Regarding being surprised that the songs are still the same quality after you've heard four songs, just wait and see. The Nightwish Army tend to guide reactors on a journey and make sure they are ready for the best songs both regarding depth and quality of composition. Believe me, as good as these four songs are the best is yet to come. It's in particular the two epic songs The Poet and the Pendulum and The Greatest Show on Earth that get even better when you know the band and have read up a little of what the songs are about.
I'll take the chance to throw out another suggestion as well. I'll go with 7 Days to the Wolves from Wembley.

Nice windmill try LOL 7 Days to the Wolves live at Wembley. I saw them in a small venue you will not be disappointed. Place had 500 seating capacity
The LA venue is a couple of Thousand and general admission ie standing. Cant wait

You guys are awesome, you keep me smiling and laughing. You have found quite the hidden gem in this band and vocalist, I discovered them a little over a year and a half ago and they continue to amaze me. Lots of people laugh when I call them the greatest I have ever heard, but they truly are perfection for me and my ears. I am 53, so no spring chicken, I have heard some of the most talented and revered bands and vocalists and history, these guys and Floor top them all for me.

@@TheThamesmen all live: The Greatest Show on Earth (Tampere), 7 Days to the Wolves, The Poet and the Pendulum and Yours is an Empty Hope (all from Wembley) and either Phantom of the Opera (End of an era and with Tarja, not Floor) or Dark Chest of Wonders (Wacken) But there are a lot of other close calls and this excludes some superb tracks from their recent album.
Making top5 is exercise in futility. There is no way to make it and say "I'm 100% certain this is correct".

Ever notice that Marko is (typically) the only one who both plays an instrument AND sings, at the same time, on almost every song? That my friend is TALENT!

Did you notice Emppu passing Floor with his hands up and waving?
He was „saying“: See, I am doing nothing. This time!
To understand that, you‘ve got see, how he pranked her earlier that gig during „I Want My Tears Back“:
At about 45 secs you can see Empuu talking to Troy telling him what he is going to do. At about 4:00 you see Empuu go behind Floor and turn down the volume or turn off her in-ear monitor. Then she reaches behind her. The funniest part is at about 4:30 when Empuu crosses the stage again. Floor turns around to watch him so he can’t do it again. Here you see the height difference between Floor’s 6’1” in heels and Empuu’s 5’3”. They laugh at each other.
There is only one thing to have in mind:
I suggest the Wacken version for every song that is available from this festival. except „U want my tears back“. Only for this „Wacken -song“ I do suggest the Buenos Aires version due to the dancing Floor and the fans.
But maybe you‘ll do the Buenos Aires version first and then have a look at Wacken?!

Troy plays, and sings a little back up at Wacken during the song "I want my tears back".. What's interesting about that songs is during the performance of that song, Empuu (Lead Guitar and prankster) switches off Floors ear piece about halfway thru the song.. If you look close, you can see him talking with Troy as he hatches his plan.. Then about half way thru the song he goes across the stage from right to left behind Floor, just like he would normally do.... but, this time he takes just a second or so longer. What he did is all but cut out of the video but as soon as he comes across you can see Floor a couple times reaching around her back as she is dancing, trying to turn it back on. She finds it and gets it back on, but a few seconds later he starts to come back across stage to get back over to the right, and she spots him.. You can clearly see her spin around staring him down as he is passing behind her the second time.. Most people only notice that moment in the video because Floor and Empuu are very close together just at that point and the difference in their height is very obvious just then as she towers over him.. She is 6'-6'1" without the heels, he is like 5'4" without his platforms.

