    @16:25 I totally agree.
Naan is overrated. Tandoori Roti is also not the best option, but it's just popular as the north indian restaurants have them. The most healthy one is Phulka roti, and the Tawa Paratha is relatively tastier, fancier version of Phulka Roti.
The layered Plain Wheat Tawa Paratha is the best option (which is healthy, as well as tasty, fancy to some extent).... When it comes to Indian breads for regular consumption.
Ofc Stuffed wheat parathae are also really tasty, but not all are healthy kind, for regular consumption.
Methi roti is the best among the stuffed parathae and of course the paneer Paratha, Palak Paratha, Gobi paratha r are healthy stuffed Parathae (with minimum Ghee).
Aloo Paratha is also very tasty, but not as healthy for regular consumption.
And for those people who have a perception that Indian curries are all gravies. They are wrong. Indian cusine have dry fry curries, semi-dry mushy curries, semi gravy curries and Gravy curries. We also have different categories of curries, like vegetable/paneer/nonVeg/mixed curries, lentil(pulses) curries called Dal, Different types of lentil based liquid Sambars with so many different variations and varieties, we have the rasams which are soupy, savoury, spicy liquids (are with rice), we also have stews, and many more variations of these. And the taste palette for each of the different curries is completely different and also the taste profile varies from region to region for the same type of dish. Even many homes have their own ancestral special recipes unique to them. And of course the curries vary from sweet, mellow, salty, sour, wide range of combinations of spices (not hot chilly specifically), and to the other extreme... Actually spicy stuff that makes us sweaty and teary while eating. And each of them are uniquely designed to be eaten withba specific type of Bread or rice/grains, based on the local culture and staple, but one can always experiment and find their own favourite combinations by exploring the wide variety of options available... Especially as shown in this Thali.
Anyway... Also, those who says what cusines vegetarians have or who say vegetarian is boring or bland or uninteresting, THEY MUST WATCH THIS VIDEO.

As someone whos been in Pune for 10 years now, this place is actually a great melting pot of all the types of Maharashtrian food from at least the 300km radius of the city. Its obvious that the taste gets a bit off as you go far out if the radius, but the misal, sabudana, parathas and thalis are probably the best around here and have their own unique tastes.
For asking for recommendations of different types, best place is to ask most university students or the ones who have just started working. Indians love their food lol.

As a result, we feel really glad to taste foods from different states and countries but also enjoy every culture. Language is not a problem here, Marathi, English, Hindi and every language is spoken so living, travelling, working is absolute breeze. It’s a city with a lot of young people and it has everything one needs. We love South Indian, Maharashtrian breakfast, Punjabi Lunch, Bengali Sweets, Gujarati snacks, and even confit food from Europe, Asia and America. You should definitely check it out.

Raw mango pickle is common in Pune Mumbai all over statr of Maharashtra its a stapel side dish sort but not side dish its just add taste to the food. Its served in the simplest to the most exotic restraunts. Top of it is not charged. In India pickle made out of almost everything. Chilly lemon gish etc however it is specific to the local places you are having food.

There is a misconception that all indian foods are heavy and rich but that's not true at all.
If you look at South indian food, it's probably dead opposite to this.
Foods in south are usually fermented and light, curries are mainly water based and not thick and creamy like the northern gravies , etc etc
And then you have the north eastern states with their own unique cuisines which are pretty interesting too
The differences are completely different from state to state

Every time I see indian portions I get reminded of the Lion who ate rocks and drowned in the well. Business-wise they could sell smaller portions and earn more than the plates that is overfilled of food.

FAQ: There are 2 types of red chilli powder we find in India...
    1. 'Degi mirch' red chilli powder which is for adding spiceness in the food.
    2. 'Kashmir' red chilli powder which is for adding the colour in the food instead of spiceness.
