@Veteran0831 In my experience, the large veteran-serving organizations have networks of organizations in the state that serve veterans. Some have meetings to get to know each other and potentially work together.
This is so awesome my husband is a veteran but not able to start up a business because of his PTSD and Anxiety Disorders. I am the business person and I do thank you for this very important information. I just called our village regarding if I need a business license to start up an online business she said that is a good question and will get back with me on that. Thank you so very much for this information you are doing a great job.
Thank for the information so veteran seem to be the last to hear of these services and we have to wonder why we veterans are not first told of them ! so whom has been using them college students ?...
I have a family member working with a nonprofit that serves veterans, and he told me the same thing. I’m hoping this video will help reverse that trend.
i applied for graduate school and was told to file for veterans educational benifits i did and about two months later i recieved a letter stating there was no money at this time can i reapply
I would look through the benefits instructions to see what reapplying looks like. There might be a time (hopefully soon) when their budget will have dollars available.
It depends on what you need them for. Are you looking for personal needs, for small business, or are you part of a nonprofit? Each of those categories has slightly different requirements.
Hello Grant Chatter: Lots of great information and thank you so much, Can you please guide me to a grant for a down payment on a 6 family commercial building I will greatly appreciate it thanks..
Check with your local economic development agency for funding options to help build local businesses. Here's a searchable directory, www.eda.gov/economic-development-directory
I googled your exact phrase, "scholarship/ grant information for DoD civilian employees" and a lot of different results came up. If you try that, do those results give you what you're looking for?
My brother in law just went finished his Bankruptcy case and now is looking to start over. Do any of these Grants or services discriminate against Bankruptcy applicants?
I haven't seen that, but if there is something that looks like a fit, use the links in the description below the video to read through the website, for their eligibility requirements.
Good question. If you find one or more resources in the video that interest you, take a deep dive into their websites linked in the video description, and see what their eligibility requirements are.
Please review the video and the links in the description below the video. All kinds of information, and disabled veterans are certainly included. And thank you for your service.

Instead of a grant, you can call the phone number 211. It's a free call, and the operators connect you to local services that can provide help you need. You won't have to write a grant, but these local services might ask you to fill out forms.

Hello. I was looking at one of your other videos that you made over 1yr ago. Do you have any suggestions on any organizations that provide free gas cards? I have tried churches and catholic organizations in CO without any luck at all. I only need a full tank of fuel. Thank you.
Thanks for watching! Try benefits instead of grants. There is a website with a long list of services in your area, based on your zip code. It's free to use. I did a complete walkthrough the entire process in this video, th-cam.com/video/Vf8NDBQRKwE/w-d-xo.html
@grantchatter I understand I watched that video. All I'm looking for is a gas card - I'll try that website but I haven't had any luck. Thank you for responding!
I also had a similar question about expats applying for grants, and I think the answer will be the same. If you find something you're interested in, give the requirements a solid read-through. Also, I am working on a series of videos for international grants, so if this video doesn't help, maybe the others will.
@ iam trying to find grants to help Veterans who are in the Philippines and not on Tri-care to be able to get Funds to pay for their medical needs as not all areas here accept The FMP VA program. We have to travel hours to a Hospital that will accept it, or we have to pay out of pocket and then try to get reimbursed, and there is no local FMP to contact even though there is many who need information.
I think that's outside the normal "grant" category, and more into services or benefits. I searched for "VA benefits in the Philippines" on TH-cam and found these two videos that might have more insights than I would have (no connection or promotion from these channels, just a search result), th-cam.com/video/ROhj1276oeU/w-d-xo.htmlsi=CLVm-07hx25LWTeo and th-cam.com/video/BIb1RWt9UFs/w-d-xo.htmlsi=GtOtPsmbUWaSN6D6
That might be a VA question, but I'm not trained as a VA navigator. Outside of that, there might be services near you that can answer that question. Try the website findhelp.org, which I showed how to use in this video (not a promotion; I'm just impressed with the level of information available for free): th-cam.com/video/Vf8NDBQRKwE/w-d-xo.html
Sadly none are available from men and women who only served in the National Guards of their home states. This especially true of those never activated for deployment.
There might be some local services available to you. There is a website with a long list of services in your area, based on your zip code. It's free to use. I did a complete walkthrough the entire process in this video, th-cam.com/video/Vf8NDBQRKwE/w-d-xo.html
We dont know about them because most of us dont qualify for them because of some small print and red tape. Its not simple and is made to be complicated as hell.
I found this information from FEMA: Voluntary organizations are providing free disaster clean up services, such as tarping roofs, clearing fallen trees, and mold remediation. Call the Crisis Cleanup hotline at 1-844-965-1386 to request assistance. There is more information at www.usa.gov/hurricane-helene
Wounded Warrior has been discriminating against disabled veterans. I called then 2 days ago and was told they only help veterans that are 100% disabled

Lol, though I am watching the same video, nobody is going to grant you money. I went and got several degrees focused on standing up a business specifically so that I knew I could be successful at it. Then spent a year looking for ways to round up financing to stand it up. The only result I came up with was loans that you would have to levy twice the value of the loan. Grants nor loans don't exist unless you already have enough funding that you don't need the money. Makes lots of sense right?
I totally get your frustration. Grants are maybe the most competitive form of funding, whether they’re from government or private funds. Should I work on a video that discusses that?
@grantchatter there is no point because grants, money to use towards starting a business, do not exist. An off topic example from a vet point of view. When I left the army, my plan, my backup all the way to my backups backups backup all failed. I begged every single organization the exists for vets for help to save my house. I had a job that payed fair within 6 months of getting out, but the damage was already done and I lost everything. My house, my car, my tools ( I was a mechanic ) all of my belongings, everything. Not one " veteran assistance " organization wanted to lift a finger. They take people's money in donations and never help a single soul. " grants " are nothing more than a money laundering scheme. Those that have money protect it via " donations, grants and foundations " used as tax write offs but the money goes to predetermined recipients. You can only get " grants " and loans if you already exist as a profitable business. I even tried highering a "grant writer" so that i could get what i needed in a flexible manner on more than 1 industry. My statement stands.
I saw your other comment. For immediate help, can you call 211? Operators will connect you to local services, and they’re trained on services for veterans and their families.
