It´s weird that i believe this type of more "action" gameplay fits more to the series than the turns RPG? The only thing i miss from the RPGs are the Supers and EXE animations.
They can still include them. Would really make the combat better. The biggest issue I had was the lack of weight to your attacks. You never feel like you’re hitting anything.
I actually enjoyed the game more so than any of their other neptunia games, I just wish it was a challenge so 4 players could actually come together to beat areas. If only they updated the game and made it super hard

Also, by downloading the four pieces, they could be using the "Foot-in-the-Door Technique," which works by getting somebody to say "yes," to a small request or to a favor about (Product X), at which point people tend to label themselves as "down with (Product X), and then, when a larger request is posed, as "Self-Perception Theory" explains, we tend to look back at our past behavior, regarding (Product X), if our attitudes are inaccessible from memory, to infer our attitudes about it. If we look back and remember we'd downloaded DLC for it, we'll assume we had developed a positive attitude toward it, thereby making it significantly more likely to purchase it. That's all Robert Cialdini stuff, except Self-Perception Theory, which he uses to explain the way the influence technique works. Shit like that comes to my mind, when such marketing questions are asked, having taught it for 15 years...
ps. on PS4 Pro latest system update frame rate was stable and I had no major glitches or crashes. European version tho so it's likely it has been patched before release. Then yep loading times are ehm... hard to forget. After the boot up tho no more loading screens!
This was one of the better spinoffs, but wow I've never had lag or not being able to move glitch (the AI was just derpy sometimes) on ps4, but I didn't play it online.

I doubt they will release any DLC since well they haven't and were in January now. So apart from Cat Suits that's it. I enjoy the game however I wish that compile heart had tackled this instead of Tamsoft. I hated VS Zombies but loved Action Unleashed I'm pleased for me it's more like AU than Zombie. But I kinda wish the controls were more fine tuned. Like targeting IMO once u clicked R1 and a group attacks you it should just skip to each target until there Dead instead of you constantly having to to press R1. Also would of been nice if the reserve characters got exp as well, not just the main party. None of my reserve get exp. But yeah liked this but loved VII more so if anyone looks for a nep on PS4 to play I suggest VII first then Cyber

Nice Review. Performance on the PS4 Pro is not much better. Haven't tried boost mode yet. Sometimes it runs smooth, other times I have to reload the map to fix stuttering. It seems to get better when more enemies are defeated. Loading time from PS4 menu to in-game menu is 3 minutes and 10 seconds.
I upgraded everything, weapons and armor, I completed 100% quests, bought every item (99/99, 15/15 & 2/2) opened every chest, on level 160 on most characters, I'm waiting on going up until level 200 cause I think that's the max level before I can start new game plus and hoping I can unlock more outfits in the maps or the shops in new game plus, also the "issue" with being stuck from any boss, you press menu/pause and don't have to switch characters to continue fighting, yeah here's my question should I wait to reach max level to start new game plus? Please reply
Idek if I unlocked every outfit cause I think the Neptune outfit/ noire outfit/ blanc outfit/ vert outfit are in new game plus idk yet cause I opened every chest, picked every glowing item, beat all the bosses, and collected every item, made up to 7 million bells/money's, yeah idk if I was sopose to unlock the original outfits for the characters cause idk what's new game plus about
Does each class have different traits and stats than the others? Ex: neptune being a paladin and having more hp and def Uni being a thief so like good dmg high dps? Or are they all the same pretty much
Hey there! A very random comment on such an old vid I'm sure but I wanted to comment on a more relevant post to what I was going to express/ask. Basically I wanted to ask which games between Megadimension VII, 4GO and Super Neptunia RPG should I get? I've watched all your reviews for these games respectively but in recent times with all three of these games being on sale right now on PS4 and my funds limited I wanted an opinion of one who very much delved into all these games. For context I'm not new to the Neptunia in playing both the 1st and 3rd Remakes on the Vita though those were years ago. Enjoyable experiences for sure but now that I have a console any of these would be my first console Neptunia experience. From what I understand VII is more akin to what Ive experienced from Neptunia so far which does not sound bad at all. Though in turn 4GO and SNRPG are completely different from the norm so to speak. They both looked interesting with SNRPG looking the least interesting to me but by no means bad. I feel I can't go wrong with VII as it's just a similar enhanced experience of what I've played but quite intrigued by 4GO for it's visuals and gameplay as well. If I had to get one at this very moment with these variables in mind what would you recommend? You can of course give your opinion in an "either or" manner as well should you find the need or willingness to. Sorry for asking a question like this when you've got thorough reviews of all these games but I just want a more recent opinion is all so sorry for the trouble should you see this post and thanks in advance! 😉
A Proper Neptunia RPG with action based combat would KILL IT. I do not like spending money on micro transactions, but that one would get me. Give it to me. With all the weebs out there, the game would be a hit
I hate the fact that there's a bug where no accessories or costumes can be bought only hair colors. Also my game has crashed twice. I've even had an enemy get stuck out of bounds Still like the game though i have almost gotten the platinum medal
Meanwhile with Ys VIII... I would have said the same thing as you though. I think it's a developer issue, they just don't invest in optimization like they used to.
I am at level 50 and well... it's a spin off in the same vein as Neptunia U but it's on ps4 with bells and whistles. For how I see it, it's meant to raise money after the switch to Unreal Engine. For new Neptunia players tho buy Neptunia VII without thinking twice! That's a little gem while this is a mediocre byproduct.. in my opinion the weakest in the series after VS Zombies. After all Neptunia is 50% game and 50% novel. Writing here is decent (but we expected "brilliant") and gameplay is ok but not Senran Kagura ok. Makes u laugh at times tho...
I can't get into this game From start up that 5 minute loading screen that im thinking is 100% fake but still unskippable. They go so hard for a gimmick a MMO without any online but fake the loading screens the hell?

Apparently the closed beta for the Steam version is starting in a few days. One can only hope they can fix some of the performance issues.
I feel this game could be a great way to make a real time mainline Neptunia. It does feel like a test of the formula of sorts.
Especially since this is what Vert plays. I barely started on it and I can see why she grinds on the game so much, lol.😆💚

What about the on the PS4 Pro? I’ve been thinking on buying this game but with all the lag and glitchy content, I don’t really know if should.
I can't quite put my finger on it... but something about the cutscenes in this game feels less stiff than what came before previously.

Neptunia games having terrible controls is very annoying. Mouse and keyboard is the suprime way to control your character in a videogame.
I wish this game was on the Nintendo Switch because it uses the unreal engine 4 and that's what this game uses.
