i have a 06 charger rt that had stalling problems too. i bought a pcm from FlagShipOne on 2/28 and my car has been running perfect since then, zero stalling ✊
2006 Charger RT 143k So after watching your video I took your advice I went and purchased from flagship 1 inc for $318 came about 2 weeks just installed it today myself in front of autozone. Remove the battery cable remove the pcm which look old and dusty, installed the new one. Started my baby up and sure Enough it FIXXXXXX THE PROBLEM Drove for about 1Hr didn’t shut off didn’t Jerk Didn’t do anything funny thank you for this video my Guy Appreciate cha. Ooo FYI a mechanic at autozone convince me it was the spark plugs which were alll burnt and paid 160 but just saying the ecm was the problem Thank you again
I had this problem for five years, with a lifetime bumper to bumper warranty, only serviced at the same dealership where I bought the car, and they couldn’t or would t fix it. I finally got the ECU from CarComputer Exchange this time last year. Going on one full gear without a hiccup. Car Computer Exchange has a Lifetime Warranty when you return the core. One full year. Before this I couldn’t go a week without stalling, but only spring through fall, not in the winter time.
Hi, I have a Dodge Charger 2008 SXT My car had the same Red Lightning Bolt whenever I would be at a red light. The bolt would appear and my car would go idle, so then I would have to turn it off and back on again to get it to work again. I read all the possible problems such as the Throttle Body, O2 sensors, PCM/ECU, blah blah blah. I ended up getting a new Throttle Body and the problem was still happening. So, I took my Charger to a mechanic who said it was my PCM/ECU acting up and that it would cost me about $900 to fix it. Now look here, I'm just a 20 y/o college student I don't have the type of money for that. I kept looking for possible solutions and I ended up coming across a comment on TH-cam that said before you start changing the throttle body, PCM/ECU, etc. make sure to check your EGV Valve and see if your gasket is not damaged or missing. I took a look at it and there was the problem the whole time. There was no gasket on my EGR Valve at all. I went to AutoZone and bought a EGR Valve Gasket ( the blue one, cost me about 3-5 dollars) and put it on my valve. After that, my car hasn't gone idle at a red light or stop sign since. Before you start changing all of your parts and taking it to mechanics, check your EGR Valve Gasket. Hope it works! 😄
Your plugs going into pcm are dirty then they don't stay tight enough when it occurs again clen plugs on pcm both sides . Water rushes over that box and gets them corroded in no time. If they get to bad they could cause pcm issues clean them as soon as first issue.
I totally agree, that connector (C100) is the entire cause of PCM failure, internal injector drivers/erratic Voltage due to corrosion or loose pins on that connector 😡
2007 Dodge ram 1500 5.7 hemi. The craziest thing i have going on it is,that Cranks an runs like a top but once I crank it up it idles great but here all of a sudden I put it in reverse or drive. immediately cuts off. However the rpms drop till it cuts off like from 600rpms hit drive 300rpms cuts off ,however here's the kicker. I can idle up to 800 rpms in neutral drop it in drive an drive until I have to stop again. changes gears etc. perfect I've tried a bunch of things. To much to list. If you don't mind could you come up with any idea as to why? I'm at a lost but I'm sure its something simple. Ty have a blessed night... Ty again Eric
Man if we can all together put this issue to rest we will ha e Chrysler by the balls. This is a safety issue and plenty of vehicles have had recalls for far less dangerous issues. NHTSA did a bulletin, not a recall, specifically claiming that it “mostly” happened at lower speeds and was not deemed a safety issue. Read the Magnusson/Moss Warranty Act. The Implied Warranty part. Chrysler is fucked. It’s one of two things here: they have known what’s going on the whole time and played dumb, which is fraud, or they really don’t know while all us mofos are figuring it out, in which case they shouldn’t be running a car company. Either way, they’re out! Great cars! Bad management
I'd bet that this video and others like it have made the replacement PCM companies a lot of money... when the real problem is the connectors that plug into the PCM. Every time you swap the PCM you renew the contacts briefly and then they corrode again and same problem all over. rinse. repeat. Change the PCM unplug the plug in the PCM connector's contacts enough times and it might clean them enough to work for a while. Try using Caig Labs DeOxit on the contacts. PCMs don't just fail this often. Electrical connections corrode VERY often. Chrysler/Dodge has long been known to have ground wire corrosion problems and there are many of them on every car. There are a dozen or more proven reasons that the LX platform has stalling issues.... this is just one of many. Chrysler/FCA SHOULD have been forced to recall and fix every single one of them.
If you have a cutting out it can also be the gas tank there is a sensor that goes bad and you can get it fix at the dealer ship I find someone else that had the same problem he had a link to a letter
My 3.5 going into limp mode after it warms up then start idling real fast what can that be? I seen thousand of videos in confused. Help Me!!! They say it could be my egr valve gasket tube or low on transmission fluid just hearing alot of different things no codes popping up but the 02 sensors.
Where was this video like 5 years ago when my brother's 06 Daytona was having the same issues?! Great video, to the point and no showboating. I'm fairly certain he happened to just get a "good" OEM PCM through the dealership. If it ever starts acting up again I'll show 'em this video. Good on you for taking the time for others. So I see that this video is 4 years ago, I truly hope that would not make a difference because I may be in desperate help. So I recently bought a 2006 charger Rt, nice car and very powerful. The guy got long tube headers, it’s catless and all got all kinds of things done. I was driving it yesterday, gave it some gas and it was floating. I was up the street from my house and the car just cut off at a intersection, it started right back up. But why when I hit the gas it seem to stall? I think it can be fuel lines, the fuel pump, anything of that nature.
did the same thing. got an ecm from flagship. 2 years later it stared to die at random. sent it off to them and 3 weeks later they said it was good. and it still shutting down randomly. I swear I'm going to write a novel when I fill out there RMA form.
Been annoying chasing this problem, spark plugs coil packs and one oem PCM. I'm gonna end up buying a 6.4 with missing serial numbers because Dodge says its fine since its not throwing codes
I just subscribed. So I have dodge Durango 2015 limited w 87400 miles on it . Just bought it 5 mos ago n it cut off two days after buying it. Car lot had it 2x and couldn’t figure it out so they took it to dodge dealership 2x and they didn’t fix it either. No check engine light that stays in the history. But my man’s machine as well as autozone machine said fuel injectors 5 and 6. None of the car lot dealership folks payed attention to that and I still have the issue. Love this car but it cuts off randomly like every week or something like that . When it cuts off and I try it right away it has this like bad gas noise or something like it’s trying to turn over but I gotta wait like 5 min and it starts right back up no issue and I’m good again. What the hell!!! I’m scared to just try n fix the two fuel injectors if that’s not it. I’m thinking I may have to trade her in and I don’t want to. Please help me I’m so disgusted. They got me cuz I’m a woman
I think I'm convinced it's the PCM thank you. I was just about to run my car off a cliff. But I do not one question just to make me feel 100% sure, the only way my car stays on is if I keep on pressing on the gas did that also happen to you?
I just got a 07 300c 5.7 hemi that stalls . Haven’t had a chance yet to attempt to look and see what’s causing it but everything I keep seeing on TH-cam points to the ecm or the wire harness or the recalled gas tank

