I’ve always thought it would be interesting to have a scene in some movie where you think they’re going to set up a conflict between Batman and Superman, but then Batman just shuts it down. Like for example, imagine a scene where the Justice League is questioning whether Superman is being reasonable or think he might be a threat and then Batman just immediately says in a logical tone “No, Clark would never do that and has proved time and time again that he’s got a good heart. If he’s acting in any way out of the norm most likely it’s because someone’s controlling him.” I just think something like that would be fun especially since people always want superheroes to fight each other.
In a way Batman and Superman are as close as brothers and though the two may appear different and have different lives, values, personalities and abilities, both share the same common goal and both then learn and grow from seeing their different perspectives and worldviews respectfully. I will never understand why the first live action movie with these two had them start off fighting each other when they're much more interesting and endearing as best friends. I PRAY we get a Worlds Finest movie in James Gunn's DCU
They are the *WORLDS FINEST* for a reason, Bruce and Clark along with Diana are best friends…Bruce has said his favorite hero is Superman and Clark has said his favorite is Batman…They are the BEST Duo in all of comics hands down, I must say clark and Bruce they both do see the good in people it’s just that Bruce also sees the more dark but that doesn’t mean Clark is a blind optimist, clark isn’t a idiot, Clark knows lex is evil and will always be evil, same goes for Darkseid, they are closer then u think.
Two people that seem to be a complete dichotomy together yet bounded by more commonalities than either of them are truly aware of. The best type of dynamic.
I guess since you are Comics Casual, you still have a lot to learn. Superman and Batman have been best friends as characters since the 50’s! It’s actually rare when they aren’t. Superman does look for the best in people, but he isn’t naive. The way he was depicted in Suicide Squad kill the Justice League is absolute nonsense. Superman is smarter than that. Superman is also trained as a fighter as well and has just as much, if not more resiliency than Batman. In the storyline Emperor Joker, The Joker killed Batman every day for who knows how long. It broke his mind because he couldn’t live with the memories of it. Superman made the spectre take those memories and put them in his mind in order for Batman to go on with his life.
actually no Superman 's greatest power is his heart /his humanity that's what Bruce loves more about Clark most people (and that includes you unfortunately ) have Lex Luthor's mentality that's why most of your think that THE POWERS is what makes SUPERMAN well SUPERMAN THE ALIEN GOD IS WHAT LEX LUTHOR SEES someone with more power than him
It's a shame that Hollywood routinely chooses to ignore this. Mainly having them at odds or keeping Batman in his own grounded-in-reality world.

Superman is the American Dream, Batman is the American Truth. I’ve always summed up Batman and Superman’s relationship with each other like this.

also Superman is a great tactical planer/also skilled figter
