why sell it or design it without that setup was my point and you basically made it for me . pro charger is awesome just feel they dropped the ball on a setup they know they are pushing them kinda numbers less power probably less problems with slippage but huge power huge problems as they proved
If you install it the way the kit comes most don't have problems. When you start changing pulleys and making more boost things have limits. If your going towards more of a race setup you run a cog. We were smart enough to do that almost 20years ago. Anyone that's been around blowers along enough knows you can only spin a blower so hard before the belt slips. There's no flaws in the design. The cog setup is there for anyone that's smart enough to know when they need it.
A big problem with running cog is shafts are not usually strong enough and they usually break unless you use really high grade material or billet which most people can’t afford so usually not an option unless you ask for billet shafts! I wanna run cog on my 3.4L whipple but been told shafts are to weak to run cog
@@rangrybillymaddin2459 no the problem is people use to much tension on them. They think it's still the other setup. It doesn't require the same tension as a non cog setup. In 20+ years never hurt a shaft or anyone who raced with use. Guys make between 700 and 2000hp+.
I'm not sure what they have out for your set up but may be worth looking into innovators west pulleys I switched over to a 10 rib setup on my 2010 camaro and their pulleys are fantastic really clean looking too. Great job on the car man she really is a rocket ship and a sexy looking one at that.
And we Corvette freaks were worried about the new C7 rear lights...haaaa they look great...and still looks like a Corvette...8.677 wow...what does it feel like ..are your knuckles white???? Haaa great car..

I've got a theory you might think about...with the snorkel on the Procharger, at high speed I would think the air going across the hood would create a vacuum effect or an area of low pressure at the inlet causing you to loose boost. Your belt didn't slip on the dyno right? Just a thought. Btw, love the channel, especially being a former KC native!
Jeff Smith I also mentioned this in a previous video. Never got a reply as to why they did it that way. Aiming towards the front, I'd guess he'd get some extra boost at high speed.

Sounds to me like you need to invest in a cogged pulley setup and eliminate belt slip forever.
cog drive or race drive setup if it fits.
chrisheltra or try a 12 rib or gear drive set up

if i planned on a cog drive setup I want nothing less than a billet crank with a BBC snout.

Awesome Car but the supercharger intake tube is configured to draw a vacuum as the car accelerates thus starving it for air.
