in conversation

"In Conversation" is the second portion of a project based on audio recordings of Wallace Berman's Speaking in Tongues, the book I was drawn to use as a tool and inspiration in my choreographic process.
My exploration of the photography/ artist book was a deep dive into a world of diverse elements. From naked women to political moments of history, each component was interwoven in a unique way. This rich tapestry, which I further explored through online recordings, provided a profound insight into Berman's intentions and philosophy. In response, I strive to establish a connection to his archived work through the medium of photography and dance.
