I think there's a real chance that I've played sinister deal more than any other player. Most people considered it bad, but I played it in pretty much every single warlock deck while it was in standard, and it always way overperformed. My timeline might be off, but I feel like you always wanted access to 1-mana minions for grimoire and plague of flames, and you'd often be floating a little mana in the early turns anyway.
Lackeys needed the generate a spell Lackey to give spells that buffed Lackeys instead of random spells. The summon a two cost Lackey should have generated a card that specifically generated more lackeys and the dragon lackey should have generated the legendary warlock lackey buff card, the infinite lackey card and the rogue lackey card once per game like etc does if you are able to copy or bounce it.
Flare certainly hasn't been LACKing on content, keep it up man 💪

Ngl, I think lackeys are quite nice addition, it didn't feel that overpowered. The thing that made it utter bs was the rogue galakrond hero power.

Lackeys got weaker as random value got weaker in wild
Decks just smorc you down or have big combos
I do miss playing miscreant in odd rogue tho
