Has to be my favorite shop tool projects on utube, nice design and cheap enough for the average Joe to build, great work Tony, we love the tips and tricks
Thanks Tony it was a great edit of the original build I really enjoyed watching the build again and might consider doing one for my shop; time and material permitting after my back surgery 😁
Nice bit of fabercobbeling for an inexpensive bead roller it turned out awsome . and my wife allways wonders why I have a pile scrap steel laying about. thanks for taking the time to show this build.
I had laugh when I saw your "poor mans lathe" to turn the drum shaft down. I showed my son much the same thing a few years to turn down the OD on a bushing. He looked at me like I was nuts until he saw it work and then he asked, "Where did you learn all this sh*t?" My response was simply, "By learning how to make do when there was no other way." I was a rig welder for years and one of my forte's was making things work in the field when there was "No other way."
The modifications made the bead roller so much easier to use. With the original bead roller, you'd have a lot of difficulty doing the beads for the panels for Crusty. Hope to see more of Crusty's build soon. All the best from Queensland Australia, where it's still really hot here after the hottest summer on record and fall is looking like it might break records for the heat also.
For all their limitations those cheap rollers are brilliant, I have one and it's been a game changer for my metal working and at a price that is affordable, cheap stuff like this enables the average person to equip a workshop, especially if you are only doing it as a hobby, and with modifications as shown it becomes even more usable, here in Britain that product is sold as the brand Vevor, I also have one of their plasma cutters which has been perfectly acceptable (these days 6mm for me is heavy cutting, 3mm or less is the norm). Whilst I may not go the full build it has given me food for thought for my own one, and like the gentleman I too have a materials "stock" 😊.
Hey Fitzee. I watch the entire series. I love the way that you built it. The best was you did it with stuff that you already had in your shop. I bought mine from Princess Auto. Thanks for sharing. 👍👍🍁
Great summary video Tony. I've watched all of the other ones too. I have the same bead roller and am planning on some mods to it as well. Very inspiring. Thanks for sharing your skills with us.
Ok i found this amazing i made a remot control mower cus am handicapped and i used to modify tools all the time so seeing u do this made me proud great job looks amazing
Love you Tony but you sound a little jacked up !👍😁 Love it you need to slow down a bit !😁 But I'm looking 👀 I want a beautiful job you do ! Thank you so much for sharing !
Nice!!!! I need to upgrade my bead roller!!! I want to get it knocked out, but I want to get "Carried away" with it too!!! The Cliff's Notes version before I get started on mine. Looking forward to what is next!!!!!
Great job, looks excellent, certainly looks the part certainly make it easier to use on your own, thanks for sharing, all the best to you and your loved ones
I have to finish my bead roller I started to over a year ago. I'm finishing my srinker stretcher stand first only a couple of hours left then back to the bead roller. Im going to use my old engine stand now as a base using 2x2's so I can mount other base units on it for shaping metal. I want to swap tools out when needed.
exceptional work and excellent information throughout all the videos, i been in the industry many years and have now adopted your methods, and they work very successfully, thank you fitzee the finished work speaks for itself
alright Fitzee mate.. How's it going pal. U have the weirdest accent I've ever heard. I know u come from IRELAND anyways but I can hear some Aussie in there or something like that but u also have that American twang too. U musta done a fair bit of living elsewhere other than Ireland. Where are u originally from lad? Louth? I have to say how impressed I am with the build u put together here my friend. I only found ur channel last night and it was the 1st video I watched this morning. Brilliant rejig of a Chinese cheaper POS but u managed to turn it into an A++ piece of kit my friend. Keep up the great work and salute to u sir from Dublin. U gave me some nice ideas for making some machines with shelving like that. I'm building a new table saw so this sheet metal will b e brilliant for the cabinet of the saw. It'll be a cabinet saw when I'm finally done.. I'll be watching more of ur content soon and I sub'd & liked too btw..
I have one off those machines and it works very well for the cost, it most certainly is not a pos as you call it, the fact that he made it much more usable is great but if it had been supplied like that many would not afford it, with the suggestions the limitations can be overcome, long may we be able to get affordable kit like this.
@@CrusaderSports250 have a day off mate. I respect what the guy did with the POS cheap Chinese crap. He made it a much better and stronger bead roller.
@@fitzeesfabrications That's crazy man bcos I thought u were Irish with some living done elsewhere. I was way off there pal. I ;oved that build of the bead roller. Keep up the great work my bro. Take care..
@@fitzeesfabrications Thanks Tony. That's good to know as I think I have a winch like that in my scrap motor pile that is for recycling. It may get a second chance at life. I really like these tool builds.
Back when everyone was saying "you need to add a fan to those electronics!" and all that, and I said I was like, 99% sure you'd be fine without one. Well it's been a few months and you've used it a bunch... verdict? It ever overheat or have problems that make you regret not adding cooling?

It's terrific the way you use recycled / scrap steels for your builds. 👍👍
Thanks for this one Tony. Liked the full build on your other channel.
Cheers, 👍💪✌

Thank you SO much Fitzee , I am getting the same one you started with ,so now I can make it even better. 😊
FITZE I was only dreaming of building a multi purpose machine like this here in Ireland for my body work 🇮🇪 on my classics, God bless keep safe

If you want super fine speed control change the potentiometer for a "ten turn" type, they cost very little👍
Thanks Fitzee!
You should come out to Red Deer for a visit and help out a Roddickton guy with his old cars 😁
I love to do a trip out that way. Do much cool old iron

Wow Tony! That's a masterpiece! Is the motor over worked or just sounds a little strained?
That's how it sounds.

I watched the build on your other channel. how's it working , would you change anything if you had hindsight vision?
So far it's working great. Changes? None so far.
Nice
Can you share the amazon parts you used? I`m going to have to do this to my roller. Think i like building tools more than working on cars…lol
The parts I shared in a link in the motorized video I did.
