Wow Cat looks like you had an amazing time so much fun especially if are are kitted correctly for the camp 🏕️, keep smiling looking forward to more of your adventures ❤
Great stuff Cat, loved the bit where you put the meal inside your jacket, who needs a water bottle 😆...Wow the amount of snow, i was expecting to see penguins waddling past at one point, Tent held up well Cat, nice cuppa and defrost them toes when you get home. Great video 👍
You can lower your tent by shortening all the tent poles by 4 or 5 centimetres. Use a small pipe cutter from a hardware store - the type used for cutting copper pipe. Once the socket end is cut free, flatten it with pliers and it will break apart and you don't need to remove the elastic connection cords.
Nice snow camp Cat 😊 i 2nd the foam on the floor of the tent, it makes such a difference in winter 👌 thanks for the shout out, although i didn't have as much snow i side as you, it was still way too much, hope Henry Shires sees both our videos 😳 I'm the same when camping exhilarated, exited and relaxed at the same time, but most of my mates think I'm crazy 🤣🤣🤣 catch you soon, atb Paul 🙏🏕🏕🏕😁
All the best people are a little crazy! I'll send the vid to Henry in couple of days and see what he says. I've posted it on the tarp tent owners group too 😉
Wow, doesn't it all look so beautiful. Keeping safe is important but you had such a mischievous look obviously enjoying your thrilling adventure. Thanks for sharing. 🥰
As long as you had fun and stayed safe enough! Winter tents are more than just a name as you learnt. Always amazed to see people out in lightweight (1.5-3kg) tents on mountains in the snow. No one wants to carry the weight until you get cold, wet, or blown away! Sleep well with confidence in a strong winter snow capable tent.
@Wild.cat.adventures Usually when they say that, they mean it can handle some snow loading, which a 3 season tent usually cannot. That plus a mostly solid internal fabric qualifies as a winter or snow tent. But it's really only suitable for unexpected light snow in low wind conditions. My serious alpine 3 person tent is 6.5 kgs, but my mild winter condition 3 person is 2.7kgs. Both winter tents but for radically different conditions. Anyway, cool video, have fun!!!
I live in N.W. Pennsylvania U.S.A. , we had four feet of snow in two days at the end of November ! It was crazy ! My sons RV got crushed from the snow that fell off our roof.
I'm working on a couple of projects that may interest you - the first is hi viz camouflage for people that can't decide whether they want to be seen or not and the second is a hand held gps that when it is switched on an arrow points to the ground and on screen it says you are here - highly accurate !
@@Wild.cat.adventures Aye i know. When I was a kid we used to get on the 24 bus to The Peak District from where i lived and we could walk around all day and barely see anyone. Its completely saturated now, and especially since Covid. Just look at how worn most of the paths are thats a fair indication. I have a half dozen spots that I like to go where there are few people and I keep them to me sen.
Nice video Cat. I hot tent camped the last two weekends. Learning how to best use my tent stove. Up until this year, I just used my very cold weather gear for snow camping. I do suggest wool longjohns, the keep you warm, even if wet. Stay safe and have fun.
Hi Cat, what’s going on 🤪have you girls all gone crazy (in the nicest way) I’ve just watched your video which came up after I had watched Girl Outdoors doing a similar thing. Beautiful scenery, I love it when you go out just after the snow had fallen. When are you coming up to Scotland? 😊x
Think I'd have preferred some rain, to that abominable snow, man...YET I still had fun watching.... (Did ya see what I did there? 🙄🤣) All corny jokes aside, that looked like an epic camp. Well done Cat.
You wanna save some dosh on ya grub.. buy some foil sealed bags & put a tin of ya fave nosh in it. Tastes nicer & more nourishing than those rip off pre-made jobbies. You can also wash the bag out & use again.
I have enjoyed all of your videos... but this one even more so! If you are ever on the opposite side of the pond (mid-eastern USA), look me up. I would love to go on an adventure with You. Stay safe and Thank You!
We survived! 💪 Great video, glad I didn’t scupper your plans too much! I had some snow trying to join the party too, was a great camp though. Nice to meet & chat with you 😊

True, I'd rather it was designed like that in the first place tho!

It's supposed to be designed for the snow but I shall be having words with Mr Shires!
