The Campulance is a 2002 Ford E450 Marque Commando 164 Class III ambulance powered by the Ford 7.3l Powerstroke turbo diesel engine and a 4 speed 4R100 transmission. Lefty is a 68lb American Staffordshire Terrier (best I can tell) that came from the Verona Street Animal Shelter (www.vsas.org/) in March 2014 at the age of 9 months. You're right about some people not being dog people, but it's the people who don't pick up after their dogs who make it tough for the rest of us. That OUPES unit is nice!
@@poodleprofessor There are times I puck up after other dogs so I don't lose my priviledges. Another issue is owners who don't leash their dogs in places that specifilly state all dogs must be on leashes.

As a volunteer at a County Shelter I know that most dogs are better than a lot of people. Lefty is a great dog and it is obvious how much you and he have bonded. Thank you to OUPES for sponsoring you videos.

Unfortunately, some people have gotten used to lousy pet owners letting their dogs go anywhere and not picking it up. Then when they encounter someone who takes responsibility they don't know how to handle it and act like everyone around them is a jerk. It's sad. Oupes is a great brand! So nice of you and them to do the giveaway!!

Camping certainly has changed since I was a kid. People got along well in the 50’s & 60’s. Respect was the operative word. The OUPES looks very handy.
People looking to be offended are rarely disappointed. If there is ever a power OUPES, it would be nice to have a power station like that. I would use it while camping, too. Thanks for sharing your story.
OUPES: Dogs are a best example of what unconditional love looks like. I feel sorry for people who don’t get to experience it.

That's me. Always wanted one but can't because I can barely take care of myself.
OUPES - When I had dogs, I always tied the bags through a belt loop to make it obvious that I was going to pick up my dogs business. Never had a problem after I started doing that.
Yes , people in the Northeastern U. S. will get very aggressive in attacking and policing you for just standing outside out of the way with a small leashed dog . Using a container as a compliance flag just might be a preventative to the agressive h*ters .
When the neighbor dogs come to visit me, I just give them some love. Thank you Oupes for sponsoring this video.

When we walk our pup, I alway take the initiative to step away and halt when coming across another person. As you say, not all people are dog people, and I respect that. In nearly all cases, they want to pet our pup, which she loves, and we end up telling road stories to each other. Be cool, stay safe, and enjoy the moment.

When that guy confronted you about Lefty pooping, you should have said "OK, but excuse me while I take a dump".

After I bumped into her, I said OUPES and she smiled. Today was a good day. 😊
(This one of many reasons why I hate campgrounds). Just left a campground and had a neighbor, three sites down, leave one morning with their dog tied up outside. They were gone all day, returning about 6 PM. Temperature was in the low 90s in the afternoon. Dog barked all day, because it was miserable and felt abandoned. Not a surprise, I would be too. Many people complained to the Campground hosts, who said they could do nothing, because the dog had shade, water & food. However, they talked to the owners after they returned. Next day, same thing. This time someone called the police, who in turn called animal control. They took the dog away. The owners were livid when they returned. Although they had no concern with abandoning their barking dog all day, tied up outside in 90s degree heat. -- I only stay in campgrounds two to three weeks a year, because of incidents like this and how inconsiderate too many people have become.
That's a terrible way to treat their dog and to have no concern for the other campground residents. Unreal. Like you, we don't visit campgrounds very often.

Ahh! OK, so you doo use the bags to scoop the Lefty leavings. That’s awesome.
In the town where I live, there is a law requiring folks to bag the dog business.
Sadly, being that I work around residential properties all week, it is clear that a huge % of folks will bag it, but they clearly just throw the bag in the next yard down the line. There are green & blue used doggie bags everywhere.
Mr. Cambulance man, I say all of this in order to make the point that those other campers are probably not singling you out personally. I see it more along the lines of, being that everybody doesn’t seem to take the cleanup efforts seriously, it is more probable than not that any stranger with the dog down the way is going to leave the poop somewhere in the vicinity. Those campers are just trying to, “head it off at the pass”. If this problem wasn’t so pervasive everywhere, and given that it is plain ‘ole unpleasant to have to deal with piles of puppy poop everywhere, I almost don’t blame those guys for taking a stand….. listening to the story, it does not sound as if they were being too awfully rude..
OUPES, I almost forgot, the doggy drop drama appears to be a universal issue (pun)
People seem to think they OWN everything. You did fine they were out of line! Your dog is on leash ( some parks require no longer than 6ft). And you were on established trails. And yes always pick up after your pet! To those "nieghbors" try some understanding a coyote can poop in "your " site way easier than his dog on leash!!!❤❤❤❤
I had a sign hanging in my restaurant for over 15 years that describes exactly what you are talking about.. The sign says ..
"NO MATTER HOW BEAUTIFUL A HERD OF HORSES MAY BE THERE WILL ALWAYS A BRAYING JACKASS IN IT" 😊 ....... OUPES is a nice unit.

Looks like Lefty is doing better hope his leg is healed! There's always someone who just wants to be mean they are just looking for a chance to get mad at something you just happened to be the person they could vent at. It's always best to walk away so they don't drag you into their turmoil. Guess it's worth a shot OUPES they do make a good product from what I've seen.

Yeah, Dave, my response every time which works 99% is 'Whoa! Don't overreact now. I'm not one of THOSE people!😅!" This while my hand is up in a 🛑 gesture.
The reaction from them is to sort of laugh nervously. I can see using the word "overreact " is making them think. It's effective. It puts me in control so I'm not seething at the gaul and aggressiveness pointed in my direction for hours. It affects me. I'm very sensitive and very friendly and outgoing. When I run into an insensitive I don't understand why everyone is not like me. Like a newborn puppy. Happy to meet and greet. I need to think in these instances about their story but also resist the pull to try and help "fix" them. 😅😊

The sad part is it happens in a normal neighborhoods too. We have people walking their dogs in our neighborhood and just leaving the crap for us to clean up. Since we have put in outdoor cameras, it’s a fair game and we know who’s who just letting their four legged pets pooped and pee. We’re all seniors in our neighborhood but for some reason some people just let their dogs reek havocs. Hang in there Dave. I have a little dog too and I am very protective of her when we are at camp.

It's unfortunate that some people aren't more considerate like you are. Lefty is such great boy! I worry a little bit about all the public lands starting to charge fees. I hope that doesn't happen. The OUPES power station looks like a really nice one! You guys take care and be safe out there on the road. Flash and I are still working hard to get out on the road ourselves finally. There's been a couple of delays but we're working hard at it. I'm hoping we finally make it by the end of this month.

Its life's 9 to 1 ratio. 9 of 10 are usually friendly and kinda chill. But there's always that one. I tell my kids - "don't be that one." And oupes, of course.

Oupes dogs are truly man’s best friend.
Some people are not ever happy and have to find something to complain about. Lefty is so much like Buddy. They are both very vocal. My neighbor has a dog that used to bark every night at 3am and wake us up. When we rescued Buddy, it got bad because every time her beautiful dog barked in the middle of the night, so did Buddy. I finally texted and asked her very nice if there was any way she could stop him from the nightly wakeup. It did stop, but now she will not talk to me. We have been neighbors for over 20 years.
Ooh, that's too bad. Having good neighbors is hard - I hope you 2 get back to being friendly :)
