well it was definetly merles fault, he got himself cuffed to a pole for basically committing a hate crime, beating the guy half to death, but its still crazy to think they would expect Daryl to choose them over his brother

I think they did Daryl dirty here. Their look of surprise when Daryl annouced he was leaving because they wont accept his brother.. Did they really expect that Daryl would just abandon his own flesh and blood for their figurative family? Would Maggie do that to Beth? Merle is an ass, Daryl cant deny that, but Daryl isn't and he didnt deserve to have to be forced to choose between the group and his own brother...

It’s his brother you’ve gone missing for a year and both brothers have been looking for each other, Daryl did the right thing going with Merle. Blood is thicker than water regardless of what shit has bonded you and strangers together in a zombie apocalypse! We should have had more scenes of the Dixons together