Hey. Just wanted to say I watched your video because my 06 300c was experiencing the exact problems your car was. I ordered my ecm from FS1 and the problem seems to be fixed. 2 days so far no stalls. Thank you for the help. I appreciate it. I had also replaced the gas tank and that was not the issue.
I had a ECU from FS1, it ended up doing the same thing 3 years later. Tried contacting them about the warranty and got hung up on twice. Third call, they agreed to send out a replacement, which ended up doing the same cut off problem not even a week after installing. Dunno what's going on with them but FS1 isn't the answer anymore
Yo idk if it’s the same for yours like it was for mine, but check your fuel injectors! When they get clogged up it can send a misfire and cause the engine to turn off. If you’re driving fast enough, it’ll push the unburnt gas through to your oil and it’ll smell gassy if you’ve been doing it for a while. If this is the case.. get an oil change first and then check your injectors. If they appear to be clean like mine did, it’s probably somewhere within the lines and hoses. Just do what I did, and but a $14 bottle of fuel injector cleaner that goes right into your gas tank. Follow the instructions for the proper ratio to gas. Then drive that treated gas through the lines (took me about 36hrs). I did this last week and my car hasn’t stalled again since “knock on wood” 🤞. I’m not certain if it’s a permanent fix, or just a temporary one. But regardless it’s definitely pointing in that direction for me; based on the situations I’ve had. Hope this helps. Cheers 🤙
My 2004 Durango 4.7 has a random misfire. It’s died once and wouldn’t start. It’d turn over fine but no start. Pulled neg cable. Put back on. Started up. Still missing ecspecially under load. Codes p0032 p0038 p0052 p0058 p0300 I’ve replaced battery and tps. I have a cam position sensor to put in. Wondering if it’s the pcm. The cowl on the 2004 Durangos let water on the computer and the coil packs. I siliconed it. But maybe damage is done to pcm?
10/2020 UPDATE...THE CAR IS STILL RUNNING FINE!!!! MAKE SURE U GET A PCM WITH AT LEAST A 90 DAY WARRANTY BECAUSE MY FIRST PCM LASTED AROUND 2 WEEKS THEN THE CAR STARTED ACTING UP AGAIN.... THE SECOND PCM WORKED FINE AND STILL GOING STRONG.... THE ORIGINAL OWNER HAD ALSO SWITCHED OUT THE PCM BEFORE I BOUGHT IT WHICH MADE ME THINK IT WASNT THE PROBLEM AND CAUSED ME YO CHANGE SO MANY OTHER PARTS OUT....
So when you release the throttle and and you let the car cost and the rpm goes down to 500 or less and tries to cut off what does that mean? My truck is doing that now

