Bianca is absolutely adorable!!! Thats my dream one of these days too, to get a teacup chi. I had 2 Chihuahuas but 1 passed almost 3 years ago I still have her sister which is 14 years old. ❤❤️

@@heidiguttenberg I love animals! I don’t have children and my pets have been my babies. I recently had to put my doggie of almost 17 years down. I had to put down his sister at almost 15 years old back in 2021. I have one cat left now. It used to be all 3 once upon a time. Pets offer us so much love and affection as well as companionship. It’s unconditional! I will miss them forever. ❤️
Soooo cute! Congratulations 🎉 I had a 2 lb poodle once who got hypoglycemic out of the blue. She just started staggering. From then on I always kept syrup on hand to rub on her gums if she passed out. It happened so fast. It never happened again, though, and I’m sure your baby is fine. But I’d still keep sweet syrup on hand(or whatever your vet says). Much love. Sweet puppy.
Wow! A you please post what. Breeder you used ! I’ve been trying to get so hard to find a reputable breeder because people keep trying to g to scam me?
Omg. All the love! How beautiful! She's giving to all of us too :) I agree totally with all your ideas on her care and respect. Such a confirmation of what an angel you are Heidi. Love her "room." It's so practical and perfect. Enjoy every minute, all of you 💕💕💕 🙏🙏
She is absolutely PERFECT!! Be careful with her anyway because of larger dogs. You can run her around your apartment and that’ll be enough exercise for her little tiny legs. One of your steps is like 20 steps for her. Separation anxiety is the hardest to combat with these companions dogs, but be consistent and she will learn to adjust. Potty training might have its ebbs and flows, just a word of warning. My boy did great and then didn’t, then did great and then didn’t… It wasn’t until he was 7 months old that he finally stopped having accidents in the house. Everyone warned me though that small dogs can take longer to housebreak. We rescued a little dude that was struggling to reach 2kg at 4/5 months old, so we assumed he’d stay a little guy. Even got his DNA analyzed and found out he’s 48.9% Chihuahua 25.8% Miniature/Toy Poodle 14.3% Miniature Pinscher 11% Pug, which further led us to believe he’d stay a little dog. However, he and Mother Nature had other ideas. Once we got him vetted and on all the right meds to battle the multiple common stray street dog illnesses (Coccidia, Giardia & Kennel Cough) this dog would not stop growing, in height and weight. It shocked everyone, even our vet. He’s now a little over 2 yrs old and a whopping 23lbs!! INSANITY! A science minded friend took a look at his DNA and told me that for some reason he just didn’t inherent the genetics responsible for keeping toy breeds very small, but unfortunately it’s most likely because he came for poorly bred dogs. We also got the genetic report for his health too and he came back mostly clear except for carrying one bad gene for dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM1/PDK4), although they tell me he’s not likely to develop the disease because this gene primarily adversely affects Dobermans which is not on his breed mix, but we still keep him on a heart healthy diet and exercise routine to ensure we don’t inadvertently cause it through environmental factors. He’s 40cm long, 55cm chest and 35cm tall! More than double the height and weight he should be for this mix of 4 breeds categorized as Toy breeds! I like to call him my unique big little dude. Chico is our boys name and his bathing process is ridiculous because I’m crazy, I do it around once every 3 weeks because by husband is allergic to his dander. Yes, he’s spoiled. His coat gets brushed out to remove the tiny bit he sheds. Then into a warm bath with coconut oil for his dirty paws to soak a bit while I brush his teeth. Then he’s shampooed & scrubbed, and rinsed clean. Then he’s dried off quickly since he’s not got much of a coat. After that his paw pads & nose get moisturized, and his nails get clipped. Finally, his doggie cologne gets sprayed on and he’s ready to face the world! This dog is my heart! I wish I could share a pic of my unique little big dude here ♥️🐾
@@heidiguttenberg I just recently won the battle with clipping his nails, he just wouldn’t stay still for me for the longest time. It was the simplest answer and always there. He tends to get really mellow with clothes on, so I thought maybe I’d put a shirt on him, have lots of tiny treats nearby and once again try clipping his nails. And it actually worked! I really wasn’t expecting it to though, I was so shocked 😂 But I also think it’s maturity that comes with age too, he’s 2 now, so much less energetic than a crazy wiggly puppy. Before that I was bringing him to my vet every couple of weeks and they’d would do it without a problem from him. You can look for a groomer too, they’d likely offer it as a stand alone service.
@@NativeNYerChicHK yes, my vet has been doing it too! I have 2 cats and I’ve always trimmed theirs myself with no problems. But like you said she’s super wigly being a puppy and I wouldn’t want to hurt her. I will try the shirt and treats trick. Is it one treat as a reward her after clipping one nail? I’ve also tried starting to touch ther nails more most days… We’ll see how it goes 😀
@@heidiguttenberg yes! While you have your vet on hand to do the nail trimmings for now, get her used to touch on every inch of her little body. I did this through massage, especially easy to do at the end of a long day when they’re too tired to wiggle much. Whole body massage, from her head to the tip of her tail, down each leg to each individual paw pad and her nails, handling her face to look closely at her eyes, handling & looking into her ears and even lifting her lips to see her teeth & gums. And get her used to your fingers in her mouth, god forbid she gets something she can’t eat, you have to be able to get things from her mouth and clenched teeth. I use “let me see” or “let mama see” as the command for letting me inspect his ears, eyes, mouth & teeth and he acquiesces, because he knows it’s always followed up with reward & praise. I started it all with the massage when he was too tired to fight much, but now that it’s engrained he lets me do it all while wide awake too now. All of this is actually good for you too, petting dogs is associated with lowered blood pressure! It’s a win-win situation. She gets the massage and you get better health 😊 That way too, if she ever gets hurt and it becomes emergency situation, she’ll already trust you to handle every part of her body and you’ll be able to assess the injury. And with trimming my Chico nails, I start with giving him a few treats before I do anything to get him comfortable and then treat him whenever I see that him starting to become anxious, and he gets a small handful after successfully trimming a few nails, just to let him know he’s doing great. They call that a “jackpot” in training. When your dog training is going really well, instead of giving just one treat you give them a small handful. I did this always when training recall. Whenever he came when I called him, he got a jackpot. His recall is now phenomenal! Also important when training recall is to never ever use their name or the “come” command for discipline and never add saying their name to a “No”, their name can only be associated with reward and praise. That way they’re guaranteed to come when called because you’re instilling that there is a guaranteed positive outcome when heeding that command, whether your recall be their name or the “come” command, or both which I do often, “Chico, Come!” And always in a positive singsong type of voice. He now loves the sound of his own name 🤣

