  • Well even when It is my day off I am still working! We bought these swings for our daughters and wanted to have them hang from the tree instead of a swing set. There are a bunch of ways to do it this is just the easiest plan I came up with to hang them. It went smooth and my daughters are having a ton of fun on them. Being a holiday weekend it gave me a chance to get this done for them and not a customer for once. I did go back and use different rope that does not stretch as much. They did come with straps to put over the branch but our branch was way to big for the straps to work. Thanks for watching and your support on my ever growing channel!

    Tying the weight to the end and throwing it over the branch was the big tip I needed 😂. Funny how some videos help with the EXACT same situation You’re in. Thanks!

      Yes thanks for doing this except for I bought the belts that go around the tree I have a similar swing I bought at Sam's and it came with the belts that go around the tree it almost looks like a seat belt I needed an extension so I bought the 10-foot ones and I believe that they stay in place so that it's not grinding back and forth on the tree like a rope would because it's flat. We shall see thank you so much for this video I was trying to think of what I could throw over the tree Branch. Lol I have a beautiful family

    Whew! Thanks 😅this was my idea, I go to hunt how too videos & everyone just up on the branch tying the rope on.😅 they either all short trees or tall ladders. Idk, but im glad to know my brainstorming idea might work. Lol HOWEVER! I got the strap things to hang on the tree so im not sure I’ll be able to catapult those. Lol wish me luck!

      Yeah, I wasn't able to put the straps on the tree! The rope ended up breaking. So my plan B I used aluminum chain.

    Thanks for the video. I just about to hang a swing to a tree, but those ropes won't slide down? I am just wandering if I need to put something to avoid ropes kept sliding around.

      They do make tree straps to install first. But it becomes tough depending putting those up if its real high up. You need a tall ladder

    Im more interested in that luscious green grass you have there. What are you doing to get that?

    • @HANDYMANHEADQUARTERS
      @HANDYMANHEADQUARTERS  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Fertilizing throughout the year, aerating, overseeding, cutting at 3.5 inches.

    How long until the friction of the rope rubbing against the branch (as it swings) tears the rope?

    • @HANDYMANHEADQUARTERS
      @HANDYMANHEADQUARTERS  ปีที่แล้ว

      They came with two sections made for the branch of the tree then you tie the ropes into that. This branch is so high I couldn't use those.

    • @HANDYMANHEADQUARTERS
      @HANDYMANHEADQUARTERS  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You could use swing chain too.

      I have the same question. My tree is too high to regularly inspect it. Just concerned abt not noticing when its worn.

    So, the rope that is on the swing is the type of rope you need to use because it is weather resistant and doesn't stretch!