I need help figuring out my situation with my dodge charger. 07 sxt 3.5 my throttle light keep flashing with my road contraction light. I replaced the throttle body. When I'm riding on the high at top speed it keeps going. When I'm sitting still it may come on and car shake real hard. Sometimes my throttle light won't even come on. This shit is weird. Sometimes when I am on the highway, I take my foot off the gas pedal then press down on it and it will stall sending signals too the throttle to go faster. Maybe it could be my gas pedal it could be a fuse or pcm. The video is very helpful and that might be my next step is my pcm.
I got a 2006 charger rt and mine is dying just like how you described but it’s very random. It will come right back on after it quits. All kinds of lights will come on the dash and a ding will happen like you said. Rn I’m taking it to a place called aaa transmissions to see if they can find the problem because I’m pretty positive that I have replaced my pcm with a after market pcm. And it has not solved my problem the engine was just rebuilt so Ik it’s not the engine but it is some kind of electrical problem. If any body has any advice I’d love to hear it.
Going through the same thing with my 05 Dodge Magnum. At 1st I thought it was an electrical issue, maybe the battery or the alternator. I had both tested & was all good. First I had to have it towed to the mechanic and he said it was showing security issue codes and that I need to go to locksmith because he thought it was a bad key chip, but somehow he did something that got it up & running again. I drove it home and then took it to the locksmith a few days later and he put it on his machine and it came back with 2 BCM codes & he said that my BCM was malfunctioning and that I should only take to Chrysler to fix otherwise I may end up dealing with same issue down the road. It looks like an easy replacement, any suggestions on next step?
This has happened to my Durango 2008. I just got my 3rd ECM. 2 from other places and now the 3rd from Flagship One. It too shuts down randomly and has throws codes. I noticed that the orginal VIN and current VIN do not match. This is the unit from Flagship One. Do they have to match or as long as the current VIN matches my VIN, which it does, it should work. I should call Flagship One and tell them it doesnt work and this time request that they do change the VIN in the replacement ECM to both match, meaning the original and current VINs.
I just bought a New PCM from flagship one for my2009 charger. It worked for one 2 days than the car went back to stalling. I going to call-and try-to replace it again. What a headache
Hey I just watched your video. I have a 2012 RAM 1500 5.7. Mine started stalling a year and a half ago. I have since replaced the fuse box under the hood, the fuel pump in the tank and it would run fine for a couple days or weeks, and then it would stall again after each of those repairs. I just replace that PCM from FS1 and just sitting in my driveway at idle after about 10 minutes it stalls again. Shut off the key and crank it, starts up and will idle for about 10 minutes then stalls again. 🤔🤔🤔I don’t know what else to check please help
I have 2006 charger and its doing the exact same thing. I recalibrated the throttle body and it ran normal for a hour or so, then started back stalling. Going to order one and see if it works. Crossing my fingers on this one lol.
What if my car is not cutting off I have a 05 Chrysler 300C my car drives fine until he hits 40 miles an hour it didn't have to skip that I can't get rid of and it makes a loud growling noise at the rear back tire I have spent money changing parts and marking them just like you did and still have the same tell me what you think you could be

hello men ,,, my dodge journey 2011 mainstreet ,%80 of times will shut off while driving after that it will cranking but no start, we checked everything by Computer it wasnt show anything ,,the last time i taked off the (+) battery connection and taked on , the car fixed and running normaly ,,they said it is an ECU so what about your opinion? i have too change it or clean it ??????
God this is so cleche. "i'm having the exact same problem" except for mines not an RT i got an '06 Pursuit at an auction about a 10 monthd to a year ago and the very next day it dropped a valve seat forcing a rebuild so i stepped it up a little bit with a cam, forgd pistons and rods, thinking awesome the cars fixed and i got me a new hotrod....NOT. i got it put in and then a week later had to replace the pcm because the voltage regulator went out in it and left me stranded at work (yeah almost as embarrassing as dieing at the stop light) so i bypassed it with an external voltage regulator and got the new alternator charging, then 2 weeks after that had to have the instrument cluster rebuilt, everything digital on it stopped working and the speedo went screwy. i could be doing 65mph on the highway and it would only read 20mph, it drove fine for a few months and then last week it started this shit. i wont bore you with anymore details the car has been an absolute nightmare, it has a new tcm(replaced it yesterday), a new throttle body(2weeks ago), a new pcm(6-7 months go), all new sensors( 8months ago when i finished the rebuild), complete new exhaust at the same time ast he rebuild, and i get the random not stall just dies reward for all my effort whe nit happens it loses connection to the obdii connector when i'm hooked to it logging data trying to tune it and now find out whats causing it to just die randomly. only code left is u0100 and i pray its not the canbus wires i hate chasing my tail on these electrical problems plaguing the early LX platforms, it had the p0700 with it orginally(y i replaced the tcm). It still randomly dies at idle after the tcm was replaced all my connectors are clean no corrosion anywhere. I talked to a friend at the dealership he thinks its a coil or an injector back feeding into the pcm and instead of blowing it resets itself causing the connection loss and it being able to fire right back up after it dies. He's only seen it do that 1 time in his 20 years of working for chrysler all of the other causes are the usual suspects. Dirty conenctors, loose pcm, bad pcm or tcm or both, a broken/frayed/shorted canbus wire lol must be why the plate on it and my channel names are what they are, the car is a hotmess. I think "money pit" would have been a more suitable name for it.
We got the PCM from Flagship 1. Didn't work..still cutting off. Sent it back, just got it back Thursday & it's STILL cutting off. Replaced everything under the hood😢 Maybe the cats are stopped up?
Mine did the same thing....so I sent it back and got another one...and it's been fine every since....I even read where a guy sent his back 3 times....they have a lifetime warranty
i have a 300c with the 5.7L hemi i have a problem when i get up to about 40mph it strats jerk jerk back and forth almost like im tapping the gas a little at a time but im not and also when i get have my foot on the break getting my car to around 2-mph my RPM's go up a little and it feels like a hard shirt and jerks you think replacing my pcm ive replace the throttle body didnt help and just replaced coils and plugs im hoping you can shine some light my way
So did it ever shut off and not come back on for like 30 minutes? My 2013 challenger was completely dead and nothing came on when I turned the key. When we were dragging it home all of the sudden everything just came back on. Just wondering if your ever shut off for that long?
The previous owner replace the PCM aftermarket on mine. my acts like somebody just turn off the ignition switch but it does it every once in awhile. No codes .. I think I'm going to have to replace the PCM again.

I have crysler 300,a 2016 model, and sometimes it shuts down for no reason. The code is UO 147, and po 128. Do you think I need a new pcm i can fix the 128 code but the other is the problem.