Very sweet that you believe she gives you so much joy - I know precisely how quickly you fall in love, and how intensely you begin to worry about ensuring her health and safety… I know it’s been a while since you shared this video - please do an update on how she’s doing, and how you’ve changed with her love.
This is heartwarming ❤ She is gorgeous and you are doing everything right. I've had two regular size ones in my life. I miss them both. She is probably teething but when she tries to bite, just say no firmly. Much love from Sydney. 🎀❤🎀
I have the same puppy chi, same colour, size but male. It happens I got him the same park, bed and toys! And I have the same issues with anxiety and bitting. How did you deal with bitting? I love him so much. Any advice now that urs grew a few months? They are adorable ❤❤
She grew out of the bitting phase. I tried to redirect her to chew toys every time, and show her she hurt me by fake crying. 😂 I don’t know if it worked or she’s just more mature now.

The British Kennel club do not recognise the so called teacup chihuahua they say they are often bred from the runt of the litter and they may develope many defects I think buyers should be responsible when looking for a dog
I wanted to mention, if Bianca ever gets issues of yelping in pain, with no signs of why, it's probably a spinal-to-brain issue. I was one day away from having Tito 'put down' because all I could do was give him heavy medication, which was literally killing him. I got him back to health by putting peanut butter on his nose because he wasn't eating. The pain episodes had stopped from all the medication. I had to figure out what had triggered the sort of 'seizure' issue. The veterinarian could only suggest extremely dangerous surgery, which might not even work. >>> I guessed that Tito was getting physical jolts when he would jump off of my bed, which could be triggering a spinal-to-brain issue. He wouldn't use steps, so I made a landing pad for him to jump onto. >>> He would still have 'mild' episodes without the horrific yelping for 5-15 minutes at a time. Mild episodes where I could just see that something was wrong. To this day, at 10 years old, that happens maybe once a month, or less. >>> 'The Chihuahua Fortitude': In the midst of the worst days of all that, when Tito could barely walk or bark, he would still try to bark if someone came to the door. So painfully cute... and inspiring; that big 'spark of life' in such a little boy. >>> Good news for you; Bianca is obviously an 'applehead' Chihuahua, Tito is a "deerhead'. I think the larger apple head might mean there is more physical room for the brain, possibly meaning little, to no issues like I have mentioned. Just guessing, but I genuinely feel like the guessing I did with Tito actually worked. >>> Bianca is so cute and beautiful, and so is Tito. My sister-in-law also has a long-haired Chihuahua, called Coco, sometimes I look at them and have to look away because their beauty and cuteness is literally overwhelming.
I love the way Chihuahuas are not afraid of anything. I saw Bianca with one of the cats becoming curious about her. The cat was very wary, but Bianca was not at all. I've had my Chihuahua, Tito around my niece's 80 pound dog, and Tito was the more 'aggressively' playful one. With my brother's 30 pound dog, who was quite playfully 'aggressive', Tito was still aggressive too. His name is Tito, but has quite a few names; I call him Booger or Boogs the most (like booker) because he IS a little booger (fiesty). I also call him 'little boy' a lot. I really only call him Tito when he's in a bit of trouble, or when I'm calling him from another room or something. th-cam.com/video/CxhglDRZuuM/w-d-xo.html and: th-cam.com/video/YIFzSCJ1QjI/w-d-xo.html
