Unironically the healthiest and most functional relationship in the entire series. They're terrific for one another and wind up being together until adulthood in their 40's. It's a remarkably conscious and respectful example of coming to terms with one's own sexuality when surrounded by a world that simply doesn't understand it the way you do. It's hilariously beautiful.
People thought it was a joke if tweek and craig was a couple or not but it was confirmed in the video game Stick of Truth they are a real couple. Stick of Truth is canon too.
Not only that, but in the episode 'Put It Down' from season 21 they still act like a couple in private too, calling each other pet names and all. So clearly they're not just doing it 'for the sake of the town' as some people are trying to say.
Tweek being so worried he couldn’t be convincing and then giving that break up performance is one of my top ten favorite SP moments. Especially that smile he has walking away.
So this episode was actually a continuation of Safe Space, if you were confused at parts it's because South Park was more serialized this season, so there's some context missing.

I just realised that the only other previous episode about Craig and Tweek was all about all boys at school turning them into rivals and making them fight each other, even though they didn't want to, and one of them had never even been in a fight before...
IMHO, one of the best episodes of South Park. What I love most is that in the SP specials that went forty years into the future, you see Tweek and Craig as adults and it appears they are still together. They don't specifically show them holding hands but make it appear as if they are.

As a gay person, craigs dad being happy when he hears they broke up, to change when he sees his son and how unhappy he seems taking that smile right off his face is really powerful. Yes south park is for laughs, but they are really good at going into much deeper things. Like butters in the raisins episode when he talks about beautyful sadness, is a really deep and beautiful moment.

Season 19 south park changed there writing style and continue this through all future seasons. They have full on continuity from most of episodes that usually build up to a season finale being some what related to all the events. They no longer reset the town or its issues after episode ends. So if skip episode some jokes and plot lines won't be explain because they are in previous episode . Cartman's imaginary cupid version of himself is from a previous episode that is also about dating.

In one of the games, Fractured But Whole, There's a move with Tweek and Craig where it has a whole anime type move (I can't describe it cause I'm dumb-dumb baby brain) but its absolutely hilarious, you can watch people react to the scene.
Butters nearly committing suicide due to being exposed to too much negativity and sleep deprivation because PC Principle forced him to filter Cartman's social media account for negativity after Cartman got upset by harsh fat-shaming comments. As the episode continued Butters was made to filter many other's social media accounts such as those of Steven Seagal, Demi Lovato, and Vin Diesel until he just couldn't take anymore, showed up a school naked, and jumped out a window.
If you go back to "Butter's Own Episode" and check the part where he shows his mother the pictures he took, you can see his dad along with a guy with red hair and maybe they were just re-using assets but I think it looks a bit like Craig's dad (or maybe one of the people they have at the Bar).
What some people don’t get about Randy in this episode and honestly “PC” people in general, is this isn’t South Park saying the idea of like being more accepting or sensitive is wrong. Randy is someone who’s always just using a real issue and twisting it for his own personal gain, THATS the commentary. People will pretend they’re PC or whatever to look good, but then people act like that’s actually a decent percent of people and it’s really not. If you watch the recent episode where they make Randy this right wing guy obsessed with “they’re trying to stop our boys from being boys” you’ll see they clearly think that’s a dumb notion. Randy then goes to tolkiens dad and complains about how their just playing board games and not hanging out with girls, and he says something like “oh cmon we all used to get too drunk and grope girls and shit” and tolkiens dad is like “no….I never did that”. It’s just such a great commentary on how these horrible dudes act like back in the day everyone sexually harassed women and everyone was fine with it, when all of us normal guys are being reflected though the dad going “nope I never did that” and Randy is just in disbelief that he didn’t get drunk and grope girls when he was younger 💀 and of course he thinks us as a people moving away from that is “society trying to make boys ashamed of their manhood”
Hello Dash, love the reactions. Some of my favorite episodes are Fishsticks (season 13 episode 5) and The Hobbit (season 17 episode 10). They're a little duology focused on Kanye West and they're hysterical. And since you're in Japan, I also think you'll get a kick out of Whale Whores (season 13 episode 11). And if you want some peak Randy Marsh moments, check out The Losing Edge (season 9 episode 5). I believe that was the episode that really promoted him to main character status.
The Kanye bits in The Hobbit episode is not funny after rhe first time. Seeing Wendy go through such emotional changes in that episode makes it best. But Kanye not much, just repetitive and boring

TBH, you should have watched south park from season 1 episode 1, that way you're not so lost when you see other episodes in the future, like with this one. when you were confused about butters and what had happened to him. well in a previous episode, butters was kinda forced by PC principal to filter through people's social media comments and only give people the nice comments. then all of the evil comments drove him crazy and he then jumped out of the second story window of the school and messed up his neck. and that chick he was chatting online with was his Canadian girlfriend he got when the Canadians came to live in South Park for a while till the Canadian president was fuck to death by Mr. Garrison, then all the Canadians that were in America went back to Canada after that.