@raheema.b3037 no it didn't I figured it out on my own it was the spark plugs that auto zone sold me bosh platinum plugs hemi don't like platinum plug so I bought some different plugs champions 570 plug and it fixed it been driven it for mouths now no issues or problems and the plugs that auto zone sold me wouldn't even give me my money back
@raheema.b3037 try the plugs first because it's cheaper than the ecm and if it don't fix it then you should try the ecm but the champions 570 black tip plugs fixed mine
@raheema.b3037 and I even took it to the shop and they charged me $300 to tell me they think it's my ecm that they weren't sure they couldn't even fix it so I bought a ecm and still nothing so I did a lot of research on hemi forms and that's when I ran across them saying to use champion 570 plugs black tip and it worked like a charm
I've got a 2006 magnum rt with alll those bells/chimes, speedo and tach going haywire, dash warning lights flashing, goes into limp mode but keeps driving until you slow or stop then hard to get going again but no stalling....sometimes after shutting off after one of these episode I have hard time restarting and stalling!
I have a 1999 Dodge Ram Van 3500 w/ 5.9L gas engine . I'll be driving and all of a sudden the engine just cuts out, dies, turn key off, turn on, starter engages but no power. Just turnz turns turns, like not getting sparl. Fiddle with wires under dash, hood, nothing... fiddle again try again starts right up. Then could drive anywhere from one to 3 blocks and does it again. Gotten so bad im afraid to drive anywhere, but the van is my home now, so i need to stay mobile. Already had replaced all ignition wiring not long ago. Horn stopped working too. Not sure what to do now.

08 magnum 80% of the time wouldn’t start, when it did start I would drive it around and it would shut off, purchased PCM from dodge dealership and they installed it so far it's starting up but it still shuts off. So do you think it’s a bad PCM that I purchased from them? By the way, I took it back to dodge they’re still trying to figure it out
yes..... its crazy but they was telling me not to get one from dodge....and to get a aftermarket one from fs1inc.com or car computer exchange....and i did....the first one made my car drive good for like 2 weeks.....then it went back to the same problem which let me know its something withb the computer....like a virus or some....so i sent it back and got another pcm....and this one been fine for 2 years and counting
If you have a Pick and Pull scrap yard near you these PCM/ECU's are not that big, and mold to your back or your shorts fairly easily as long as you wear a thick jacket and loose pants. Ebay has them for a couple hundred bucks too...not sure about Amazon... But Pick and Pull should have one or two ....
Gotta p0335 code for “crankshaft sensor” replaced the crank sensor car still will just shut off (WHILE MOVING). Only happens when I get in the higher temps like 210? Got a new ECM, spark plugs, cleaned throttle body, temp sensor, fuse refusals, alternator, radiator, water pump, cam sensor. Almost a brand new car and this shit still broken. I’ve seen the pcm from flagship, you get it, breaks after 2 weeks, and get it then breaks after 2 weeks. What should I do
Just got a charger rt 2006 with the same problem. Shop told the previous owner it’s pcm. My question to you is should I buy one from flagship or there’s a place local to me that can rebuild them. So buy a new one or rebuild it? There both around $300

Wassup how did u obtain the letter? I called Chrysler and they said they are not honoring NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID Number : 06V341000 (FAULTY PCM) they are only honoring faulty airbags that can be fixed at the dealer.
I have a 2012 Chrysler 200 Touring that shuts off own it’s own. Today I was turning and it died, then here comes a semi who I thought was going to t-bone me. Escaped without incident. I’ve been to Chrysler 9 times and none of their mechanics can figure it out

I have an 06 magnum sxt, and my car just cut off on my way back to from San diego when i jumped on the freeway. Power steering just gone, gas pedal did nothing. I was barley able to get to the shoulder in time. I had to AAA my car back to L.A. And i've been running the diagnostics in my head trying to figure it out. no error code on the dash. The only thing that i did different was filling it up with 87 gas, but i know that's not it. Now the engine just cranks and won't start anymore. I've been checking out alot of vids on this and i'm hoping it's just the pcm. How's yours been holding up?

Figured it out a while back. it was both the fuel pump and sender. Runs good now aside from gas gauge showing incorrect when full, but works fine when half full to empty. phew! I kept the new pcm and my braking, shifting, and power have improved.
using friends acct today, but are you still on here to help a brother out? Got an 06 Pursuit that has a haunted electrical systems. Turns itself "back on " 5 seconds after removing key.
I got a PCM coming from Flagship1 coming this Friday. I pray this will fix my wifes 08 SRT8 charger. We had 208K miles with not one problem then this. I have already replaced every thing else and it still won't run right. There is no ticking or knocking so I just don't think it's a cam or timing chain. But it idols really rough and has random miss fires. It smells really rich though. So this is my last resort LOL.
@@rossdog806 Nope I did a compression test and cylinder 4 had no compression. So i pulled the valve covers and found a broken valve spring. So 15$ for a spring and 120 for the comp cams spring compresser. And it was back on the road. I suggest doing a compression test. So you can trace it down better.
i got the same problem. replaced my pcm twice..1st time i replaced it with dodge..lasted 2 years...try to replace it again with them tried to charger me 1700 for it..went to a guy a friend recommend..charged me 600..it worked for 2 weeks and now stalling again...took it back to his shop..should i tell him to get the computer from where you recommended?
Supposedly it could be an ignition switch too! I had a friend with codes u0100 and u0700. I have the same issues and still dealing with it. Thanks for the info. One friend used fs1 and fixed his stalling too.

Hello I have the same issue with my 06’ Dodge Magnum Hemi RT First auto zone said I need a spark plugs and a engine coil. The very next day all the lights came on in my consul I went to AutoZone again they printed out my report and said I needed a whole new front control module. I Purchased a Front Computer Module from Car Computer Exchange It didn’t work I’m going to subscribe right now! Any advice is appreciated!! Thank you!
the tricky thing about the control module is that...the first one i put on my car didnt work.....i googled and found a guy that said his first one didnt work either.....so i sent mines back and got one from another site called fs1.inc and it worked and my car has been fine for 2 years now.... i honestly recommend trying another before you go into replacing a lot of parts like i did.....lets be certain thats not the issue first....the one i had on my car was from mopar and had like a 2015 date on it...so it wasnt the original neither....

