We hope you're living your BEST PROVERBS 31 LIFE!
This Proverbs 31 woman sounds BUSY! But she's not busy with idle nonsense. She's wisely using the resources she's been given, to work with her hands and provide good things for her family and she is thought well of by her husband, and her community...
~ her price is far above rubies (that's a lot!)
~ her husband's heart trusts in her
~ she does her husband good
~ she seeketh wool & flax
~ she works WILLINGLY with her hands (as opposed to GRUDGINGLY)
~ she's like merchant ships, bringing food from afar
~ she rises when it's still dark
~ she provides food to her household, including those who work for her
~ she makes good business decisions
~ she plants
~ she strengthens her body
~ she produces good things
~ she works hard
~ she makes stuff
~ she is kind to others
~ she's confident that she's well prepared
~ she is industrious and resourceful
~ she opens her mouth...wisdom comes out
~ she takes care of people around her
~ she isn't idle
~ her children love her
~ her husband praises her
Wow. It's A LOT when you think of it as a list, BUT...really, she's just a woman, doing as she's been instructed by God, living a quiet life in her community, wisely using the resources she's been given, in a way that is honouring to him.
The only thing we can do to get REAL WISDOM is to study our bible, forever improving in all that we do, and THIS is what enables us to have discernment and make choices that line up with the values God wants for us, with our hearts slowly but surely being perfected as much as they can be on this earth.
