my dad had one of these style knives. when he died i took possession of it. thought it was called a raptors claw. at least now i know the real name of it. love it also

Amazing work, I can not imagine the amount of thinking and planning that goes into each project. I want to preserve at least one of my Grandaughters ballet shoes in resin, can you please give me some inspiration on this. I am sure there are many proud Parents, Grandparents who would love to do similar,
I suggest you do something small first.
That one must have really took some hours, lots of mold making, filing, sanding, and coping, but it really turned out very nice. Cool and Great Job.

I love the way you did the karambit. I did karate for 5 years and trained with a karambit in self-defense and that was my favorite weapon to train with.

This reminds me of a porcelain decorative knife I got years ago with a buck painted on and a fake antler as decoration for the hilt. It hangs over a fake hide with a wolf head painted on it.

So cool, I bet this is sharp too. Resin can be super sharp. I use a sharp Keychain a friend made me to open boxes. It works great 😁😁😁

I work with resinous flooring and make a lot of little side projects in my free timed anything from roses to centerpieces for tables haha. I collect/love knives and this is making my brain RUN 😤

Very good work on that Karambit. The colors blend well. I am working on weapons this month and I have a Karambit folding style. I am also considering a dual blade sewing. Won't be out till next month though. Good work.

This method is fine for the first one but a reusable mold is necessary if you’re wanting to make a ton of these as a side hustle.

You can make small shapes(like star , heart, triangle etc) with left over pieces... And use them as beads for making beads bracelet...

The results are amazing! This has got to be the most time consuming project you have done. Through the magic of editing, you show it all in 12 min, however..... I would not be surprised to learn you have way over 12 working hours into this project. Is it possible to have a little timer in the corner of the screen showing just how much time is actually spent on not only each step, but the project as a whole?

This turned out beautifully but I was puzzled by your resin mold. Is there a reason that you put all the extra effort into bracing and securing such a tall, thin mold when you could have made a short, rectangular mold much easier? I'm sure you have your reasons but I can't figure out what they are so if you wouldn't mind sharing, I would really appreciate it! 😁
A poured resin with such a large surface area is not exactly smooth and straight. And also I would have to level the form with a spirit level so that the thickness is the same everywhere

@@jedrek29t thank you :) I have a new order of resin arriving from Amazon later today. I’m out…well, not completely out… but I don’t have enough left to make one of these beautiful knives… i can forge a blade from steel and put scales made of wood or deer antler on it thanks to my grandfather teaching me the craft when I was just a child… but this will be a little,bit out of my wheel house… I make little,items for like keychains and earrings or necklaces… I have never tried to make something like this without a mold of some sorts…. So this will definitely be a new experience!
