Yes, that was a nice addition. Looks like Sam will be popping on and off until the next campaign. So it keeps the table at the 7, and Robbie is quite entertaining. He still has that amazement of realizing things for the first time, and then turning it around into a good spin.

Doarin: my brother died just like 24 hours ago, one of my best friends got possessed and mutated by a god. Another friend pretty much just surrendered her freedom to the gods to go into a fight none of us have any clue about. Surely things can't get any more distressing

It is truly impossible to have a Portable Hole in a D&D campaign without the players making jokes about it EVERY TIME it is mentioned.
My friends still joke about mine, seven years and two whole campaigns later. The DM has not allowed us to find another one since. Probably for the best.

@@davidparkes7741 Dead bodies? Very few. But there were living bodies moving in and out of there constantly. Which may have had a lot to do with the quantity of crude jokes.

They haven't cleaned it once since the start of the campaign. That thing is covered in 6 months worth of decomposing sludge.
