I also print out every boarding pass. Your phone could die, be stolen, be lost, etc. Nothing beats a paper backup.

I learned from my Mom that if you wear a sweater or zipper sweatshirt to remove it when you are on the plane and seated. If you get cold just put it on backwards and if you get hot just slip it off. You won’t bother anyone sitting next to you and your back will be warm because it is against the seat! 👩🏼💻

Always always always take a photo copy of your passport AND the barcode in the back of the passport book with you. My son lost his passport in Europe but since I made a copy we spent half a day at the embassy instead of all day for a temporary to get back home. We showed them the bar code and whoosh got it done. Game changer!

My tip is to buy a mini hand scale to weigh your luggage before you get to the airport. If you don't have one, go early and use the scales at the closed counters to weight your luggage and adjust if you need to. Also, when you are early sometimes if your luggage is overweight, the airline attendant will not charge you----- this isn't always the case! lol

Last tips, when boarding, if you have children, listen to the boarding announcement. Sometimes you will have priority boarding, and you will board the same time as business class. It always helps to have a conversation with your child before you travel. Remind them to be pleasant and use good manners to the airline staff , and especially the cabin crew. We got so many incentives during my travels because of this! Overall, it is a good practice in any setting!

I always get something for the Gate Agents and all Flight Attendants. Never candy I buy off of Amazon pen, small note books, tissues, chapstick or gum and pack them in a baggie. It doesn't cost much and they are so happy I have thought of them

Where do we find what the set prices are for taxi?
You can google it in advance but usually if there is a set price, there will be a sign with the list of all the prices right outside of the airport in the taxi area. Some taxis also have the list of those prices written on the back of the seat inside the car, but not always.
Greetings from Nassau Bahamas! In our main airport (Lynden Pindling International Airport (LPIA)), the water fountains past the security gates are turned off to force people to purchase bottled water. This practice should be illegal!

If you wear your chunkiest shoes, you are more likely to be asked to remove them security, than when you wear thin shoes. Personal experience, and observation.
I'd rather have to take my shoes off then have to pay for an overweight bag. I always wear they heaviest shoes that are going on the trip.

My tip is to not talk about Europe as one country and i someone does don´t take their advise as there are different rules.
Best airport hack - don’t fly.
