Getting into a PC MIDI controller for the first time. back in college (20 years ago, wow I feel old) I bought a used set of Technics and a Vestax mixer and got pretty good at mixing. I was heavily into the Hardcore/Freeform side, looking back on it now I was right there at the start of Freeform, when it branched from Trancecore. After living and working for a long time wanted to get back into it as a hobby for fun, and went with the Party Mix because its relatively cheap and seems good enough for beginner/fun usage. Using a MIDI controller on a PC is different from spinning Vinyls, hopefully this will help me get into using it a bit more.

What do you mean by that? The Party Mix is just a midi controller you don't transfer music to it

Any converter, it doesn't really matter - you could use a DAW if you have one

Tom Fearn-Wannan soo.. Could you help me out then? I am a total beginner, since I just planned on learning how to DJ for a Hobby. I was looking around on Amazon and I found the Party Mix. It had pretty good ratings and the price was.. Okey... For a Controller, I'd buy to decide If I would ever even put enough effort into learning how to DJ. So.. Here I am now, seeing all them pros mixing and stuff, but not having a clue for myself where to start. What should I do?
First, sorry for the delayed response. But if you haven't already, you should test the waters with a free software like Virtual DJ first. See if the whole process of mixing & making the decisions of what track to play next is one that you really enjoy enough that spending cash on hardware would be an investment.
If you've already decided its definitely something for you, the Part Mix does look to be one of the best starter controllers currently available. I haven't used it myself, but having helped research for a friend who was also just getting started, I can comfortably recommend it, as I'm sure any of the Digital DJ Tips team could confirm. However if your budget can stretch it, you might be able to find something like a Pioneer DDJ-SB2 at a lowered price due to the newer model (SB3) being released not too long ago. These controllers are exceptional for starting DJs, are very good build quality, and are absolutely packed with features for the price point.

Yes, you either need powered speakers, or an amplifier and speakers.

Yes, you can. It may already be mapped to Djay Pro but if not, it is easy to do.

@@tay-lq6db both are small, easy for traveling but soon you have to buy a better one because the party mix doesnt offer a lot if you want to take dj-ing a little more seriously

Usual Dj controllers have much louder output music than the mini ones, is that true?
Not "much louder". If you were DJing anywhere that had a mixer, you could easily compensate for it by turning the mixer gain up a little.

Yes you can, Soundcloud perhaps - lots of producers offer free downloads of music

I connect it properly on searto etc and it say"trying to connect nukmark party mix. It can take up to a minute" and then it fails to conmect. Any solution

I’m an electronic music artist. Not a DJ put I’m wondering if this would be something good for playing my sets. All I technically have to do it push buttons since my music is made in my studio but I’m want to make my set a performance. Could we use Earbuds for DJ Headphones
You could in theory, but it's best to use headphones with a headband, as you need to be able to repeatedly take them on and off, and sometimes have them on one ear only - you want something you can quickly adjust, which isn't possible with earbuds.

No you shouldn't do, with Serato for example you just plug it in and it unlocks automatically

You could with the right adaptor, you'd need to find software on Android that worked with it or cold be mapped to it though.
