    Does anyone else want them to make matching armor for Hansi? I would love to see Martina teaching him how to make his own style and then having those dramatic shots where they are fighting back-to-back. A small effects board might fit in the hilt. Don't know many but the smallest I know of are for 3rd party Lego lighting. Flickering and pulse for engInes, fire, water etc. Pulse might work for picking up the dagger but dropping could cut power at brightest part.

    Reminds me of how back in the eighties, Rusty Dawe (very well-known American costumer -- he and his wife Diane, plus their friends the Turners, won a lot of costuming awards at SF conventions, and later CostumeCons, back in the day) made Stormbringer, Elric's sword from Michael Moorcock's books. Similar, in that it only worked when he held it, but different.
    No LEDs, so IIRC he used fiber optics. No teensy power supplies, so he had the battery on him, camouflaged as part of his Elric costume. He ran wires down his arm to his gauntlet, which had metal contacts in the palm (disguised as studs in the leather or something, with the same design in the other gauntlet), and the sword's hilt was also metal. When he held the sword, that connected the sword to the battery, and when he waved it, the light effect rippled up and down the blade. But if he let someone else hold it, they couldn't make it work. Magic sword -- only works for Elric. :)
    Your daggers are massively awesome, and go really well with the costume!

    Adding a dimmer 'switch' might have made the effect even cooler. The closer you hand/magnet gets, the brighter it glows.

      Don't know if you could do it in something the size of a dagger grip but, perhaps, hall switches with different degrees of sensitivity. As the magnetic field gets stronger/closer, another switch closes lighting up another LED in the crosspiece.

    I'm watching this now, two years later, after having followed a full jewellery making and goldsmithing course (with lost wax method!), and guys I have to say that I was amazed by how well you handled that being your first time! You also sanded that and polished that with the correct stuff, the same I use at the goldsmithing school, that was so good to see!

    But they look amazing

    • @chadh3441
      @chadh3441 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The light hypnotizes the victim causing them to be unable to look away or move. This always results in every strike being a critical hit whenever the Rogue chooses, depending upon how much suffering they wish the victim to feel. Their death could be over in a few seconds or a few minutes or hours. Having two daggers allows the Rogue to be abke to place one in front of the victim to hold their gaze while the other is used to dispatch or torture said victim. I couldn't think of a better character attribute for a Rogue if my life depended on it.! Lol
