  • First test of new sound system. Our Armortek Leopard running on my custom brushless motors. Sound are from the Beier USM RC3 with an Ampire 24v amplifier and 2 flat panel speaker. Rest assured speakers will be changing, but as time was short this is good enough for a while. The sound file is for the Leopard and the turbo whistle is awesome.

well damn that's looking sexy AF! I like how neat you routed your wiring. I'm also jealous of how beautiful of a driveway you got to test your leopard on. I'm on the edge of my seat waiting for your hydraulic videos for the front end of your tank.

Wow a AEV3 Kodiak recovery tank, that is very cool, keep up the posts even showing the making of the blade & excavator arm.

hi so sorry if this sounds weird but have you thought about having a dinosaur on top instead of the turret like like dinosaur tank from the ultraman show?

    Maybe you can answer this...
I'm on Drawing #20 Rear Vent Assembly, and it calls out to use (2) M3 x 25 Button HD???
Would you happen to know where those are?

The m3x25 hold the grill panel CV0316 through CV0323 and then through CV0318 to hold the rear support bracket on you will need to add nuts on the back side. Treat the manual as a guide, I have changed a lot of things and had to guess a lot too. Hope that helps.

@TheMinimivic Yea I've noticed that also but I still can't find the m3x25 butt screws.
I email Armortek on the problem already. Hopefully, they can tell me something.
Thanks for the reply and video. The tank looks amazing.

Read your finding on their Forum about Tyres loosen and torsion bars only 5mm in diameter.
The tyre's wrongly flat profile and too loose are big issues , and leave every buyer a headache now. IMHO , The Armortek needs to replace it with a matched-with-wheel-rim profile and a little bit tighter one. But will they do it? Also worried about the track rubber pads flying off.
For obvious reason , I don't want to discuss this on their Forum. But hope more buyers like you will , as time goes by.
    Good luck!

@@FABIANJERRYTHEDUTCH Hi Fabian, my build uses no Armortek parts apart from the chassis running gear. All the electronics and drive are my own design. I have been using the same brushless drive on various models for over a year, well before Armortek started using brushless. I do sell it as a kit if you’re interested. The speakers are just flat panel surround sound speakers off the internet. They work really well and fit superbly in the shallow space above the motors.More compact motors means more space for batteries or other goodies. See my other videos.

    Very good performance.
What is that large octagon part at the front for?
Is there any issue about the track raised up from sprocket wheel , or compression of first pair of road wheels ?

      @TheMinimivic  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

I’m building an AEV3 Kodiak armoured recovery tank. So the hex part is the turntable for the excavator. No other Armortek parts are used from this point forward. The tracks are picky regarding tension. Track pads keep flying off also.

Superb, very nice install on the electronics front
      Sounds and goes really well
Hat's of to get to this point so quickly, and look forward to seeing it become a recovery vehicle something totally different
