I've watched a lot of videos of people making wooden tree swings and your video is the best it's simple yet very well made !! I'm a woman who likes doing things like that and appreciate you
Thanks for this, I'm looking at doing a similar project and wanted to see how others attached the seat. I can't believe you don't have more subscribers you did a great job

Thank you for sharing your opinion! Actually, I didn't buy the equipment, I borrowed them from my dad. I think you just need a piece of wood, rope, and a drill to make this simple tree swing.
@@garyroberts3859 Yeah, I’m always buying tools for projects, but there’s no need to spend a lot, if you’re not doing projects all the time. I started out spending as little as I could. I’ve found that a lot of the cheaper tools work really well. I use a handsaw I bought at Lowe’s for $10. You can get sandpaper sheets for $4 or less. Hardware stores have drills for $50, places like Walmart, Amazon, Target sell them for $30. There’s some good brand drills on marketplace, also goodwill.
Wonderful!! Hey, this is from Family Handyman we are interested in your video and want to partner with you. Please contact us back so we can discuss more. Thank you
As a parent, you have a whole new perspective on these things, and choosing a wood tree swings is not to be taken lightly. Thanks for this informative video. I will surely order ours soon on treeswingstore.com

@@linhlai472 can you tell me the size of the rope?
It’s 1/2 inch or 3/4 inch. I’m a tiny girl, so I used the 1/2 in rope.
Lovely! I needed inspiration for my swing and I like your build. Thank you!

Great video! How did you hang it from the tree (where you separated the rope)? It’s hard to see in your video.

But with lots of expensive equipment

All you need is a handsaw, sandpaper, and a drill.
@@kiwigirlNZ have you seen the prices of those things recently?

Don't bother lol. They were looking for an excuse not to make this and they've apparently found it.