You'd be surprised, she has mentioned several times that she has watched reactions and has enjoyed them as long as they are informative or entertaining and you guys definitely fall into the latter category. So...you never know!😉

Well done as always guys, great reaction, yeah Wacken is in Germany and is a huge festival. It is pronounced "V" acken, just so you don't get comment correcting you. I think once you are introduced to Troy, that is a great nickname for George, you will see why :) Having seen Nightwish live 11 times now I can say without a doubt you will love it guys, actually being there sends it to an even higher level. Keep em coming chaps, you have so much more to go and some real surprises among them ;)

Wacken Open Air is one of the biggest metal festivals in the world, it is held in the village of Wacken in Germany. It is also one of the most prestigious metal festivals in the world, getting to play there as a band is a dream come true for many metal bands.
We grew up near Reading, England and every summer they had the Reading Rock Festival. Went many times and had some exceptional times there. Would be fun to go to a festival in Germany though

Hello Netherlands. Amazing how every track we have watched so far has been an absolute corker. I am sure at some point there will be a song that is not our favorite but not found it yet!
It's "fun" making a list from best NW song to worst. Upper half is hard because many songs are masterpiece, but then you have to put something in the bottom half and start fighting with yourself. Awkward stuff.

There are still some of my favorites yet to go: Over the Hills and Far Away, Wishmaster, End of All Hope, Nemo, Wish I Had an Angel, amongst others. You're in this far enough you should probably listen to a few songs from the Tarja era and a few from the Annette era to catch up from the past. The End of an Era concert, Tarja's last, also featured John Two-Hawks on the song Creek Mary's Blood, playing an American Indian flute and vocals.
Can't wait for them to see Troy for the first time and realize that George actually looks a bit like him. 😁

Great reaction guys. I have 2 suggestions for you.. 1. "I want my tears back" live at Buenos Aires so you can see Troy and see how it is at a smaller Nightwish concert. 2. "seven days to the wolves" live at wembley to see Troy for the first time, to listen to a song inspired by a book of Stephen King and Floor doing like a 30 second long windmill (the thing that you tried at the beginning 😁). Wacken (pronounced Vacken) is the largest Metal music festival in Europe. Marco and Floor really aren’t like “chalk and cheese”. When Marco wasn’t doing “metal” singing, their voices matched wonderfully. For instance, in Finland, Christmas is celebrated, in part, by a music celebration in which Ave Maria is sung. Floor and Marco sang it together for several years. It’s on TH-cam. Damn,, I’m so sorry that Marko has left. I understand his reasons, but for Nightwish fans, it’s quite a loss.
Your "windmilling" is getting there. Keep it up! By the way, even though some Nightwish fans are under the impression that windmilling was named for our Dutch vocal goddess, sad to say, "windmilling" is a term long used even by poor metal-loving sods who've never even had the pleasure of seeing the glory of Floor doing it.

For your info: Wacken is a town in Northern Germany, (Germany is next to my country The Netherlands) and hometown of the biggest Metall festival in the world.

@@TheThamesmen That is possible, no problem for me, have space enough, and its just a 4 hours drive by car from my place. In other words, you are invited to stay at my place and go to Wacke together, I have not been there untill now. Still on my list.
Wacken says on this moment that 2022 is sold out, but the reason for that is that tickets of Wacken 2021 (what has been cancelled due to covid-19) wil have the first choice to use their ticket for 2022 so everybody has to wait if there wil be tickets available for normal sale.

Wakken was the first big concert after she took over from he predecessor . It was very much a right of passage for fans of the previous two singers.
Sadly the other singer/bassist recently left the band - he was as awesome as Floor and they were very close - but even she was surprised he left so suddenly.
Marko - we all want you back. But most of all take care of yourself right now.

So. If you guys are going to see NW in LA, couple of things. 1st Marco isn't in band anymore. He left just before their live stream concert. Gave notice to Tuomas in December. 2nd Jukka hasn't been drummer since 2015. He was replaced by his good friend from Wintersun Kai Hahto. Jukka suffers from acute Insomnia, so much so that it hindered his playing.

@@TheThamesmen Yep. I saw them just last weekend in Kuopio. And Set list sounded good. Would hope Jukka would sing too. He does in WinterSun songs. They are playing in Helsinki within 2weeks, little less.

Hi guys, just a little bit more windmill practising and you're there. Fun start for your reaction. You mentioned about the skills of these guys of NW. Tuomas has told that every song he has composed begins with a story. When the story is done in his mind he composes music to it. And that's why every song has a story to tell or some other deeper meaning. See you soon. Keep practising, windmilling does good for your neck :)
