  • For this quick tip, we'll answer the question “How can you combine sketches in Fusion 360?”
The first way to combine sketches in Fusion 360 is to copy and paste
one sketch into another. For example, if you have two sketches you would like to combine, select the first sketch and copy to your clipboard. Now you can edit your second sketch and select paste.
You'll notice that while most of the constraints and dimensions are maintained you'll still need to add additional constraints to fully constrain the sketch entities you just added.
The second way to combine sketches is to use the project command to project the sketch entities from the first sketch into the second.

Not helpful. You explained what to do but not how to do it. Every one of your videos just brings more questions. e.g now I need to google for "project" and how to use it. 👎👎

Just like ALWAYS with Autodesk, this does not work. Nothing works in Fusion. You get what you pay for. I've called Autodesk for support a bunch of times, but every time they ask what product I've purchased, and when I tell them I use the free version it's always the same thing, "oh, we have lots of online resources for you to check" and a flat out refusal to help me. One time after complaining a lot I got someone to give me a phone number of someone who supposedly would help me, but I just got an answering machine. I left my info but never got a call back. There's a reason why all professional MEs use Solid Works, and all professional EEs use Altium. That reason is Autodesk SUCKS!
EDIT! Ha I'm an idiot, I did get it to work! Sorry, I was frustrated. But I was serious about the customer service. That needs to improve.

No one would ever consider that cut+paste = combine. The only interesting part is the last few seconds where you do the projection, but most of the time you don't want to individually select sketch elements to project, you want to project an entire sketch.

I would like to extrude few partial surfaces from different sketches that intersect each other. How do I do that?
Should I combine the sketches first?

It would be amazing to actually see where the Project command is located.

Neither of these options are working for me, not sure what I'm doing wrong

Why doesn't Autodesk implement a command for merging sketches the easy way? Always abstract thinking behind Fusion 360. If we have choose sketches in browser and merge it would be much easier. But I suspect that their "infamous" timeline would not allow it.

Good information. Is it possible to copy elements of a sketch from one project to different project? I’ve been unable to find a way to do this.

Terrible demonstration. "Just do this..." completely misses the several steps needed before and after. Not one bit of this works
