What an amazing advance in technology. I was at the opening of this wonderful Opera House in 1973 and nobody could have foreseen the myriad of images to be projected onto the sails. The images shown here are of course a highlight of the Olympic Games and Cathy Freeman, a proud Australian athlete and an equally proud Indigenous Australian Olympic champion. Certainly worthy of timeless preservation.

Individual Olympic track event medals are hard to achieve by any athlete. To a person, those of us watching the race on television in Australia that evening were jubilant and let off a collective shout of joy and elation. I am reliving that moment happened 20 years ago.