I have to pay only $100 and they’re supposed to fix anything. But they say it won’t shut off for them. Then I gotta worry about a Mopar replacement not being any better. I’m driving around in a car I bought new at same dealership with lifetime bumper to bumper warranty and this thing still shuts off randomly. Some days it shuts off 15 times, no rhyme or reason as to when or why. Sometimes just once. Sometimes I can go a month a think it’s all behind me. One thing though. It didn’t happen at all during winter time here in Charleston , SC

I went and purchased from flagship 1 inc for $318 came about 2 weeks just installed it today myself in front of autozone. Remove the battery cable remove the pcm which look old and dusty, installed the new one. Started my baby up and sure Enough it FIXXXXXX THE PROBLEM Drove for about 1Hr didn’t shut off didn’t Jerk Didn’t do anything funny thank you for this video my Guy Appreciate cha. Ooo FYI a mechanic at autozone convince me it was the spark plugs which were alll burnt and paid 160 but just saying the ecm was the problem

I had this problem for five years, with a lifetime bumper to bumper warranty, only serviced at the same dealership where I bought the car, and they couldn’t or would t fix it. I finally got the ECU from CarComputer Exchange this time last year. Going on one full gear without a hiccup. Car Computer Exchange has a Lifetime Warranty when you return the core. One full year. Before this I couldn’t go a week without stalling, but only spring through fall, not in the winter time.

Hi, I have a Dodge Charger 2008 SXT
My car had the same Red Lightning Bolt whenever I would be at a red light. The bolt would appear and my car would go idle, so then I would have to turn it off and back on again to get it to work again. I read all the possible problems such as the Throttle Body, O2 sensors, PCM/ECU, blah blah blah. I ended up getting a new Throttle Body and the problem was still happening. So, I took my Charger to a mechanic who said it was my PCM/ECU acting up and that it would cost me about $900 to fix it. Now look here, I'm just a 20 y/o college student I don't have the type of money for that. I kept looking for possible solutions and I ended up coming across a comment on TH-cam that said before you start changing the throttle body, PCM/ECU, etc. make sure to check your EGV Valve and see if your gasket is not damaged or missing.
I took a look at it and there was the problem the whole time. There was no gasket on my EGR Valve at all. I went to AutoZone and bought a EGR Valve Gasket ( the blue one, cost me about 3-5 dollars) and put it on my valve. After that, my car hasn't gone idle at a red light or stop sign since. Before you start changing all of your parts and taking it to mechanics, check your EGR Valve Gasket. Hope it works! 😄

Your plugs going into pcm are dirty then they don't stay tight enough when it occurs again clen plugs on pcm both sides . Water rushes over that box and gets them corroded in no time. If they get to bad they could cause pcm issues clean them as soon as first issue.

I totally agree, that connector (C100) is the entire cause of PCM failure, internal injector drivers/erratic Voltage due to corrosion or loose pins on that connector 😡
2007 Dodge ram 1500 5.7 hemi. The craziest thing i have going on it is,that Cranks an runs like a top but once I crank it up it idles great but here all of a sudden I put it in reverse or drive. immediately cuts off. However the rpms drop till it cuts off like from 600rpms hit drive 300rpms cuts off ,however here's the kicker. I can idle up to 800 rpms in neutral drop it in drive an drive until I have to stop again. changes gears etc. perfect I've tried a bunch of things. To much to list. If you don't mind could you come up with any idea as to why? I'm at a lost but I'm sure its something simple. Ty have a blessed night... Ty again

Man if we can all together put this issue to rest we will ha e Chrysler by the balls. This is a safety issue and plenty of vehicles have had recalls for far less dangerous issues. NHTSA did a bulletin, not a recall, specifically claiming that it “mostly” happened at lower speeds and was not deemed a safety issue. Read the Magnusson/Moss Warranty Act. The Implied Warranty part. Chrysler is fucked. It’s one of two things here: they have known what’s going on the whole time and played dumb, which is fraud, or they really don’t know while all us mofos are figuring it out, in which case they shouldn’t be running a car company. Either way, they’re out! Great cars! Bad management
I'd bet that this video and others like it have made the replacement PCM companies a lot of money... when the real problem is the connectors that plug into the PCM. Every time you swap the PCM you renew the contacts briefly and then they corrode again and same problem all over. rinse. repeat. Change the PCM unplug the plug in the PCM connector's contacts enough times and it might clean them enough to work for a while. Try using Caig Labs DeOxit on the contacts. PCMs don't just fail this often. Electrical connections corrode VERY often. Chrysler/Dodge has long been known to have ground wire corrosion problems and there are many of them on every car. There are a dozen or more proven reasons that the LX platform has stalling issues.... this is just one of many. Chrysler/FCA SHOULD have been forced to recall and fix every single one of them.
If you have a cutting out it can also be the gas tank there is a sensor that goes bad and you can get it fix at the dealer ship I find someone else that had the same problem he had a link to a letter

Where was this video like 5 years ago when my brother's 06 Daytona was having the same issues?! Great video, to the point and no showboating. I'm fairly certain he happened to just get a "good" OEM PCM through the dealership. If it ever starts acting up again I'll show 'em this video. Good on you for taking the time for others. So I see that this video is 4 years ago, I truly hope that would not make a difference because I may be in desperate help. So I recently bought a 2006 charger Rt, nice car and very powerful. The guy got long tube headers, it’s catless and all got all kinds of things done. I was driving it yesterday, gave it some gas and it was floating. I was up the street from my house and the car just cut off at a intersection, it started right back up. But why when I hit the gas it seem to stall? I think it can be fuel lines, the fuel pump, anything of that nature.
did the same thing. got an ecm from flagship. 2 years later it stared to die at random. sent it off to them and 3 weeks later they said it was good. and it still shutting down randomly.
I swear I'm going to write a novel when I fill out there RMA form.

