Great video pal. I just received my new o rings and thanks to your video, I will be doing this myself soon. You just saved me from having someone replace the actuators with new ones. Thank you very much
Thanks for taking the time to show us the adjusted process!! I was envisioning my first cylinder to be much like yours having never seen any of the internal workings!! Much appreciated!
Great video. Thanks so much. Inside the actuator it seems to have a second place for 2 o rings. That's what I did, I put 2. I haven't tried it yet. Do you think this will create a problem or really solves the leak problem?
Hard to say...normally I'd say that if it needed the extra o-rings, they would have put them there originally. But in this case, as long as the inside of the tube is smooth and there's no interference, maybe it's ok. Let me know when you get a chance to try it out!
@@destructure00 My issue was that at the local dealership they were asking me 69 euros for 2 o rings. So I put another 2 of the same from my collection and as I said so far it works very well. Thanks for your reply.
@@FENIA3648 Mine are leaking again after 1 year. I ordered the o-rings from the link provided and they seam to be from China. They must be low quality. I was thinking of putting on 2 o-rings as you stated. Has it worked well for you? I am worried it will be hard for the pump to operate the actuator with the extra o-ring.
@@destructure00 I don't recall seeing it leaking. I know I got the boat last year, fluid was good and dark red like it should be. A little while into the season the fluid looked more pink. I thought maybe the level was low, but when I went to put more fluid in, it wasn't low. I asked a couple friends about the fluid being pink instead of red and they didn't seem too worried about it. Just getting it ready for the season now and I see one is still is pink color, and the other is barely pink at all, instead it's clear (basically water) and now I know something is wrong. So it's not so much an issue of only losing the good fluid that was in it, but it seems to be sucking in water somehow.
@@jackoff1826 the way the springs inside the actuators are pushing the ram into the body and trying to force fluid out, I think it's more likely that a bad seal would cause a fluid leak than water into the fluid, but if you run with the tabs retracted a lot I could potentially see water getting in. Leave the tabs extended with the boat out of the water for a few days and see if they retract on their own, or if you see a fluid leak. Also worth checking all the hydraulic line connections inside the boat for leaks too, and maybe extract some of the fluid to see if the water separates from the ATF.
Ich finde nirgendwo angaben zu den Maßen der O-Ringe. Kann mir da jemand was dazu sagen. Ich möchte ungerne erst ausbauen und dann die passenden Ringe kaufen gehen. I can't find any information about the dimensions of the O-rings anywhere. Can someone tell me something about that. I don't want to remove it first and then go buy the right rings.
I bought a kit on eBay for about $15. Here's the link to the one I bought....I'm not affiliated with this seller in any way. www.ebay.com/itm/183766952641

No problem, happy to share my experience and learnings with others!
You Sir, are a HERO with no CAPE.
Great video! Based on this, I did a successful seal replacement. Many thanks!

Excactly what I was looking for, thank you.
Nice work!! Need to do mine on our 292 soon.

Hi, thanks for the video, do you know the sizes of these o-rings?
I don't know the actual sizes, but here's where I got them www.ebay.com/itm/183766952641
Nice video, thanks
Great job- Where did you get the seals? I don't find them on their web site
I got them on eBay. Here's the direct link to the one I bought, but I'm sure there's others as well.

I have water getting into my trim tab reservoir, would this be the reason and fix needed?
It's a possibility. Do you see any fluid leaking out of the pistons?
