With today's smartphone accessories (smartwatches), it never ceases to amaze me when one has a closer look at the engineering involved with a mechanical chronograph. What a lovely timepiece.
I got my first watch in 1984, my dad gave me a Lanco, think I was 12 years old. Still have it, running after all these years. Used to go to sleep with the tick tick sound and always knew that it was something special. Not only the gift but the "thinking behind it, little wonder on my arm. Love your videos, takes me back to when I was young.

As soon as those blued hands were revealed I knew this one was going to be good, and I was not disappointed. I have an obsessive love of these old 1940's chronos!
Tremendous, well done and how lucky to be able to obtain spares for this model. Took a Jaeger 7 jewel car clock out of my brothers 1938 Fiat 500 Topolino in the early '60's. My father showed me how it all worked, unfortunately, the (pre shock proof) escapement pintles had failed and it gave correct time twice a day! However I do remember how well it was made.
Impressive job on the balance wheel !! Well done Mate ! As always, a great of pleasure to watch your restoration : educative and enjoyable ;) Thank you so much !!
Very nice work, just some advices you can remove the brown/ black stains on plate and bridges with brasso or silvo and a smooth toothbrush then a deep clean to remove it. And I use to put the base movement on timegrapher to be sure if there something wrong at the end that is not the base movement but the complication.
Thanks for the tip. I put the movement on the timegrapher after assembling the base movement. I just don’t show it in the video. I will try the product next time
