    Engine mods are AIRAID enclosed intake, LCE header, and Flowmaster 44 series muffler (center inlet/center outlet) with a sprint booster throttle controller.

      Idk why everyone is pressed about the acceleration, that was not the point of the video. This was just a sound clip for the exhaust and header combo

    What are your rpms like at 70 after you regeared?? Sorry in advance if that's been asked 50 times already. Nice truck man 🤘

    I have 265/75/r16s on my 2.7L and I’m getting 15.5 mpg. Should I regear?

    • @macuser575
      @macuser575  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I’m averaging about 19mpg on 265/70r17 E rated mud terrains ,so essentially the same size tires with 5.29 gears. I went up 1mpg since the regear but the biggest difference is in the power. I also have an intake and LCE header which has somewhat helped mpg. I don’t regret regearing if that helps you figure out what you want to do

    Thats full throttle according to that tach..you got a loud 4 banger

      Lord have mercy this wasn’t supposed to be about the trucks acceleration, this was just for sound purposes. The truck has a throttle controller, 50% is probably 70% percent throttle. Either way the truck is so under powered the difference between 50% throttle and 100% throttle is marginal. I took this muffler off and swapped it for something more quiet

  • @clover7359
    @clover7359 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    1:00 You can say that was half throttle, but the shift points indicate that was full throttle.

    • @macuser575
      @macuser575  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Truck has a throttle controller which most likely means 50% throttle isn’t actually 50% probably somewhere more like 70% throttle. I noticed it will shift higher while driving slower too. Either way the truck is so under powered the difference between 50% and 100% is probably marginal lol

    • @clover7359
      @clover7359 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@macuser575 The throttle is tuned to keep the actual throttle valve as open as possible as often as possible for maximum MPG. This can lead to some frustrating driving characteristics, but using the sport mode and setting the highest gear to something to mitigate unwanted shifts can help. Using a throttle controller to defeat that will sacrifice some fuel efficiency, but if it makes the driving experience more tolerable, I say it's a win.

    Have you noticed any changes? Hp or mpg?

    • @macuser575
      @macuser575  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The biggest difference and power and mpg definitely came from the header. No difference from the muffler. Before tires I was averaging around 23.5 mpg with these mods per tank. Truck does feel quicker and more drivable

    • @4af
      @4af 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nope. Here's a stock 2020 2.7 that accelerates as fast; i.e. it accelerates from 20 - 60 mph in 8 seconds just like his modded truck does: th-cam.com/video/TOeSfq4K47w/w-d-xo.html

      @@4af I literally wrote in the video the truck was at half throttle. Header and intake has definitely made a difference

    • @macuser575

      @@verlaryder truck is regeared now to 5.29 lol. Also the wheels on this truck in the video are bigger than stock and much heavier 31.8inch + 88lbs per wheel vs stock 30inch and only 64lbs . The fact that my truck accelerates better on mud terrains in this part throttle video should be enough evidence
