YES IK. i feel as when netflix has an LGBTQ+ that's their ONLY personality trait. they always make them so obvious and wear rainbow everywhere, and showing pride is good but that being your ONLY thing just makes it so pointless.

I have to say, at first i didnt even recognise that Jules is a transwoman and thats what i like about it. Jules is definitely original and extraordinery character. She represents something new, fresh and dynamic to our culture and to TV as well!! I LOVE IT! And i dont know why but she is so attractive for me and when she on screen i have to look just on her.

,@@holifae Honestly I think she was more trying to say that Jules is a fully "fleshed out" character whose role in the series isn't limited to just their identity, which is common in depictions of GSRM characters. Being trans is just a detail, not her whole character...
pixie posse I think they just meant that they showed her holistic identity as opposed to making her only identity being trans. It integrates better into the show and does more justice to her character and the trans community. And her saying she’s super attracted to her for some reason doesn’t mean she’s attracted to her in spite of being trans. Just that some people have this sort of magnetism that you can’t look away, and anyone no matter cis, trans passing for cis, trans in general, etc. can have that.

Nate is a complex character. His Interaction with Jules showed many sides to him. Because he was the sweet/nice "Tyler", but at the same time he was the sinister/scary Nate that we've seen. Their dynamic will be interesting going forward. Great work by Hunter and Jacob.

To be honest. I thought she was cis. That’s why I dig this character so much. They didn’t try to SHOVE the trans on us. Very subtle and classy
I would love to see trans people play cis and I have nothing against cis people playing trans (except more jobs for trans people) because actually “pretending” is literally acting. I think when people play different roles it helps better understand each other

Am I the only one who didn’t realize jules was trans right away? I love that that wasn’t the first thing we learned about her and her character. She’s stunning and hunter is an incredible actress. This is a life changing show.

Did anyone notice the music in the episode? It really felt like a pantomime or stage play where each event happens on stage and the music helps push the narrative along. And it also helped that the entire episode took place at the carnival so each scene was connected.

Hunter’s facial expressions in some scenes are just wow, the acting (at least for now) seems on point. The look of disgust she gives Nate at the party for the first time is hard to put into words.

I just wanted to thank you for what you stand for. I feel like a few years ago I didn’t understand gay or trans people and I couldn’t see why they would do that. Lately I know that love is love and it doesn’t matter in what ways that may reveal itself. I just feel like I can finally appreciate beauty and I’m happy for anyone else who is happy.

Hunter is doing a phenomenal job playing Jules! I’m so curious to see where the storyline with Jules and Nate ends up. By far the most interesting and complex plot line in the show!
Each Sunday I come back to see if they’re gonna end up together. This show is phenomenal there’s no doubt in me that’s it’s going to win awards.
Hunter and Zendaya are such epic forces of nature, that watching them together is so right!

The vocabulary and precision with which she explains Jules is impressive enough…I have even more respect for her
Hands down the most honest and raw show I have ever watched. These themes are real life for a lot of us, and to see them played out so well on TV says a lot about how well the writers and producers actually take note of teenage/young adults and what they may encounter.

When the first 5 minutes of episode 4 started I bawled. To hear her story and relate to it so much... it hit so deep. I have rarely cried since I started transitioning because all I tell myself is to stay strong, ignore the hate. But a person can only take so much for so long before they break. Its so nice to see something fresh when it comes to representing us, and I really appreciate HBO being so raw and unapologetic about it. It makes me feel less alone. Can't wait for the rest of the season, something tells me more tears are coming!
When young jules was described as scratching the nurse then instantly feeling guilty was such a heartbreaking moment but REALLY describes how caring Jules character is.
her character is a breath of fresh air, i just watched the show this past week, and fell in love with it, in my late 30s.
I love Jules. She is the icing on the cake for this show.
Hunter is a revelation as an actor, amazing that this is her first acting gig. She's gone beyond channeling her own life experiences, she's simply a natural. Kudos. And she is definitely the most interesting character on Euphoria (sorry Zendaya). I'm already waiting for her next big role…

Idk what it is about her but I just related to Jules SO much, I may not be transgender or meet up with strangers in motels but I understand her desire to almost "level up" like her thinking "if I can conquer men I can conquer femininity" and I relate to that ngl those feelings of wanting to be loved and to be enough of anything. Plus, her style, personality, and overall dreams for more than the suburbs is relatable.

Nate and Jules might continue and see what happens because Nate is soft and sweet with Jules and she is patient but that's in secret and behind a screen if they spend more time together in person and he brings out that sweet side again and she teaches him real love then their relationship will thrive