I just subscribed. So I have dodge Durango 2015 limited w 87400 miles on it . Just bought it 5 mos ago n it cut off two days after buying it. Car lot had it 2x and couldn’t figure it out so they took it to dodge dealership 2x and they didn’t fix it either. No check engine light that stays in the history. But my man’s machine as well as autozone machine said fuel injectors 5 and 6. None of the car lot dealership folks payed attention to that and I still have the issue. Love this car but it cuts off randomly like every week or something like that . When it cuts off and I try it right away it has this like bad gas noise or something like it’s trying to turn over but I gotta wait like 5 min and it starts right back up no issue and I’m good again. What the hell!!! I’m scared to just try n fix the two fuel injectors if that’s not it. I’m thinking I may have to trade her in and I don’t want to. Please help me I’m so disgusted. My 05 hemi magnum was doing the same. It was the key, the mechanic reprogram it and it work again and no cutting of after 2 seconds.

I just got a 07 300c 5.7 hemi that stalls . Haven’t had a chance yet to attempt to look and see what’s causing it but everything I keep seeing on TH-cam points to the ecm or the wire harness or the recalled gas tank

My 06 Charger dies at red lights and when you restart the car and put it in drive it takes a few seconds for it to go into gear.

I had a ECU from FS1, it ended up doing the same thing 3 years later. Tried contacting them about the warranty and got hung up on twice. Third call, they agreed to send out a replacement, which ended up doing the same cut off problem not even a week after installing. Dunno what's going on with them but FS1 isn't the answer anymore
Yo idk if it’s the same for yours like it was for mine, but check your fuel injectors! When they get clogged up it can send a misfire and cause the engine to turn off. If you’re driving fast enough, it’ll push the unburnt gas through to your oil and it’ll smell gassy if you’ve been doing it for a while. If this is the case.. get an oil change first and then check your injectors. If they appear to be clean like mine did, it’s probably somewhere within the lines and hoses. Just do what I did, and but a $14 bottle of fuel injector cleaner that goes right into your gas tank. Follow the instructions for the proper ratio to gas. Then drive that treated gas through the lines (took me about 36hrs). I did this last week and my car hasn’t stalled again since “knock on wood” 🤞. I’m not certain if it’s a permanent fix, or just a temporary one. But regardless it’s definitely pointing in that direction for me; based on the situations I’ve had. Hope this helps. Cheers 🤙
My 2004 Durango 4.7 has a random misfire. It’s died once and wouldn’t start. It’d turn over fine but no start. Pulled neg cable. Put back on. Started up. Still missing ecspecially under load. Codes p0032 p0038 p0052 p0058 p0300
I’ve replaced battery and tps. I have a cam position sensor to put in. Wondering if it’s the pcm. The cowl on the 2004 Durangos let water on the computer and the coil packs. I siliconed it. But maybe damage is done to pcm?
10/2020 UPDATE...THE CAR IS STILL RUNNING FINE!!!! MAKE SURE U GET A PCM WITH AT LEAST A 90 DAY WARRANTY BECAUSE MY FIRST PCM LASTED AROUND 2 WEEKS THEN THE CAR STARTED ACTING UP AGAIN.... THE SECOND PCM WORKED FINE AND STILL GOING STRONG.... THE ORIGINAL OWNER HAD ALSO SWITCHED OUT THE PCM BEFORE I BOUGHT IT WHICH MADE ME THINK IT WASNT THE PROBLEM AND CAUSED ME YO CHANGE SO MANY OTHER PARTS OUT....

I need help figuring out my situation with my dodge charger. 07 sxt 3.5 my throttle light keep flashing with my road contraction light. I replaced the throttle body. When I'm riding on the high at top speed it keeps going. When I'm sitting still it may come on and car shake real hard. Sometimes my throttle light won't even come on. This shit is weird. Sometimes when I am on the highway, I take my foot off the gas pedal then press down on it and it will stall sending signals too the throttle to go faster. Maybe it could be my gas pedal it could be a fuse or pcm. The video is very helpful and that might be my next step is my pcm.
If u changed the throttle body and the filter then it might be a computer aka PCM issue
I got a 2006 charger rt and mine is dying just like how you described but it’s very random. It will come right back on after it quits. All kinds of lights will come on the dash and a ding will happen like you said. Rn I’m taking it to a place called aaa transmissions to see if they can find the problem because I’m pretty positive that I have replaced my pcm with a after market pcm. And it has not solved my problem the engine was just rebuilt so Ik it’s not the engine but it is some kind of electrical problem. If any body has any advice I’d love to hear it.

Going through the same thing with my 05 Dodge Magnum. At 1st I thought it was an electrical issue, maybe the battery or the alternator. I had both tested & was all good. First I had to have it towed to the mechanic and he said it was showing security issue codes and that I need to go to locksmith because he thought it was a bad key chip, but somehow he did something that got it up & running again. I drove it home and then took it to the locksmith a few days later and he put it on his machine and it came back with 2 BCM codes & he said that my BCM was malfunctioning and that I should only take to Chrysler to fix otherwise I may end up dealing with same issue down the road. It looks like an easy replacement, any suggestions on next step?