I am sorry this is an old post of yours that I am commenting on - but I remember in one of your videos you mentioned that you used minoxidil. (I am not sure if you use topical or oral minoxidil) - but Dr. Gary Linkov here on YT has a video that you may want to watch: "Why I Hate Topical Minoxidil" cue to 7:30 and he mentions the significant toxicity for dogs and cats and how a very small spill can be toxic or even worse (I don't like to use the word that rhymes with natal but so many people do not know about minoxidil and how little the pet can be exposed to that can harm it (just sleeping on a pillow that one has slept on with minoxidil in their hair, or a small spill.) And I am not sure of the half life of minoxidil (how long it is active as in a spill that got wiped off only/no soap and water to remove it) but a pharmacist or vet may be able to advise. Please be safe Heidi and you look wonderful !
Thank you so much for caring for our well being! I stopped a while ago and started a The Ordinary serum instead because Minoxidil made my hair look dirty. I am so glad I did now :)
@@heidiguttenberg Heidi I am so glad to hear this! I was so worried for you and your fur babies and so happy to hear that you are not using it anymore. Now I am using the Ordinary hair serum too (but I am still careful with the serum - I have birds and they like to "preen" my hair sometimes, you can never be too careful - things that are harmless to us can hurt our pets! I love your channel and learning about all things hair, health/self care, and beauty ❤Take care !
I love my chihuahua. 2 ladies. You should not let her lick your make up, It is full of bad things. Not good for skin and not good to eat. They are tiny and can get stomach sick. Just love her and mother her
Please be careful when she licks your face make sure you dont have any makeup that could harm her! (Not to be rude) Having a chihuahua is like having a little angel from heaven indeed!
Just remember she is a dog, don’t smother her and let her be a dog. Try to avoid the big dog syndrome that Chihuahuas can get. Teach her leash walking early on and don’t let her only want to be with you, she needs to learn to her own independence. Get her socialized with everything!

Can you share the breeder from which you got your chihuahua please? I’ve been searching for so long for a reputable chihuahua breeder ❤
You are so lucky!
Awww 🥰

Hi Heidi and Bianca from the UK. Bianca is such a sweetheart I've just got a teacup chihuahua myself called Penny who is my little angel can I please ask have you got a link to the jumper you had on with the pouch ❤ x
Hiiii Sarah ❤️ I’m not sure if they ship internationally www.hudi.com.ar/productos/buzo-hudi-oversize-rosa/ But there it is! Thank you for your kindness and good luck with Penny!!
@@heidiguttenberg thank you so much and good luck with Bianca hope you have many happy years as a family xx ❤️
@@sarahlougray6303 I will share an update of her soon!
@@heidiguttenberg look forward to seeing updates ❤️ x

The British Kennel club do not recognise the so called teacup chihuahua they say they are often bred from the runt of the litter and they may develope many defects I think buyers should be responsible when looking for a dog
Please someone knows how can I have a puppy Chihuahua?❤ I mean I need to buy a good breed of puppy Chihuahua!❤
This was a very sad story. I can tell you love Tito deeply ❤️
🐕🐾💓
I would love to know your breeder I’ve been looking for a teacup chihuahua for about a year now. I live in Georgia.

I love your channel and learning about all things hair, health/self care, and beauty ❤Take care !
can i ask where the breeder was ? your puppy look healthy and not that overbreed :) i
Cuuuutiiiee🍭🍬🍡🧁💜
Thank you 💕🐶
I love my chihuahua. 2 ladies.
You should not let her lick your make up,
It is full of bad things. Not good for skin and not good to eat.
They are tiny and can get stomach sick. Just love her and mother her
Thank you! What are their names?
She is taking inside your makeup
Yeah, no longer letting her do that. Thank you!
Please be careful when she licks your face make sure you dont have any makeup that could harm her! (Not to be rude) Having a chihuahua is like having a little angel from heaven indeed!
I agree!
Just remember she is a dog, don’t smother her and let her be a dog. Try to avoid the big dog syndrome that Chihuahuas can get. Teach her leash walking early on and don’t let her only want to be with you, she needs to learn to her own independence. Get her socialized with everything!
Those dogs r just to fragile!😬
Well, you’re not wrong. I expand on this thoroughout the video. Let’s pray everything goes well for us. 💕
