    Forget about the other dirty staff man, look at those shifting knobs, absolutely impressive, I LOVE IT, great job man

    I'm glad you went with knobs that keep the gear layout on them. It'll help new drivers and not be an issue when selling, should that happen.
    Too many folks go with new knobs that don't have the layout, forgetting they probably won't be the only ones driving. 👍

    One of the first things I got for my LJ was husky and weather tech floor liners. Easy to kick the sand/dirt out then rinse off.

    Highly recommend the rock hard sport cage over the vector bar! I’m running it with 67designs phone and camera mount

      I’ve thought about doing that, but for now I don’t want to do the rock hard. Eventually I plan on building a custom cage

      To cool! I loved the look so went with it but I’d much rather have a full cage!!

    Does your shift knob have a bigger gap on one side than on the other at the bottom of the knob? I love the shift knobs but the manual shifter doesn’t fit correctly. It’s all black and hard to see, but I know its there. Love the videos BTW

    Ben: Another great video. You mentioned the need to work on the interior of the Jeep. My I make a recommendation. We pulled the seats and carpet out of our 2016 JK and installed HushMat. We ran the Trans-America Trail this past June/July and it made a tremendous difference when running with the top on as it reduces road/undercarriage noise. Maybe you can air a video to show the install. Not too difficult, just a lot of cutting and sticking the sheets down. Once you added the BedRug, you will be very happy with the outcome.

    Seems like they fit on the shift levers kind of loosely? I probably would've wrapped the upper part of the lever, in electrical tape, until the levers fit snugly, then tightened that set screw. Just my .02 cents. Love the vids, keep em coming!!

    Hey Ben. This isn’t related to the shift knob but are you still running the drop control arm brackets ? And if so what do u think of them ? Do u find they hit on objects ?

    • @JKGearandGadgets
      @JKGearandGadgets  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Still running them! And they are a great way to get a better ride and control arm angles. I hit mine on rocks often, not a big deal at all. They hit in the same place that long arms wouldz

    A footnote about the shift knob, I have 2013 JKUR with a manual transmission. The bend in the shaft is higher up than on the shaft in this video. You will need to check where the shift knob will sit. If the bend is higher toward the top like mine, there will be a bigger gap on the driver side at the base of the shift knob than at the bottom. The result is that the shift knob will look lopsided. I went back and forth with Adam at AJT regarding this issue and he was unwilling to do anything to do anything to help. His response was that he has never run into this issue in the year that he’s been selling these knobs. Just to clarify, the shaft of my shifter is OEM I find it very hard to believe that in the year he has sold these, mine would be the only shifter with the bend at the top 4 inches of the shaft. I call B.S. buyer beware when buying from a company that refuses to help you.....Sorry for the rant, but that’s the way I feel about poor customer service.

    • @eglenn73
      @eglenn73 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Got mine today and am experiencing the same issue. Glad it’s not just my imagination. Also, the transfer case knob doesn’t fit real secure with just 1 screw down point. For the money, I’m kinda bummed.

    I'm looking at a '15 Sport with a 6 speed, how much shifter vibration is normal while driving down the road? The one I test drove had alot but did shift smoothly. Thanks

    Will it fit a automatic transmission and do you just pull it off the same way

    Howd you do that shift boot? Cause it looks alot better than the rubber one my 2009 JK has.

    • @JKGearandGadgets
      @JKGearandGadgets  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ahh let me think. I bought it when I first got the Jeep, the factory rubber was ripped. I want to say I got it from a place called redline? Not too sure, but it was online and it’s a leather shift boot. Looks pretty nice I think

    Like your videos bro. Strong work and keep them coming. With that being said these are not impressive. The transition from stick to knob isn’t great and there isn’t anything special here. Hope these aren’t more than 20 bucks a knob. They remind me of the knobs at autozone. But like I said earlier great videos and also great stuff on your wives channel....Plus she’s a lot easier on the eyes than you are. Seriously though keep em coming bro, and I hope u feel better.

I understand that you get free parts in exchange for making videos but I think a simple shout out would have been enough.

      Allen Wilson no worries man. He made a good point and everyone’s able to have their own opinions. I took his comment as a compliment in a way, it’s cool to see that people are watching my videos with the intent to learn something. I started the channel for that reason, and I need to get back to making more Informative videos and true “how to’s”