This has happened to my Durango 2008. I just got my 3rd ECM. 2 from other places and now the 3rd from Flagship One. It too shuts down randomly and has throws codes. I noticed that the orginal VIN and current VIN do not match. This is the unit from Flagship One. Do they have to match or as long as the current VIN matches my VIN, which it does, it should work. I should call Flagship One and tell them it doesnt work and this time request that they do change the VIN in the replacement ECM to both match, meaning the original and current VINs.

Hey I just watched your video. I have a 2012 RAM 1500 5.7. Mine started stalling a year and a half ago. I have since replaced the fuse box under the hood, the fuel pump in the tank and it would run fine for a couple days or weeks, and then it would stall again after each of those repairs. I just replace that PCM from FS1 and just sitting in my driveway at idle after about 10 minutes it stalls again. Shut off the key and crank it, starts up and will idle for about 10 minutes then stalls again. 🤔🤔🤔I don’t know what else to check please help

I have 2006 charger and its doing the exact same thing. I recalibrated the throttle body and it ran normal for a hour or so, then started back stalling. Going to order one and see if it works. Crossing my fingers on this one lol.

God this is so cleche. "i'm having the exact same problem" except for mines not an RT i got an '06 Pursuit at an auction about a 10 monthd to a year ago and the very next day it dropped a valve seat forcing a rebuild so i stepped it up a little bit with a cam, forgd pistons and rods, thinking awesome the cars fixed and i got me a new hotrod....NOT. i got it put in and then a week later had to replace the pcm because the voltage regulator went out in it and left me stranded at work (yeah almost as embarrassing as dieing at the stop light) so i bypassed it with an external voltage regulator and got the new alternator charging, then 2 weeks after that had to have the instrument cluster rebuilt, everything digital on it stopped working and the speedo went screwy. i could be doing 65mph on the highway and it would only read 20mph, it drove fine for a few months and then last week it started this shit. i wont bore you with anymore details the car has been an absolute nightmare, it has a new tcm(replaced it yesterday), a new throttle body(2weeks ago), a new pcm(6-7 months go), all new sensors( 8months ago when i finished the rebuild), complete new exhaust at the same time ast he rebuild, and i get the random not stall just dies reward for all my effort whe nit happens it loses connection to the obdii connector when i'm hooked to it logging data trying to tune it and now find out whats causing it to just die randomly. only code left is u0100 and i pray its not the canbus wires i hate chasing my tail on these electrical problems plaguing the early LX platforms, it had the p0700 with it orginally(y i replaced the tcm). It still randomly dies at idle after the tcm was replaced all my connectors are clean no corrosion anywhere. I talked to a friend at the dealership he thinks its a coil or an injector back feeding into the pcm and instead of blowing it resets itself causing the connection loss and it being able to fire right back up after it dies. He's only seen it do that 1 time in his 20 years of working for chrysler all of the other causes are the usual suspects. Dirty conenctors, loose pcm, bad pcm or tcm or both, a broken/frayed/shorted canbus wire lol must be why the plate on it and my channel names are what they are, the car is a hotmess. I think "money pit" would have been a more suitable name for it.
We got the PCM from Flagship 1. Didn't work..still cutting off. Sent it back, just got it back Thursday & it's STILL cutting off. Replaced everything under the hood😢 Maybe the cats are stopped up?

i have a 300c with the 5.7L hemi i have a problem when i get up to about 40mph it strats jerk jerk back and forth almost like im tapping the gas a little at a time but im not and also when i get have my foot on the break getting my car to around 2-mph my RPM's go up a little and it feels like a hard shirt and jerks you think replacing my pcm ive replace the throttle body didnt help and just replaced coils and plugs im hoping you can shine some light my way

The previous owner replace the PCM aftermarket on mine. my acts like somebody just turn off the ignition switch but it does it every once in awhile. No codes .. I think I'm going to have to replace the PCM again.

@raheema.b3037 no it didn't I figured it out on my own it was the spark plugs that auto zone sold me bosh platinum plugs hemi don't like platinum plug so I bought some different plugs champions 570 plug and it fixed it been driven it for mouths now no issues or problems and the plugs that auto zone sold me wouldn't even give me my money back
@raheema.b3037 try the plugs first because it's cheaper than the ecm and if it don't fix it then you should try the ecm but the champions 570 black tip plugs fixed mine
@raheema.b3037 and I even took it to the shop and they charged me $300 to tell me they think it's my ecm that they weren't sure they couldn't even fix it so I bought a ecm and still nothing so I did a lot of research on hemi forms and that's when I ran across them saying to use champion 570 plugs black tip and it worked like a charm
I've got a 2006 magnum rt with alll those bells/chimes, speedo and tach going haywire, dash warning lights flashing, goes into limp mode but keeps driving until you slow or stop then hard to get going again but no stalling....sometimes after shutting off after one of these episode I have hard time restarting and stalling!

I have a 1999 Dodge Ram Van 3500 w/ 5.9L gas engine . I'll be driving and all of a sudden the engine just cuts out, dies, turn key off, turn on, starter engages but no power. Just turnz turns turns, like not getting sparl. Fiddle with wires under dash, hood, nothing... fiddle again try again starts right up. Then could drive anywhere from one to 3 blocks and does it again. Gotten so bad im afraid to drive anywhere, but the van is my home now, so i need to stay mobile. Already had replaced all ignition wiring not long ago. Horn stopped working too.
Not sure what to do now.
Sounds like a electrical shortage... Or PCM issue

