When I received the DVLA letter I suspected what was all about and dreading filling the application thinking I have to provide medical documentation etcetera. But watching your video and preparing all the documentations ready at hand, it took me less than the duration of your video to confidently complete once and for all, after postponing for few weeks. Heartful thanks for your assistance and MERRY CHRISTMAS.🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄
I would like to thank you immensely, without your help I would have been lost filling the forms online as there was the step just after the organ donation request which was a bit unclear but you have explained everything (fool proof way, no disrespect to anyone) so a million thanks and God bless.
after you have received your new licence, you need to check item 4b for the expiry of the new licence. to enjoy driving afterward, you need to reapply in good time.
I will become 70 in December later this year. I have gained an additional category by getting a motorcycle CBT. I intend to pass my full bike licence (A) before I get to 70, but possibly after i apply for my renewal. How would this work?
Not sure if you can help or not but mum had to surrender her licence about 5 years ago on renewal because of a deteriorating eye condition. Shes been having eye injections for several years and now one eye is sorted but the other is peripheral vision only. She wants to get her licence back. Is this the form she needs? Cheers
Hi Steve, thanks for your question. I found some information that may be able to assist, hope it helps: www.gov.uk/reapply-driving-licence-medical-condition/when-you-can-start-driving-again
I have done this form online for my mum. She has lost her driving licence. If I am renewing for her does it matter that there is no old licence to send back
Hi Mally. Thanks for your question. You can apply by post using the D46P application form. DVLA will automatically send you this form 90 days before your 70th birthday. Use the D1 application for a driving licence form if you haven’t got the D46P form. You can pick one up at most Post Offices. Your driving licence should arrive in 3 weeks. It might take longer if your medical or personal details need to be checked. Source: www.gov.uk/renew-driving-licence-at-70#:~:text=You%20can%20apply%20by%20post,up%20at%20most%20Post%20Offices.
if you are 70 i think ... you should not have to renew your license ,,if your eye sight is good and you have not had any accidents ,, that's it money making government scam
If your not fit to drive after 70 without renewing your licence then the government should not expect you to work up to near 70 birthday, there saying where fit to work so why hasn't the driving age been raised accordingly 😂😂

Thanks very clear
Thanks for watching Pawana. Glad the video helped you. 👍
Hi, does it start from the date you apply, or from when your current license runs out. ie. a day before your 70th birthday. Thanks.
Hi. It usually starts from when the application is processed by DVLA

I have made two attempts to renew my over 70s license but every time I get to the
Licence No. I get stuck. What can I do.
Hi Richard. It could be a glitch on the DVLA's side. Best to get in contact with them here: www.gov.uk/contact-the-dvla
If i just get a new car licence and let my minibus and 7.5ton lorry licence lapse, can i still drive my car and tow a trailer please?
