Hey, I am going to have to call BS on the auto insurance with USAA -- 100% PT has no effect according to these agents (call center agent and her supervisor). Little disappointing since I, too, live in Maryland

Very good and helpful video, thank you. I was discharged back in 2014, and have documented hearing issues at 30yo as a result of the military service. How long is the whole process to be rated at 100% from having nothing currently? Any lawyers you'd recommend?

I’m 100% P&T and applied for SSDI. I am currently a student and plan to pursue a higher degree plan. I e never taken out student loans so can I take them out and then once I’m done with school apply for discharge?

My husband is 100%, if I want to use travel A for me and our children does my husband have to be on the fly with us? Due to numerous health issues he does not travel much.
I’m very so to hear about your husband’s health conditions! Unfortunately, spouse and family members of 100% P&T are unable to travel without the sponsor. Only AD or if spouse was OCONUS.
If you are retired from the military there is no need to obtain the disabled veteran card. Your retired ID is all that you require. Unfortunately, not everyone is retired so upon being 100% P&T, you obtain the ID card to utilize the benefits available on bases. Hope this helps

Were you under the CSRS system for retirement? CSRS covered employees contribute 7, 7.5, or 8 percent of pay to CSRS and, while they generally pay no Social Security retirement, survivor and disability (OASDI) tax, they must pay the Medicare tax (currently 1.45 percent of pay). Mar 27, 2023 What is the Social Security offset for CSRS retirees? The amount CSRS Offset employees pay for retirement is the same amount that CSRS employees pay, however it is reduced, or offset, by Social Security taxes (6.2 % of pay). Agencies contribute a set amount (7% for most employees) to CSRS Offset. Mar 27, 2023
You can still use the GI Bill when your P&T. The only thing that would wipe it out is if you use it all up or your not eligible for it for whatever reason.