My friend has a 2005 dodge magnum and he was on his way out for some errands. He claims he turned on the car and as he was about to take off and put it in drive the car made a weird noise and just shut off and continues to not start up any idea what it could be?
08 magnum 80% of the time wouldn’t start, when it did start I would drive it around and it would shut off, purchased PCM from dodge dealership and they installed it so far it's starting up but it still shuts off. So do you think it’s a bad PCM that I purchased from them? By the way, I took it back to dodge they’re still trying to figure it out
yes..... its crazy but they was telling me not to get one from dodge....and to get a aftermarket one from fs1inc.com or car computer exchange....and i did....the first one made my car drive good for like 2 weeks.....then it went back to the same problem which let me know its something withb the computer....like a virus or some....so i sent it back and got another pcm....and this one been fine for 2 years and counting

Yelp especially if it's not having any exhaust problems
If you have a Pick and Pull scrap yard near you these PCM/ECU's are not that big, and mold to your back or your shorts fairly easily as long as you wear a thick jacket and loose pants.
Ebay has them for a couple hundred bucks too...not sure about Amazon...
But Pick and Pull should have one or two ....
Gotta p0335 code for “crankshaft sensor” replaced the crank sensor car still will just shut off (WHILE MOVING). Only happens when I get in the higher temps like 210? Got a new ECM, spark plugs, cleaned throttle body, temp sensor, fuse refusals, alternator, radiator, water pump, cam sensor. Almost a brand new car and this shit still broken. I’ve seen the pcm from flagship, you get it, breaks after 2 weeks, and get it then breaks after 2 weeks. What should I do
I did sparkplugs all 16 and the throttle body it fire up better and sounds ready

Just got a charger rt 2006 with the same problem. Shop told the previous owner it’s pcm. My question to you is should I buy one from flagship or there’s a place local to me that can rebuild them. So buy a new one or rebuild it? There both around $300

What’s up I have 06 Charger SRT8 and I just replaced my throttle body because the dealer said it was an internal vacuum leak that was causing it to stall but a day after I got it back, it stalled again but at random at red lights

Yeah I got a letter from dodge free repair take your viachles to get it done for free at any dodge/ Chrysler/ jeep / ram dealership to reprogram powertrain control module
Wassup how did u obtain the letter? I called Chrysler and they said they are not honoring NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID Number : 06V341000 (FAULTY PCM) they are only honoring faulty airbags that can be fixed at the dealer.
I have a 2012 Chrysler 200 Touring that shuts off own it’s own. Today I was turning and it died, then here comes a semi who I thought was going to t-bone me. Escaped without incident. I’ve been to Chrysler 9 times and none of their mechanics can figure it out

I replaced the starter and alternater and my car ran then kept turning off had to jump it after replacing alternater it turned on then off now it's not doing anything . Could it be ECM...

I have an 06 magnum sxt, and my car just cut off on my way back to from San diego when i jumped on the freeway. Power steering just gone, gas pedal did nothing. I was barley able to get to the shoulder in time. I had to AAA my car back to L.A. And i've been running the diagnostics in my head trying to figure it out. no error code on the dash. The only thing that i did different was filling it up with 87 gas, but i know that's not it. Now the engine just cranks and won't start anymore. I've been checking out alot of vids on this and i'm hoping it's just the pcm. How's yours been holding up?
Mines been holding up fine.... Yours sounds like the timing chain jumped...

Figured it out a while back. it was both the fuel pump and sender. Runs good now aside from gas gauge showing incorrect when full, but works fine when half full to empty. phew! I kept the new pcm and my braking, shifting, and power have improved.
using friends acct today, but are you still on here to help a brother out? Got an 06 Pursuit that has a haunted electrical systems. Turns itself "back on " 5 seconds after removing key.
What codes was the computer giving you after it would die
I got a PCM coming from Flagship1 coming this Friday. I pray this will fix my wifes 08 SRT8 charger. We had 208K miles with not one problem then this. I have already replaced every thing else and it still won't run right. There is no ticking or knocking so I just don't think it's a cam or timing chain. But it idols really rough and has random miss fires. It smells really rich though. So this is my last resort LOL.

@@rossdog806 Nope I did a compression test and cylinder 4 had no compression. So i pulled the valve covers and found a broken valve spring. So 15$ for a spring and 120 for the comp cams spring compresser. And it was back on the road. I suggest doing a compression test. So you can trace it down better.

i got the same problem. replaced my pcm twice..1st time i replaced it with dodge..lasted 2 years...try to replace it again with them tried to charger me 1700 for it..went to a guy a friend recommend..charged me 600..it worked for 2 weeks and now stalling again...took it back to his shop..should i tell him to get the computer from where you recommended?
Supposedly it could be an ignition switch too! I had a friend with codes u0100 and u0700. I have the same issues and still dealing with it. Thanks for the info. One friend used fs1 and fixed his stalling too.

the tricky thing about the control module is that...the first one i put on my car didnt work.....i googled and found a guy that said his first one didnt work either.....so i sent mines back and got one from another site called fs1.inc and it worked and my car has been fine for 2 years now....
i honestly recommend trying another before you go into replacing a lot of parts like i did.....lets be certain thats not the issue first....the one i had on my car was from mopar and had like a 2015 date on it...so it wasnt the original neither....

Ghostwriter901 thanks man that’s the info I’m looking for. I have a lifetime warranty on my car but they won’t replace things until they can prove that’s what’s wrong. It’s fucked up. I have to pay only $100 and they’re supposed to fix anything. But they say it won’t shut off for them. Then I gotta worry about a Mopar replacement not being any better. I’m driving around in a car I bought new at same dealership with lifetime bumper to bumper warranty and this thing still shuts off randomly. Some days it shuts off 15 times, no rhyme or reason as to when or why. Sometimes just once. Sometimes I can go a month a think it’s all behind me. One thing though. It didn’t happen at all during winter time here in Charleston , SC
