that is the motivation you have when you come from another language. watching english movies without subs, talking to people online regardless if they're english or not. because the chances that they speak english are high. it feels really good when you speak someone in another language other than your mother tongue even if you're bad at it. because it feels like an unexplored area for you.
Her western loveliness probably helps a lot too. She might have watched a lot of western to notice an accent and such. Also, google translator accent might help her with that.

And after that, I watched several of her videos and stumbled upon her Monster Rancher 2 playthrough, and that was when I really came to love her. I had an amazing time watching her during that playthrough even though I didn't understand most of what she was saying.
