What an absolutely perfect and heart-felt response Bryce..I am sure that you have spoken for many people who are experiencing what you are....I too had to really dig deep to find peace in this season. One thing that literally changed my perspective this season was when my grandson got quarantined on Dec 23 for 7 days...it reminded me of how felt when I heard the news of the World Trade Centers in 2001..I could hardly breathe, I couldn't speak, I couldn't feel..I just sat there in my truck and tried to comprehend what I was hearing...forward to my grandson being quarantined...it seemed as my life just stopped, nothing else mattered, not the gifts, not the Christmas dinner, not the decorations,,,all that mattered was when I will see my grandson again. He is my life. My second blessing only to my daughter who is my first. I listened to The Piano Guys and Libera (another favorite of mine) throughout the whole time my grandson was away...I was able to find some peace, but wasn't whole again...not until New Years Day- when I got to see and hug my grandson again...at that exact point in time, I realized ....just what is important.
Emmanuel means "God with us". Jesus born to save us from our sinful nature. I pray for those who do not know Him that He will Come To Them in thisChristmas season.

Hearing this video brought tears to my eyes. It's been seven years since my mother passed away, 2 days before Christmas 2013. When I was small, and she still played the piano, she would often play this song. It's what got me into playing piano myself. Hearing this made me think of her all over again. I tend to be a practical person, so in that moment I would have brought clothing and necessities. I like to think that after arriving at the stable, I would sense the awesome awareness of God's presence and give Him all my worship.

My grandfather was in the Tabernacle Choir (when it was still called the Mormon Tabernacle Choir) and one of their travels was to Jerusalem. One of the places they got to sing at was where the Angel Gabriel appeared to the shepherds. He realized then that he and many of us were there before, as the singing angels that rejoiced when Christ was born. 💕✨