What happened to Butters? Continuity happened. This was one of the first times south park tried to take serialized cannon seriously. Butters broke his neck in an earlier episode, so now he wears a brace for.. I think it was the rest of the season.
I don't know if anyone else has mentioned this. But the Japanese is nonsensical on purpose. Trey is fluent in Japanese. And just thought it would be funny.
I think I only learned it recently, as in...maybe 2017, so maybe a bit longer than "recently", but the whole yaoi or any ship structure seems to have the seme, the aggressive lover, as the first one in the pairing, so in this case, Tweek is apparently the seme, while Craig is the uke. I think you'd be somewhat familiar, though even just knowing as much Japanese as you do, which is a lot, I imagine you can already deduce part of it just from the romaji there

Randy trying to figure out how it works but acting like he does is hilarious
What some people don’t get about Randy in this episode and honestly “PC” people in general, is this isn’t South Park saying the idea of like being more accepting or sensitive is wrong. Randy is someone who’s always just using a real issue and twisting it for his own personal gain, THATS the commentary. People will pretend they’re PC or whatever to look good, but then people act like that’s actually a decent percent of people and it’s really not. If you watch the recent episode where they make Randy this right wing guy obsessed with “they’re trying to stop our boys from being boys” you’ll see they clearly think that’s a dumb notion. Randy then goes to tolkiens dad and complains about how their just playing board games and not hanging out with girls, and he says something like “oh cmon we all used to get too drunk and grope girls and shit” and tolkiens dad is like “no….I never did that”. It’s just such a great commentary on how these horrible dudes act like back in the day everyone sexually harassed women and everyone was fine with it, when all of us normal guys are being reflected though the dad going “nope I never did that” and Randy is just in disbelief that he didn’t get drunk and grope girls when he was younger 💀 and of course he thinks us as a people moving away from that is “society trying to make boys ashamed of their manhood”
Hello Dash, love the reactions. Some of my favorite episodes are Fishsticks (season 13 episode 5) and The Hobbit (season 17 episode 10). They're a little duology focused on Kanye West and they're hysterical. And since you're in Japan, I also think you'll get a kick out of Whale Whores (season 13 episode 11).
And if you want some peak Randy Marsh moments, check out The Losing Edge (season 9 episode 5). I believe that was the episode that really promoted him to main character status.

The Kanye bits in The Hobbit episode is not funny after rhe first time. Seeing Wendy go through such emotional changes in that episode makes it best. But Kanye not much, just repetitive and boring
This season had an ongoing 10 episode plot line, that's why so many things were kind of out of context.
"Fun Times With Weapons" is a well-liked episode with a smidgen of nonsense Japanese and some anime parody.

TBH, you should have watched south park from season 1 episode 1, that way you're not so lost when you see other episodes in the future, like with this one. when you were confused about butters and what had happened to him. well in a previous episode, butters was kinda forced by PC principal to filter through people's social media comments and only give people the nice comments. then all of the evil comments drove him crazy and he then jumped out of the second story window of the school and messed up his neck. and that chick he was chatting online with was his Canadian girlfriend he got when the Canadians came to live in South Park for a while till the Canadian president was fuck to death by Mr. Garrison, then all the Canadians that were in America went back to Canada after that.
I felt so awkward when this came on tv and my dad was watching it while I was closeted
It's a beautiful show, by this point they kinda had a whole overall seasonal story by this point. I suggest watching all from the start.

This was one of the first times south park tried to take serialized cannon seriously.
Butters broke his neck in an earlier episode, so now he wears a brace for.. I think it was the rest of the season.
Butters is wearing the brace because he jumped out of the second story window at the school in the previous episode S19 E5 Safe Space.

I think I only learned it recently, as in...maybe 2017, so maybe a bit longer than "recently", but the whole yaoi or any ship structure seems to have the seme, the aggressive lover, as the first one in the pairing, so in this case, Tweek is apparently the seme, while Craig is the uke. I think you'd be somewhat familiar, though even just knowing as much Japanese as you do, which is a lot, I imagine you can already deduce part of it just from the romaji there
