I was going to ask about this. my little tanks are in front of a window. Is that enough light for the plants? They are on a table about 8 inches from the window, so they get quite a bit of natural light during the day.
@@carrielange2692 I have a bowl with no lights no fish no filter no heater. It's next to the window (the bowl is mostly hairgrass) and it's in Aquasoil, but it does really well with just natural sun light. No algae either :)
Carrie Lange I have a tub about 10 gallons with white clouds. I have both aquatic and terrestrial plants and the only light it gets is sunlight and the plants are doing great. The only thing is that you don’t have control over the lighting
perhaps an "acceptable" quality but not hq...high quality lightings ranges from 100 to 500 USD or 5k to 25k PHP. $10 or 500 pesos may get you a good lighting for nano/pico tanks but it's usually poorly built and may be a potential fire hazard. But if we're talking DIY then $20 would probably be enough for a small-mid size tank.
@@NoName-it4uu By choosing a light around $100 - $500 you're basically going for a high tech tank. $20 is literally the price of a Nicrew Classic which is a really popular option for Budget Scapers.

I would definitely recommend steering clear of the chain pet store called Pet Supplies Plus when it comes to buying live animals. The store itself is pretty nice when it comes to supplies; but as a former employee, I have to say that their animal care is subpar at best. None of their animals are quarantined before being put on the sales floor, and a lot of the fish that I worked with were shipped in with ich or fin rot. I couldn’t bring myself to stay at that job because the amount of loss that could’ve been prevented was ridiculous. Maybe their animal care improved once they became more established, but I didn’t stick around long enough to find out.
@@DevCoffey Unfortunately it's the case that many managers of many stores are told to just keep the dollar numbers up, regardless of what other crap happens at the store. hey chris! so I have been keeping fish for almost a year now and I have this anubias on a small piece of bogwood but I’ve noticed the leaves seem to be coming off a lot, is there anyway I can stop this, and what might be the cause. Thank you :)
Coming off? I've never had my anubias shed leaves... Is this submerged under water or immersed?
No way that mic on your collar is on. Is it even plugged into anything? I can tell the audio is bouncing off the walls before its even reaching a mic.
i saw this video and went 110% lol

Lol i use led light bulbs with their light softener removed and it works like miracle It can grow almost everything..
nice!
Which LED bulbs you would recommend me for my 3 x 1.5 x 1.5 feet tank? And how many of them should i use?
@@junaid5666 I would recommend 18w led baton neutral white colour with softener (white cover removed)

But for real. That nicrew light is no joke. I run 3 different length Nicrew ClassicLEDs and they really work. The other Nicrew light "sky" something or other isn't nearly as good.
Yeah those classic ones are top notch!
Should i get nicrew classic led plus or nicrew classic led g2
Light aye. Maniac laughing
xD
LEDs are really the only smart awnser
Pretty much
What about a bulb or something
Fearless Memes they don’t last long six months if you’re lucky And they’re expensive to replace LEDs will last you three years most likely

This isn't helping me because I'm in NZ and the electricit is different :(
