I think it is worth mentioning that as well as Asperger's, high and low functioning labels have also gone the way of the dinosaur. A lot of people think of the spectrum the same way as the electromagnetic spectrum is displayed with red at one end (being 'low functioning' and violet at the other (high functioning), but now autism is seen as less linear. Also, we have good and bad days just like everyone else. Some days I am high functioning in a specific area, some days I am low functioning. But that isn't me! I am not always that.
