😂😂. I am a Swift fan, I regularly travel on weekends from Limpopo to Gauteng. I was unfortunate to lose my swift GLX in an accident and after driving the Polo GT 2014 model, all I can say is I would pick the Swift all day everyday. Only problem is in the steep slopes otherwise we Swifting all the way. Great content, Muzi.
My sister is planning to buy her first car and I have been recommending this car because of you my brother and I told her to subscribe on your page and video is great because she wants a small car for 200k or less, will drive from GP to KZN and back maybe 3 times in a year.
I drove a Swift from Kimberley to De Aar, that's about 3 hours max and from De Aar to Bloemfontein via R48 and that's about 4 hours max and 1 full tank plus R300 refill. It was a smooth drive. That's when I realized Suzuki is on its own lane.
Which is Suzuki swift Manual? Ey man tell me here, when you start the car, do you need accelerator and clutch balance to move it? Or just clutch balance it?. I was doing my lessons, I did one with old Kia picanto, and only needed to balance clutch only to move it, then I did it with old Tata Indica, I needed Clutch and accelerator balance in order to move without switching off.
I'd recommend 195/50/15, ive had them since 2019 though ive changed due to wear but they have a sportish look, well balanced on curves and aren't too low for road noise and comfort.
First time commitment to your show, I like the way uchaza ngakhona. Sengifunde okuningi about cars, cause for me, bengishaya ukhiye ngihambe, okunye nokunye, angizingeni. Thank you, keep up the good work
Nice video. For me personally as a person living in Gauteng, a car needs to comfortably do 160km/hr. Driving slow isn't always the safest thing, you need something snappy to overtake people who can't brake properly.
Am one of the people you made buy a swift. I never imagined in my wildest dreams I will buy this brand but thanks to you. SWIFT SA they owe you big time they even increased the prices on the 1st of Nov.
Thanks for this Muzi, it came at a perfect time. I was planning to hire this car for a trip from Cape Town to Butterworth, now I know what to expect, it is going to be a long trip.
Leave a message when you go pass Jbay mkhaya, on your way to Gcuwa.. December ill be working and mostly at night be on the N2 near Mentorskraal doing blue lights patrol 😊have a safe trip mfo
I had the privilege of driving Suzuki Swift as a car hire a few times, I first had it driving to Port Alfred from Johannesburg & back, I must say for it's size and engine capacity, it gave such an amazing & comfortable drive, unexpected from the car it's size. Had different cars for hire, and in between, there would be a swift, I must say it's not a bad car for it's size and performance, also very good on fuel, now my personal take for your Cape Town trip is, travel in it as is, no change of Tyre size, those are perfectly fine as they are, for as long as they are in good condition, just go for it, only your normal service, and that's it. Bigger tyres may affect handling on the road, which may be uncomfortable
Great content, chief. 👌 Great fuel saving vehicle. If it wasn't for potholes, given the stability complaint, I'd go with a 16 inch and play with the tyre profile. You can use the tyre websites to check by how much you can upsize without impacting the speedometer readings.
Muzi Thank you bro. I watched all your videos on my movie day. To up your watch hours & whatever else to contribute in this page growing. It helps us who are clueless about cars. When my colleagues & I argue about cars I quote one of your videos & It works all the time. Try uploading each month of possible please. 😢
The 185/65 15 on the swift sport it's perfect brother, the apolo brand that comes with car hugs the road like glue even in the rain...I got my car for 2 years now, the tyres are still going fine like day I bought it
I drive a cx5 changed my stock 255/65R17 to 265/65R17 best decision ever. The handling has improved drastically . Im just not sure if anything happens on the road the insurance company might play hide & seek with my claims since u know how they have all the excuses in the world to tell you why everything is your fault n why they can’t pay.
I just purchased this car, thank you to muzi for the advice. If i may add, i noticed this car has an aluminum thermostat housing, which is great, it seems to be a very similar design to the toyota tazz engine, most of the parts are very simple and basic in design , i did notice alot of plastic tho, which i suppose is common in all cars today at every price point, however the critical components seem to be well built, i didnt notice a power steering pump, so i dont know how the power steering works? May be electric power steering? It has a front stabilizer bar which is awesome for handling. The clutch slave cylinder is plastic, seems like a strong plastic but it will clearly fail around the 50000-100000km mark, the tappet cover is plastic and a host of other plastic parts. The car is great, the GL comes with an upgraded sound system, i knew it came with a better radio than the GA but i didnt expect a good speaker setup which has some good bass and clarity. Theres a small delay on the accelerator sometimes, i think that might be from an electronic throttle? Clearly they havent perfected that method, not as immediate in response as an old fashioned cable system, but a small trade off. If you know your toyotas, you will see alot of the same or similar builds around the engine bay, very similar to the old corola 160i and toyota tazz 1.3 and those cars are still running today.
Awesome summary brother😮 I really loved the swift but I thought the baleno would be a better option🤷🏾♂️🤐 Guess what? My budget was no more than 300k and I ended up with a fiesta ST🤔🥹 I just fell in love with a good condition well maintained example and I just get everything from it. Fuel consumption is around 9l per 100km if you drive mad otherwise it hovers at 7,2l. Always buy a car you happy with. If I got the Suzuki I would be crying 😢as I’m on freeway often😮
@Dr, for the next trip please consider calculating the fuel consumption manually just to see how accurate the trip computer is : (distance traveled ➗️ by amount of fuel put in)
If you are concerned with road noise, try adding sound-deadening sheets. All you need is a few in the doors. They are pretty cheap and can be installed yourself.
Thank you Muzi I really needed this, I was considering buying Swift, but I do long distances sometimes. I might have to go for i20, It was on my shortlist aswell.
Last year December I drove from Centurion to Graskop to Nelspruit and to Kruger National park with one full tank, I only filled up when I drove back to Centurion from Nelspruit. With a Suzuki Swift GLX AMT
No ways you are complaining about road noise😅, I always hear you tell people they don't need sound proofin, they must just turn up their volume 😂😂. Great video bro.

