On the blue steel: wheel is (currently) not needed in the deck. The addition of the extra steel pawp makes the deck a lot more consistent. There's been builds with Maurice's workshop as another draw engine in the deck for some spice. But the card draw in the deck is PREMIUM. AWNW is still an insanely good card, but if you can maintain card advantage without giving your opponent anything, you're set

I guess that Lazaro deck was incorrect and the Moana was the wrong card. I though that was weird with no locations. It is the 4 cost evasive Moana, which makes more sense.
Loved the broken arm story. Thanks for sharing, Baker. I think that after you reach a certain age if you don’t have “Well, that wasn’t my best moment” stories that your life may be a little boring. Also glad to see an event that wasn’t dominated by Emerald/Steel. Had eight regulars show up to league last weekend, and four of them were playing the squirrel. 😬
If you know or remember anything about the early days of competitive YuGiOh, Lazaro and his brother were some of the best theory crafters and most successful players of their time. Its nice to see him bring his unique takes to Lorcana
Could someone explain the "At the start of your turn" part for Flynn? If I play him turn 2 and then Fox on turn 3. Technically at the start of my turn Fox is not in play yet, correct? So I wouldn't be able to activate Flynn's effect until turn 4? Most likely overthinking it and not seeing how it actually works. Any explanation would be appreciated.
You are correct, in this instance you wouldn't gain the lore until the start of turn 4. Another way to do it is to play Felicia (3-1) on T1, Flynn on T2, and then you would gain the lore at the start of T3 as long as Felicia is the highest strength on the board, and Flynn survives.
Flynn is also able to trigger off of himself if I understand correctly. It is pretty unlikely that by turn 3 your opponent will only have characters under 2 power BUT if they do he will trigger on turn 3 lol
I'm not surprised to see no steelsong in the top cut. Especially considering how much popular ruby saphire is. Steelsong has no chance against this colour combination (kinda always has).
Honestly I thought that about set 3 DLC's and then steelsong won Lille lol. Yes it has a bad matchup into RS, but a good matchup into Emerald so I'm still a little surprised to not see it.
People just to lazy to construct decks. I won my local tournament with top meta decks with my Emerald ametyst tempo. I didnt use any internet list. You need to sit with your cards and think a little IT dosent Hurts rly
@@LorcanaVillain im talking about community cry that Bucky Emerald Steel deserves ban. People are to lazy to look for answers for that deck. ES is very good deck. Rest meta decks are very good to, but to slow and dont have answers needed. Imagine how i feel playing Emerald Amber songs vs any Red deck, my game Play ends with Sisu on the board same sytuation but no one crys. i have very good mutchup with ES. Kida + under the sea makes them scoop everytime. But this deck is unplayable vs Red decks

And forget about Be Prepared; because the game has long since been won before even Ruby Sapphire can ramp into it. People see the same few decks online and assume that they are the only ones that work. Nope. They're just the ones that have been proven and it's easier for tournament players to use them to make winning easier, than to constantly try to upset the meta.
Actually they showed 4 different decks and each list with pretty different builds. Another deck to keep an eye on would be yellow/green discard since it showed its power well throughout the tournament.
@@robertsmith1905 Amber/Emerald Discard is extremely powerful. I was running it during Season 3 on Pixelborn with the Inklands cards. It's only gotten better with Ursula's Return.
@@Xoulrath_ problem with hyper aggro is that if you are playing against steel, your Main enemy isn't only grab your sword. If your opponent plays solid gameplay, he will use fire the Cannons and captain Hook forcefull duelist, to survive until he can Play grab your sword. Maybe perditta can hold against steel, but she doesn't match with hyper aggro definition. P.S. sorry for my bad english

When I created this colour combination and the original Bucky deck back in RotF, I put 4-cost Flynns, so you could shift turn 3 after Bucky.

In lorcana meta wad always dead. There is no place for aggro, witch means that playing Control decks is do easy
