think the blade is already sharp

So there's more than one repairman on the channel? Before that, he had a mustache and glasses.
Так на канале не один ремонтник? До этого же был усатый и в очках.

usually people throw out their power tools when the battery gives out due to user neglect. that and replacement battery cost too much.
