Another TH-cam video watch a tale of three cabins. He shows you how to change hydraulic oil without taking those ridiculous clamps off and not messing with that rubber hose. I did it like he did, and wasn’t too bad at all.
Thanks for tuning in. I too have seen his video and you bring up a good point to make it easier. But think you still should remove at least the lower clamp on the hydraulic pump suction hose. It is critical that when reinstalling the manifold and suction screen into the transmission that it be absolutely straight. Which is difficult to guarantee unless removing the lower hose clamp and hose. I’ve tried doing that and found it easiest to just remove both clamps so you have the “Wiggle Room” to reinstall the hose after inserting and bolting the manifold and screen back into the tractor. I then reinstall the hose and clamps. The owner’s manual references the importance of having the filter screen inserted absolutely straight and warns of possible damage to the transmission if not done properly. I don’t think it is easy to do that with the hose still attached to the manifold. Hence, why I believe that, every time you mess with that rubber hose you could put that part at risk. Thanks again for tuning in - greatly appreciated.
I’d like to offer a suggestion. Leave the loader on the tractor when removing a rear wheel. Put the bucket all the way down. Then when you take the wheel off it stops the unit from wanting to tip.
Great idea - Do you lock in the loader once down? And is this safe to do this when draining out all of the hydraulic fluid during the transmission maintenance?
Haven’t you heard that “Size doesn’t matter” 😂 - My little JD with a FEL, Backhoe, grapple, box blade & pallet forks gets everything done here in our Mini-Farm that I ever need to do - it may take a little longer to get it done but isn’t it all about the pleasure of “Doing it” 🙃
I use it to mow 6 acres of grass and 1 acres garden that's all I use it for the other one gets everything done on my farm all I need is the 3025r I got 100 acres it pulls logs ot of the woods with no problem 1025r struggles with the logs.
Here's a parts diagram for the Transmission Strainer: th-cam.com/channels/cPvCkKFbhQRzURGnTABkyw.htmlcommunity?lb=Ugkx_-qPm36AkkhqJxS3N-jk2DcNpdk614Hc

Only thing is to me is the 1025r is 3:48 nothing but an over size lawn mower I have the 3025r more power and more stable than the 1025r.

@@billypirtle1443 Big farm vs. Mini farm - I can see why you’d need bigger - But the littler 🚜 serves my 10 acres well 👍
