My dad was recently diagnosed with cancer within the last few months. This song definitely hits home. Each day he continues to wake up 6 days a week in his carhartt and boots and goes to work through his cancer journey & shows me what a true superhero is. Dad I love you. Lost my dad going on 12 yrs to cancer hee was a fighter, my super hero and worked every day til he couldn't qnd walked on his own 2 feet til the day he passed! Prayers for you and you dad and family that he wins his battle!

Im 42 and the older i get the more im proud that its my daddy's fault that im more like him then ive thought, more and more every day. 18 years ago when i had my 1st son, he hade walk outside and talk to him, I told him i didnt have a coat, he tossed me his new Carhartt, that his boss had just got for him, I kinda snuck off wearing it, about a week later, he seen me, and said that looked like his new coat, I told him it looked more like new coat, 16 years later, he would still tell me that it looked like it might have been a coat he used to have, but his didnt have all the holes in it, and rips and tears in it, that was from 16 years of keeping my butt warm, and a lot of hard work like he always thought me to do, and even keeping me safe when i laid my bike down going about 65 not the first bit of road rash, lol, id still be wearing that ol coat, if my son hadn't stole it from me 2 years ago, and finally finished it off, muddin with his friends on his fourwheeler, memories ill never forget, i love that ol man, even now when he will let me freeze, instead of offering me his coat, lol.

Sucks when you dont have a dad all your life then suddenly he buys you a ticket to meet him after 20 years of your life then suddenly gets cancer an dies a year later. I look in the mirror an see that mans face everyday an ball my eyes out because meeting that man was the best moment in my life a man or boy could ever ask for it's just crappier when my little girl came on the 14th of october.. an he couldn't hold her. .