I had 185/65R15 When i used to drive SanderoT900. I drove to CT to PLK every 4 to 6 Months Back and forth between 2018 - 2020 and never had any issues, Until one day i drove with a friend from JHB to CT with His 3 series Bima. I think he had 18 0r 19Inches. Bra we hit one pothole and got a puncture. That time i didn't even know that New Bimas don't come with a spare wheel, we had to wait for hours for Towing company to reach us. The Insurance told him that he is not within 200km radius required therefore he had to pay from his own pocket. If you stick to 120km/h you are looking at 3 full Tanks but with so many trucks you will be doing alot of change downs avg 130-140km/h. It's gonna be fun.
Muzi passing trucks in a small car, he must have had practice by owning a car we won't mention. Fully agree with your sentiments, I once drove 250km twice in a day with a VW up, wasn't enjoyable with the lack of power at higher speeds! Maybe electric drive trains are the answer to the small hatch's power delivery deficiency?
2010/11 1.4 polo 6r. Annual cape to Limpopo trips was about 3 full tanks at avg 5.6 to 6.5 l/100km. But mostly cruise at 140 + if you travel off season then it's much easier to cruise at 120 and just trucks on the road. December its like city driving, everyone's on the road, forget about overtaking in a 1.2. Now With a 3.5 v6 c300, i get between 8 to 9l/100km only if disciplined at 129kph. 4 tanks.

185/65R15 will be perfect. 195/55R15 will be heavy for the small car and you will feel each small bump and handling on rough surfaces will be worst. High risk of punture when hitting potholes etc. I had 195s on my tazz and they were not good...
We got a grand i10 and last December I drove it from Cape Town to venda and back to Cape Town. These cars are great as a daily drive but horrible for long highway distance. Average was over 6 lt per 100km

We from a POV of someone who has driven that car , Id say that car is not bad but I always felt that the car is too high and feels sketchy when you have to hit sharp conners so maybe some thicker tyers and if at all possible a lower suspension 🤔🤔 (but you may feel the bumps a bit more)
Please review the suzuki S-Presso, almost every car reviewer says its a good car for first time buyers, i wanna hear your opinion....a swift is currently expensive

Muzi is a great story teller, oh and his car reviewing skills aren't too bad😉
The fuel consumption is very good🔥🔥🔥❤️ you should do it again but with the baleno
Agreed. I'd also like to see how the baleno performs under long distance pressure 😊
To be honest, this car has been so efficient to me that I don’t rush to fill up the tank during petrol increases. Great commuting car
What about Celerio(petrol wise)
And the best petrol is from BP or Engen
